They didn't show up for the job!

I set up an appointment and they gave me the window of 9 AM-1 PM. They sent texts to confirm. I canceled my other activities for the day. At noon, they called to say they would be late, approximately 1 PM-1:30 PM. At 2:15, they called to say they would not be out to do the job.

I canceled all my plans to sit home and be strung along by them all day long. I still have a broken faucet and will now have to start over with another company.

I contacted them due to a sewage backup in my basement. They responded quickly but brought several other companies in requesting signatures to repair my home.

They responded quickly plumbing was repaired for $50,000.00. Property Medic was working with them and doubling the cost of everything they coordinated (movers, storage, furnace and hot water heater. My insurance questioned the exorbitant costs and I was told ""get your own furnace and hot water heater because your insurance isn't cooperating.""

Then the property medic estimator told me he was sorry because our tile was not asbestos, ""because we make more money when it is.""

Imagine my disappointment as a senior with a disabled husband. I refused to let them do anymore work and hired another company. Now 6 months later kirkwood plumbing is sending more bills for 3,000.00 more dollars.

A neighborly company is not very neighborly.

I find this company is professional, reliable, and capable. They say what they're going to do and they do it precisely. They are excellent at communicating with you as to how and what they are doing. I highly recommend them. I am very satisfied.

My kitchen sink was blocked for days. I finally broke down and called. They came out and fixed it. It may need further repair but at least it is fixed for now. You don't realize how horrible it is to be without a kitchen sink. Eric our technician was professional and did a really nice job. Good value. Highly recommend Kirkwood Plumbing.

Yesterday, this company came to me, for which I am writing a 5 star review.
What I liked was the price (lower than the competition).
We arrived quickly, repaired the hole in the shower and cleaned it. Carefully!
I recommend and will continue to use this service.

I set up online appointment for estimate and never heard from them. Maybe they like to pick and choose and just was not interested in installing our new stand alone bathtub because we didn't buy it from them.

Two stars because they were responsive and very quick to get out and diagnose my problem.

We had a shower that stopped providing hot water. I sent out a request for help on yelp, and Kirkwood plumbing was one of the first to respond. I showed the plumber where the standup shower was and within 15 minutes the plumber called me downstairs where he had the shower handle, taken apart.

He explained that the valve within the wall needed to be replaced and that part alone was over $400. He then explained that the drywall would need to be cut out on the other side, and that the cost to repair this would be $1700, not including patching the drywall. He stated that he does not do drywall, but would connect me with another contractor who does.

The price seemed asinine, so I told him I would be quoting this out. Reached out to my buddy who does all his own plumbing and he was absolutely appalled by the quote. He said we were getting ripped off and to get other quotes.

He pulled up the exact valve that was going to be replaced and it costs under $200. That same day while leaving my house I saw that a neighbor had a plumber's truck out front. As luck would have it, the plumber was in his car having lunch. I rolled down my window and asked him if he could quote the work. He agreed and came back with a price under $500 including parts and labor.

Pricing is so off base it's laughable. I told the other plumber what they quoted and he was in disbelief. Highly recommend seeking out alternative options if you can spare the time. They're clearly a responsive company - but their pricing practices appear to be on the extremely predatory side.

The price for a ""minor toilet rebuild"" (as said on invoice) was $315.35. I could have bought a new toilet at Lowes or HD for $150 or even the parts for $50, as found out later. Very disappointed and this was a rip off.
