If it was possible to give them a zero I would. I used the Kintex plumbing in Florida. They were set up with me because my home warranty company referred me to them. I suddenly had a bad leak of water in the bathroom coming from the bath tub. It was sending water onto the floor and making the floor wet every time I turned on the tub. The tub was being used about 3 times a day for the entire 2 years I have lived in the house. They sent a plumber that had a major attitude, kept complaining about how hard the job would be, how much work was involved, and clearly seemed like he did not want to do this. It clearly seemed like he was trying to get out of doing the job. He even said I should call the company that made the bathtub. In any case, he said some piping and parts were needed and he would get back to me. The next thing I know, the home warranty company calls and says that the plumber thought the leak was months old and they would not cover it. Really??? Who would have water pouring out from under the bath tub for months and not call for repair. That is beyond absurd. The tub was used daily for the 2 years I lived there, with no leaks at all, or of course I would have called if there was. If the guy was either lazy or incompetent or both, they should just have not taken the job and charged me a fee. They caused problems with the home warranty program because of their poor plumbers. This was an active leak with water visible and getting the floor wet and they were called the day it happened. I highly suggest to NEVER USE THIS COMPANY and if you are referred to them by your home warranty company, refuse them and ask for someone else. You can not do worse. Their plumbers are incompetent, lazy, unprofessional, and really do not know what they are doing.

RESPONSE to comment by owner:
What you say is not true or relevant. You do have control over the coverage company because you are acting as their agents, they send you out, you are paid, and you make a the plan for them to follow. They use you as their eyes and opinion. When you send out someone with an attitude, that is lazy and does not want to do the job, lies about what the problem is, and tells that to the coverage company, they will use that as an excuse not to cover something that anyone with a few brain cells would know is an acute problem. There is a leak, it just started, there is water on the floor, there was not water there before. Your employee says it was there for a long time, and that is absurd. Anyone with common sense would know that I am right and your employee is wrong. It shows you hire incompetent people that have poor judgement and are a poor reflection on your company. The problem is, it affected me and would affect anyone that is foolish enough to use your company. If you were a legitimate company, you would care about this and the other negative ratings about your company to try to avoid this happening. You are not offering to fix it, I even called to see if you would send someone else out, and you did not. Bottom line, the guy you sent is incompetent and unprofessional. You are making excuses for him, so therefore that behavior is ok with you. You offered nothing to fix it, so again, anyone considering using your company should run and choose anyone else.

I called them in for a blocked shower through my Home Warrant company. The technician they sent called and said he would be there in 15 min. An hour later no sign of him. I call him and he says again I'll be there in 15 and was finally there 45 min later. He looked at the shower, took a little plastic tool and took a ball of hair out and said that was my problem. I asked him if he was sure and whether he needed to snake the pipe and he said no. Next morning I have the same issue and calll them back. They were not able to come out for 4 days although this was a job not done properly. I schedule for the next available date but literally the next morning, the shower has sewer coming out of it. When I called them they lied and said technician snaked the pipe and this is a new problem and would not be covered etc. besides them not accepting responsibility the woman on the phone was extremely rude and yelled at me. Will never use them again

This company was dispatched to my house by American Home Shield to diagnose a garbage disposal and dishwasher backup. The company mysteriously cancelled my appt for the previous day stating that they had left me a voicemail and did not get a call back. I did not have a voicemail or missed call from them. And I now had to wait another day to resolve my issue. Anyway, the technician arrived after the 8:00-12:00 window. Who doesn't love sitting around all day waiting for a repairman? Once he arrived, he was very rude. Didn't say anything at all really. Took one short look under the sink and went to his car to call AHS. AHS called me and stated that the technician reported "misuse and abuse" of the disposal. He reported "there's a refrigerator worth of food in the disposal". Well of course there is...it's freaking clogged and a weeks worth of food is coming back up! That's why we called you! If it was working correctly, I wouldn't need you. The tech never came back in the house to explain anything to us. I'm assuming AHS told him how mad we were and he just drove away. Terrible customer service. Terrible experience with this company and AHS. Will not use or recommend them to anyone.

SO very bad! Had three different issues with them, initially there was just one! Every time they left there was a new problem. Had to talk to them over an hour and they still charged me for three visits. RUN! They could care less about the customer! The TECH used horrific obscenities!
USE someone else!

I had a bathtub backing up at my apartment last week, and I got this company recommended by a friend. The plumber that came out was really helpful, we had a bit of a language barrier but he was really fast and efficient. He was in and out in no time! He managed to clear the drain line and haven't had any problems since then! Thank you guys at Kintex! You are all true life savers! I will definitely be recommending this to company to my family and friends!

I had a problem with the wand kit of Moen Pull Down faucet in our kitchen. Plastic part (strain) that regulates the flow at the bottom of sprout got disintegrated/broken into pieces due to corrosion and fell into sink hole. This left me with no strain/regulator on the sprout. Not surprisingly when I turn the faucet on, water just rushes out and makes it difficult to use it. So I decided to use my home warranty and Kintex Plumbing was assigned to my house for this work order by American Home Shield.
The tech from Kintex came in and without even trying to understand the problem, he prepared and submitted a "part missing" report. I tried to explain him that the part is there but due to corrosion, middle of it got broken and fell into the sink hole. He was not a professional guy trying to diagnose the problem but he was in hurry to leave the house and get my $75 check.
I got a phone call from American Home Shield after he left and AHS told me that my claim was denied due to "missing part" based on this technician's report. AHS also told me that, $75 that I paid towards my deductible was used towards Kinetex trip (easiest money that Kinetex can make by ripping out people like that - at least that's how it felt) and I should forget about it. AHS also mentioned that Kinetex could replace my faucet if I pay $275.
Guess what I told him?

Never use this company. The serviceman they sent out was rude and arrogant. He acted like he did not want to do the job. Going with another company.

I'm an AHS customer and Kintex was dispatched to complete a shower faucet leak and to replace the garbage disposal. They were quick to respond and get the job done (Sidenote - plumber showed up in an unmarked van with no windows and no company uniform. He was dressed in plain clothes - seemed kinda weird, but okay) However, when replacing the garbage disposal, the plumber had to remove undercabinet contents (just a few things) to do the work. After the new garbage disposal was installed, he left the undercabinet contents out on the floor along with the old garbage disposal. I thought for sure he would put what he removed, back into the cabinet, but no!

Once he collected the deductible fee, he looked as though he was leaving. I needed to check that his repairs worked before he left. While I was doing that, I asked him to put the undercabinet contents back into the cabinet. He seemed confused, but I thought he would oblige.

Once I returned to the kitchen area to check, he was already leaving out the front door. When I mentioned that he left all the contents out on the floor, his response was, "It's not my job, my job is to replace.", and he walked out the door. Ummm...okay? Professional? Everything was great, until the end - I don't know what happened to trigger that sort of unprofessionalism. Maybe he was insulted that I needed to check and make sure everything was working properly before he left - who knows? Nonetheless, completely unprofessional!

I don't know which is worse, Kintex or AHS. When Kintex came to my house to look at my water heater that said that it was damage secondary to rainwater! All they told us was that it needed to be replaced and they did not tell my husband or me why. They said AHS would contact us. Really! I almost called the bank to stop payment on the check at I had to give them for NOTHING!I had a second opinion and the rainwater cause was a total LIE. In addition we had asked if they would have a water heater on the truck when we scheduled the appointment and if they could fix it that day. We were told yes. We already knew we needed to replace the water heater. Needless to say, a week later we still don't have a new water heater. Now we have to wait on AHS to put the numbers together. Needless to say, we do not recommend Kintex or AHS.
