My hotwater heater went out and my home service insurer, American Home Shield, contacted Kintex to provide the service needed. The worker came out and advised I needed a new hot water heater. He had to go get one and the one he got barely fit in the space occupied by the previous hot water heater. He said he'd have to charge me extra for having to make adjustments for the new sized heater. He pulled the piping going up into the attic up about 1-2 inches. Then he proceeded to create a pvc piping system (not sure of its purpose but the old heater had a metal pipe that went through the sheetrock) and ran it down to the garage floor and extended out over the ledge into the flooring area where verhicle parks. It looks tacky and I worry about tripping over it every time I go into my garage. For this, they charged me an extra $550.00. I am stupid for ever having paid that much but at the time I was in a wheelchair and on pain pills due to a vehicle accident. And I am in my 70's. I feel this company took advantage of me. I would give them a minus 10 rating if that were possible. If you ever have dealings with them, I would suggest questioning every single item they suggested.

If I could put no stars I would. I had the worst experience with these plumbers that came out from this company. They were subcontracted from an insurance that I have. The first day they came out the plumber lied to me and said that he had to go buy a part would return to fix my toilet. and he never came back, when I called the office, they said that he had gone out and had to go order the part yet he never had the decency to call me and tell me that he was no longer going to show up that day. The next thing was that they came back to fix my original problem, which was stoppage and flooding in my master bathroom , when they came back to fix the toilet issue, they literally broke off a piece of my toilet, and they still wanted me to pay for a new toilet when they had broken it. Yes, my toilet supposedly was messed up but it was not broken when they came in to fix it , as of now, I still haven't had any resolve with them and this has been months ago. I feel like I do not need to pay for the toilet, especially because they broke a piece off. They say
that I need to pay for a new toilet, because my toilet was messed up prior to them breaking it.

After the freeze, the water pressure became very low. The same problem occurred during the blizzard in Houston. I contacted my home warranty company, Cinch. Cinch assigned the job to Kintex Plumbing Company. Once the technician arrived and assessed the problem, it was determined that the home warranty company would not cover the issue. I explained to the technician that the last time I had the problem with the water pressure, the plumber who came out cleaned the debris from the pipes and the water pressure was restored. The Kintex technician didn't listen but told me that my faucets would have to be replaced and he could not guarantee that would fix the problem. I declined what he proposed.
I called another plumbing company the technician cleared the pipes and did not tell me that my faucets needed to be replaced. I was quoted outrageous prices to replace faucets. Either the Kintex technician just did not know what was right or was trying to take advantage of me as a woman.

Crooks and liars! Did not complete service and left me hanging for 3 weeks with no bathroom plumbing. Did not replace toilet correctly so now it is wobbly. Never use this company again!

Update: yes I am a tenant and customer is landlord. Doesn't change the service you did not provide.

Kintex Plumbing was assigned to fix my garbage disposal. The original appointment was set for Saturday, October 8, 2022 between 7AM to 12PM. However, I received a phone call saying that they could come Wednesday, October 5, 2022 between 8AM and 12PM. I was told that I would receive a phone call approximately 30 minutes before the technician's arrival.
At 12PM on Wednesday, I had not heard from anyone so I called the company to figure out what was going on. When I told them my concern about the technician not showing up during the window AND not updating me if there was a delay, the lady tells me that my window was from 9AM to 1PM. There is NO way that I got the window confused because I wrote it down and saved it in my calendar. I was told from 8AM to 12PM and I reinforced this with the lady.
Her response was, "So are you not going to be home?" She was completely ignoring the point that I was trying to make so I reiterated my concern. She tells me that she can try to call the technician for an estimate on the time, but that he "probably won't answer since he's in the field." I tell her to call him.
After a brief hold, she gets back on and tells me that the technician isn't available and that there are three more service appointments ahead of mine so that she would be unable to give me an estimate of the technician's arrival time.
I once again repeat that the expectation was that the technician would arrive between 8AM and 12PM. She then states, "So would you like to reschedule?" I inform her that I cannot take another day off from work so she offers me a Saturday appointment.
Needless to say, I requested to be reassigned to another company because their professionalism was nonexistence and they had no remorse for inconveniencing me.

