Sam remodeled my moms condo a few years back. His work is amazing. He pays so much attention to detail. We still get asked if we recently remodeled as the work is still so relevant!
We are now in the process of having Keystone build us our custom home. So far everything is on point!

I meet Sam, owner of Keystone Design-Build, in February 2015 when I was looking for a contractor to remodel my bathroom and kitchen in my new condo. Sam was recommended to me by my long time natural stone polisher/cleaner. I was told that Sam did excellent work as he had witnessed many of Keystone's projects after completion. I had an idea on the stained glass tile I wanted for my backsplash and tub surround. Sam told me he knew the exact tile and we setup an appointment to review all the work to be done. Sam was on time and we discussed the various projects. Sam is an excellent designer and not just a contractor. Sam located a tile store that had a display of my specific tile, previewed it himself first, and then met me there to help me make decisions on my tile and quartz choices. He helped me make the appropriate choices and I was very appreciative for the extra time he spent with me. He also met me at Pacific Sales and assisted me to make kitchen and bath fixture choices, as well as select appliances and other various items needed for the project. It was very overwhelming to have to make so many choices at once, but he made suggestions that made it easy for me to choose. I was able to get an extra discount over the public by ordering through Sam. After getting Sam's very fair estimate, I signed the contract and Sam started the work. His subs were very good and always left my home clean, even if they had to make the same mess the next day. The tile I choose was not the easiest to install and I doubt many tile installers would have done a good job. But my tub surround and kitchen backsplash are simply beautiful. I am thrilled with how everything came out and believe I could not have found a better contractor. Subsequently, I have hired Sam to do several other projects (wrought iron stair rails, carpet, and cabinetry) and am so happy with everything Sam has completed for me. If you are interested in hiring a contractor, I highly recommend Sam and Keystone.

One of my neighbors recently told me that he had recently hired a contractor to do some similar work in his new condo. He choose the contractor that had the lowest price. He told me that the work was being done very shoddy and that when he started complaining to his contractor, the contractor simply disappeared, never returned any calls, left the job half done and he was out all of the his money. So I guess what I'm saying is you get what you pay for. Sam is the real deal; professional, knowledgeable and 100% stands behind his work. If you ask Sam to show you pictures of my completed projects, you can see for yourself, perfection! And I'm a very picky person!!

ZERO RATING! Met with owner SAM. Initial meeting was positive. However, this guy never followed up on this big project we were going to do. I had to contact him a couple of times to follow up and then he never returned my calls. He knew the project was large scale. Instead of providing estimates, photos and initial suggestions, Sam said to check HOUZZ and ""tell me what you like"". Aren't you supposed to be selling me your services and providing insights? You just lost out on a $250K project (indoor/outdoor). POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE, NO FOLLOW UP! YOU MEASURED THE WRONG CLIENT. This job may be too big for you! LOOK ELSEWHERE PEOPLE. Sam will tell you want you want to hear but watch out for the rest...

Extremely talented, very professional and completely trust worthy.

Considering our ideas, budget and timeline, I honestly didn't think it would be possible to pull off the project. Sam made it happen on time, within budget and even exceeded our expectations for the quality of the work that was done. He came back over after the work was completed, to replace a baseboard that had taken on some water from the dishwasher. Though the problem had nothing to do with anything that he had done, he actually fixed it for us without charge- above and beyond! One of the more enjoyable parts of working with Sam was being able to collaborate with him creatively. He worked hard to help us fulfill our vision, and had no shortage of quality input and ideas to best direct the project. All of this being said, it was the relationship we formed with Sam that will have us coming back to him for future work. He is kind, polite, compassionate and great with kids. I don't mean to go overboard, but it's been a while since I've had this pleasant of an experience working with someone.

One word, awesome!

I had a leak in one of the bathroom and needed to redo the floor and paint. Sam showed up, gave a reasonable estimate. More important, he had great design ideas, all were very elegant and relevant to my needs and budget.
His crew showed up on time, clean and well groomed and did an amazing job. Tiles are precisely laid with no gaps. The bathroom looks great. Work was done on time, no hassle, no fuss, no interruption.
Final price was the price we agreed on, no surprises.
I strongly recommend Keystone and very likely to use them again when I start remodeling the house.
