In 1967, Richard Keyes made a pivotal decision to start Keyes & Sons Plumbing. He and his wife had seven children at home. At the age of 35, he began this venture.

Our early inventory was kept in the basement, with a rented garage for larger supplies. In 1971, he moved the operation from our home to a facility on Main Street in Neenah. We remained there until 1999, when we moved to our current 15,000 sq. ft. facility at 1066 American Dr.

In the early days, Dad had three employees: Bill for service work, Jim for industrial and sewer tasks, and John as the apprentice.

Our father passed away in 1990, and my brother Bob followed in 1992.

Management was thrust upon Glenn and Susan, as Bob had been the one to handle it. We were in the midst of our largest contract ever, worth one million dollars! To finish the project, we needed to hire external assistance, which made us realize we preferred to remain a smaller plumbing business.

Since July 1989, Glenn has held the title of Master Plumber. His licenses cover all plumbing fields, from hot water and steam boilers to water softeners and plumbing design.

Glenn, a lifelong Neenah resident, has two adult children and three grandsons.

Glenn enjoys creating, woodworking, and carpentry.

His favorite completed project is the Playing in the Rain sculpture located in Neenah's Riverside Park.
