I called them in for a blocked shower through my Home Warrant company. The technician they sent called and said he would be there in 15 min. An hour later no sign of him. I call him and he says again I'll be there in 15 and was finally there 45 min later. He looked at the shower, took a little plastic tool and took a ball of hair out and said that was my problem. I asked him if he was sure and whether he needed to snake the pipe and he said no. Next morning I have the same issue and calll them back. They were not able to come out for 4 days although this was a job not done properly. I schedule for the next available date but literally the next morning, the shower has sewer coming out of it. When I called them they lied and said technician snaked the pipe and this is a new problem and would not be covered etc. besides them not accepting responsibility the woman on the phone was extremely rude and yelled at me. Will never use them again

They came out and fixed somethings for us and did a great job they guys were very nice

This company was dispatched to my house by American Home Shield to diagnose a garbage disposal and dishwasher backup. The company mysteriously cancelled my appt for the previous day stating that they had left me a voicemail and did not get a call back. I did not have a voicemail or missed call from them. And I now had to wait another day to resolve my issue. Anyway, the technician arrived after the 8:00-12:00 window. Who doesn't love sitting around all day waiting for a repairman? Once he arrived, he was very rude. Didn't say anything at all really. Took one short look under the sink and went to his car to call AHS. AHS called me and stated that the technician reported "misuse and abuse" of the disposal. He reported "there's a refrigerator worth of food in the disposal". Well of course there is...it's freaking clogged and a weeks worth of food is coming back up! That's why we called you! If it was working correctly, I wouldn't need you. The tech never came back in the house to explain anything to us. I'm assuming AHS told him how mad we were and he just drove away. Terrible customer service. Terrible experience with this company and AHS. Will not use or recommend them to anyone.

SO very bad! Had three different issues with them, initially there was just one! Every time they left there was a new problem. Had to talk to them over an hour and they still charged me for three visits. RUN! They could care less about the customer! The TECH used horrific obscenities!
USE someone else!

I had a bathtub backing up at my apartment last week, and I got this company recommended by a friend. The plumber that came out was really helpful, we had a bit of a language barrier but he was really fast and efficient. He was in and out in no time! He managed to clear the drain line and haven't had any problems since then! Thank you guys at Kintex! You are all true life savers! I will definitely be recommending this to company to my family and friends!

I had a problem with the wand kit of Moen Pull Down faucet in our kitchen. Plastic part (strain) that regulates the flow at the bottom of sprout got disintegrated/broken into pieces due to corrosion and fell into sink hole. This left me with no strain/regulator on the sprout. Not surprisingly when I turn the faucet on, water just rushes out and makes it difficult to use it. So I decided to use my home warranty and Kintex Plumbing was assigned to my house for this work order by American Home Shield.
The tech from Kintex came in and without even trying to understand the problem, he prepared and submitted a "part missing" report. I tried to explain him that the part is there but due to corrosion, middle of it got broken and fell into the sink hole. He was not a professional guy trying to diagnose the problem but he was in hurry to leave the house and get my $75 check.
I got a phone call from American Home Shield after he left and AHS told me that my claim was denied due to "missing part" based on this technician's report. AHS also told me that, $75 that I paid towards my deductible was used towards Kinetex trip (easiest money that Kinetex can make by ripping out people like that - at least that's how it felt) and I should forget about it. AHS also mentioned that Kinetex could replace my faucet if I pay $275.
Guess what I told him?

Never use this company. The serviceman they sent out was rude and arrogant. He acted like he did not want to do the job. Going with another company.

I'm an AHS customer and Kintex was dispatched to complete a shower faucet leak and to replace the garbage disposal. They were quick to respond and get the job done (Sidenote - plumber showed up in an unmarked van with no windows and no company uniform. He was dressed in plain clothes - seemed kinda weird, but okay) However, when replacing the garbage disposal, the plumber had to remove undercabinet contents (just a few things) to do the work. After the new garbage disposal was installed, he left the undercabinet contents out on the floor along with the old garbage disposal. I thought for sure he would put what he removed, back into the cabinet, but no!
Once he collected the deductible fee, he looked as though he was leaving. I needed to check that his repairs worked before he left. While I was doing that, I asked him to put the undercabinet contents back into the cabinet. He seemed confused, but I thought he would oblige.
Once I returned to the kitchen area to check, he was already leaving out the front door. When I mentioned that he left all the contents out on the floor, his response was, "It's not my job, my job is to replace.", and he walked out the door. Ummm...okay? Professional? Everything was great, until the end - I don't know what happened to trigger that sort of unprofessionalism. Maybe he was insulted that I needed to check and make sure everything was working properly before he left - who knows? Nonetheless, completely unprofessional!

I don't know which is worse, Kintex or AHS. When Kintex came to my house to look at my water heater that said that it was damage secondary to rainwater! All they told us was that it needed to be replaced and they did not tell my husband or me why. They said AHS would contact us. Really! I almost called the bank to stop payment on the check at I had to give them for NOTHING!I had a second opinion and the rainwater cause was a total LIE. In addition we had asked if they would have a water heater on the truck when we scheduled the appointment and if they could fix it that day. We were told yes. We already knew we needed to replace the water heater. Needless to say, a week later we still don't have a new water heater. Now we have to wait on AHS to put the numbers together. Needless to say, we do not recommend Kintex or AHS.

This is MY experience with Kintex in the Houston, TX area. I made every effort to resolve my issues without any luck.
I have a contract with American Home Shiled. My water heater broke and I was sent a team from Kintex. I was told that I needed a new WH. I was also told that it would need to be brought up to code- so I would have to install a "gas trap for 75.00, and that a carpenter would be needed to adjust the vent, that would be an additional 200.00. I was told the heater would be ordered and I could schedule the install. I questioned that additional costs, and they said that AHS only authorized the WH. The wrote up the order, and I paid my 75.00 co-pay and they were off.
This is where it gets interesting. AHS will pay for any code requirements related to a repair, but NOT modifications. So, because of how the additions were presented to AHS, as "modifications"- even though i was told by the workers that it was required. Once it was submitted to AHS, it could not be changed.
When I called the Kentex office, I was told that it was required by them to do the additional things- again- ti was required by the city code. When I asked why it would be $200.00 to adjust the vent over the WH, I was told that "Well, you should be thankful it was not more, I have seen much larger charges for this sort of work".
AHS refused to budge.
So, Kentex showed up, and installed the new WH.
They were here about an hour.
One guy was on the roof for less than 5 minutes to "adjust the vent". and the put some silicone caulk around the vent. This was on the one-story roof of my house. When I asked him about the charge, he became very defensive. I was not rude to him at all - just curious to know how they could justify $200.00 for it, he could not.
By the way, I was told I would need a carpenter to do it. It happens that I am an experienced and skilled carpenter, and I have re-roofed my own house before. There is NO way that this was a 200.00 "job". It should have been part of the instillation.
So- Kentex was paid by American Home Shield $570.00 for the eater heater. I paid 75.00 for Kintex 75.00 to come tell me that it needed to be replaced, and another $275.00 for them to install it, and make the "adjustments". Total paid to Kentex for a Water Heater?
$970.00.
I don't mind people making a living, or making a profit for their work.
I also don't mind never using this company again.
I also mind being made to feel that I am being manipulated by both this company, and AHS. AHS just raided their rates and their co-pay.
I just hope you read this review if you have AHS...jsut so you'll be prepared when Kentex shows up. KNOW the difference between a CODE requirement and a "modification". Also tell the service person whey they arrive, you want to know what they plan to tell AHS BEFORE they call them to report your problem.
