John D.These guys are great, Fairly priced, on time, honest work, no rip off high pressure sales pitches to do things you don't really need.....just down to earth good plumbers. I would definitely count on these guys. Tyler was my plumber and did a great job!
Susan S.About 3-4 weeks ago, my home's AC unit decided it wasn't going to blow any cool air and of course, it came at an opportune moment when the weather decided to hit 90º. In brief, I went to Yelp and looked up companies handling HVAC services. I initially wanted to go with one other company but decided to look up Klaus & Sons - SO GLAD I DID!!!! I couldn't be more happier and 200% satisfied with the services of Klaus & Sons. My father (William) spoke with John Howe and Gene, the technician and both went above/beyond the level of customer service. This company has been in business for 40+ years - not only are owners and staff experts in the field of HVAC services, they understand connecting with their clients/customers. For me, that's a WIN in my book. You get what you pay for - 100% customer satisfaction if not more.
Sandy W.The city gave me a notice that I had a leak. I called Klaus and Sons and they sent out Fred. He immediately went work and fixed the problem. I was so afraid it would be a big costly job. It turned out to be an easy fix and not so expensive. Thank you Fred!
Henry R.These guys are awesome. Total professionals. They are arrive on time, get the job done and are very fair. I would highly recommend Klaus and Sons for your plumbing jobs. Thanks for all your help Tyler
Our 30 year old Lennox ac finally quit and we needed to replace to a more efficient (non R-22) system. Dan came out and courteously explained what needed to be done, and gave us 3 options. Based on other quotes, their price was competitive. This included permit and HERS testing, not presented as add-ons.. Despite being in a severe hot spell, they were able to come out in a very reasonable timeframe and installed over 2 days, We were impressed with the professionalism and care of installation- covering wood floors to avoid scratches and thorough clean up when done. Kevin, Junior and others were polite and took time to explain what they were doing and discuss some options during installation. A senior technician came out to check and fine-tune the system after installation. All in all very pleased.
David W.Updated August 28, 2016 - our water heater gave out and also discovered a mold issue too. Wes came out within 1 hour of my initial call and came back the next day to finish the job. Not only did he and one of the owners come out on a Sunday to replace the water heater, they helped to replace the drywall and patch the wall! Great service, timely and fair priced. We really appreciate their professionalism and the great work they did - seriously went above and beyond! Would highly recommend them!
This company is horrible!!! We had our a/c installed 6 years ago. First of all they did not connect the gas line and left my house with the gas line on. I called the owner and he was very apologetic and sent Gene out to fix. I swore I was never going to call them back out! However, the warranty was amazing and we were having a problem. The warranty stated that it was for 10 years all parts warranty including all tax and material and labor. So we called them out for the system not working properly and the young kid Junior said that my outlet at the system melted because of not changing out the air filters soon enough (not true) and then proceeded to alter my contract and mark that it was only a 2 year warranty, which is completely illegal, as it is a binding contract. They did not fix the problem and I had to call them back out. They found the correct problem and Gene said he was going to charge me for the part, especially since I did not pay for anything earlier. Again, I referred him to my contract and he proceeded to angrily argue with us. He finally said, fine here just take it, I have had a long day, to long to argue with you. This is very upsetting!!! First of all, I did not create the contract. Sorry that you guys hired the person who did, but that is not my fault. The system was $5,000 and I did not appreciate being argued with over a binding contract that is not alterable! I am writing this today because we are selling our home and the home inspector is telling us that there needs to be a grommet on the gas line or a rigid gas line should be installed inside the furnace unit to promote safety! Really, another thing that they did not do correctly! What happened to the grommet the system came with? Why did they use a flexible gas line when that is no longer up to code? I really should be calling them to come back out to fix, but I am afraid of how I will be treated and don't want to argue over not having to pay for it because of my contract. I would seriously avoid this company if I were you! Ridiculous!!!
Kristen M.My husband and I were tired of the inefficiency of our AC. While the unit itself was operable, the system just wasn't working for us. We were constantly scrambling for ideas to make our home more comfortable but keep our energy costs reasonable. At around the same time we decided to replace our taxed water heater we decided to look into having our attic insulated. We had a couple of quotes on the attic insulation and I felt like the bids sounded ""gimicky"" trying to sell us services and products I didn't really feel that we needed. My husband thought of Klaus and Sons and made the call (at around 530pm no less) and they were out the next day. John listened to our energy concerns, got a feel for what we really needed, surveyed our attic, and talked with us about our options for a solid two hours. His knowledge and expertise was absolutely unmatched. Literally unmatched, not a single contractor explained or suggested the solutions that John laid out for us. We were so comfortable with the solutions that he suggested that we signed the contract immediately.
Klaus and Sons, removed our old duct work and replaced it with updated, insulated, properly- sized ducting, redesigned our system to properly circulate air throughout our house, thoroughly and properly sealed all of our walls and attic space, and insulated our attic. Oh, and they even installed a new water heater for us!
Each person who has worked in our house throughout the process has taken their time to do the job thoroughly and correctly. They absolutely pride themselves on a job well done and it shows. They have worked tirelessly, neatly, and efficiently, but I've been most impressed with how well they all work together. This is a company that operates like a well-oiled machine. Everyone communicates clearly, they have a common goal of satisfaction for a job done right. We've been hugely satisfied with the work that Klaus and Sons has done in our home. Thorough is the best word I can use to describe the manner in which this company works. They have worked above and beyond the scope we expected. We're not only pleased with the level of skill, professionalism, and expertise of Klaus and Sons but we're almost indescribably more comfortable. There is a measurable difference in the way that our AC system operates. Our house is cooler, more comfortable, the airflow is vastly improved, and the system is running smoother and more efficiently than ever before.
The only thing I regret about this process is the money and the time we wasted before realizing the magic that Klaus and Sons delivered.
***I would be remiss not to mention that mid-AC improvement I asked if they might be interested in removing our fireplace and opening up our house a bit. This was previously only a dream to me. The fireplace was nothing short of a monolith. It was a huge, solid rock structure. Not like the type of rock fireplaces you might see in a cabin, not a rock facade, these rocks were huge. Floor to ceiling with cantilevered concrete hearths on each side (yes, it was a two-sided beast) and about twelve feet across opening into the living room and kitchen. While interesting and unique, it really never suited the style of our home and was also non-functional as it had no damper/flue and only filled our home with smoke on the few occasions we opted to use it over the years. We'd discussed cosmetic options previously and even consulted with concrete/masonry contractors to see if they might be able to improve, if not remove, it. It seemed insurmountable to us for so long. When I asked John whether it was something they might be willing to tackle he responded that while it would be a job that it was nothing they couldn't handle. They handled it! The difference is amazing; we now have better airflow, more open, updated, cleaner, and just a completely improved state of our home.
Katrina G.This is a great company to do business with I had a plumbing issue and I was able to have some one come out right away to give me a asement and quote on my situation it was great to have that done at no charge where every other place I checked with wanted a fee just to take a look. After hearing what had to be done the price was very reasonable and the work was able to be done very quickly for me my workers name was Fred he was great very professional and wonderful personality he did a fantastic job and if I ever have any issues again will use this company
A D.Thank You to Wes who came out today and worked so hard to solve my grohe fixture issue. A great product but just a little lacking in the instructions made his job much harder than it had to be. Thank You for not giving up and fixing it and saving me some money in the process.