* This review is NOT about the technician who came to my home. He was very nice and cordial. I believe that he probably could have fixed the problem if Kintex's business model was not sub-par.
Our 3rd floor sinks were clogged and, after trying to snake both sinks, Kintex determined that they were not able to get the snake down the correct pipe. In order to locate the correct pipe they said that the 12 foot mirror would need to be removed, but that they would not remove it. They insisted that I hire a 3rd party to remove the mirror. I later found that there was already an access point under the cabinetry with a temporary covering that exposed the main drain pipe. When I reported this to Kintex they told me that the access point was not large enough and I would need to hire someone to make the hole larger before they would do the work.
In summary, if Kintex determines that your plumbing issue is behind a wall, they will not perform the work unless you cut into the wall for them. Additionally, they will not help you locate someone to cut into the wall. This not only increases the amount of time it will take to get your issue resolved, but, if there is a leak, more damage will occur to your home while you attempt to find a general contractor to cut into your wall then go through the scheduling process to get Kintex to perform the plumbing work.
I eventually found a plumber who took care of the entire project. The plumber that I hired found it ridiculous that Kintex would force the customer to hire a third party to do work that they themselves should be able to do.
Due to the several days that I was in back-and-forth communications with Kintex, water was leaking into my second floor which, in the end, will cost me way more money than it would have to merely unclogg the drain and fix the leak.

The worst! They do warranty work through Sears Home Warranty. This company was assigned to me after I paid my $100 deducatable with Sears for a leak from the upstairs bathroom coming through the ceiling. The technician said the opening allowed by the warranty company was 12"x2" and this would not allow him to see the problem. He said he could cut a larger hole and pay for it or he could do nothing and I would be out my $100 deducable. I agreed to allow him to cut a hole larger that was approximatley 12"x12". He could then do nothing as the leak was due to previous owner installation. The company then sent me a bill for $100 for the hole. I asked how they arrived at the amount and multiple times to be provided a schedule of fees. They have absolutely harrassed me (texts, phone calls and emails) to pay $100 and have yet to send me their fee schedule or explain how they arrived at $100 for the larger hole they had to cut.
No wonder they only do warranty work. No one else will pay them for their services.

I've been wanting to write this review since February. If I could assign one star, I would. The plumber (owner?) who came out was very rude in my own home. He kept arguing with me that we had turned off our water heater. Why would we do that in February during one of our coldest spells? Then, he accused us of turning off our water supply. I repeatedly told him that was impossible because there were three people at home using the water (morning rituals) all morning. Then, he remembered he did it since we were not getting hot water anyway. He was very, very rude! Raising his voice in my home! But, he changed his tune when my husband came home from work. Okay, I get it, so NOW we're civil to the homeowner.
Anyway, apparently, the way home warranties work is you're paying the deductible to have someone come out to your home to WRITE A REPORT, NOT to repair the problem. The plumber originally told me it would be one week until they could get a part and receive approval. The audacity! ONE WEEK without hot water in February! Then, he stated the reason we are not getting hot water is that there is no gas trap installed. The office called back the following Monday to say
(1) the part was ready,
(2) home warranty approved the claim (I'm supposed to beam for joy at this? I expect them to approve since that's why I've paid them monthly for 2 years!), and
(3) that there would be an additional $125 fee to install a gas trap.
I let them know I had put in a dispute for the deductible and canceled my home warranty and had already paid another plumber $99 to relight my water heater the same day Kintex plumber told me he couldn't relight it. And, this new plumber told me that while the gas trap is a code requirement, it would not have caused my heater to go out.
Kintex, please do better. Your service is embarrassing . . . if I had all these bad reviews, I would start looking inward. I wish you the best.

Update 2/25/2022
In response to Kentex plumbing on my review:
1) The original call was NOT for the water heater. The plumber was called out to evaluate plumbing to kitchen sink and dishwasher...he decided to hyperfocus on the water heater. And as explained in original review, the entire 3000+ sq ft of my house is receiving very hot water so water heaters is not the problem. The guy was ADAMANT that I have another water heater in the house to be providing water to the bathrooms on the other side of the 3000+ sq foot house. He refused to believe me when I told him there wasn't one and followed me room to room and closet to closet and even into the attic to see for himself! To his bluff, my water heater is in fact working so well that it's doing the job of TWO of its kind!
2) I immediately called your office to discuss the issue when your technician left my home and was told that I would receive a call back from the manager to discuss. That has not happened to date. That phone call was made and your company did in fact have the opportunity to address the issue BEFORE this review was posted.
3) It is not ok for any technician to become "exasperated" with me IN MY HOME because I was asking for an explanation. Isnt that his job?? Perhaps he was frustrated because I was calling him out on his BS?
3)To date my insurance company has reached out to this vendor for follow up 2 times and they are not responding.
