This service is the worst. I found them online and called them because my furnace wasn't working and there was no heat in the house. I was told there would be an $85 service call fee. Two men came and took my furnace apart. They wanted $375 for their ""labor"" and said it needed an electrode and the job would cost $1,400. I thought the service fee should include diagnosing the problem and giving me an estimate. There were no parts and his ""labor"" in taking off the furnace doors took under 30 minutes. So what was the service fee was for? I didn't trust them and when I called Kew Gardens Plumbing, a woman receptionist screamed at me. These men left without reassembling the metal doors of my furnace. They left it in a heap on the floor like junk.
The next day, I called Home Serve. It turns out my furnace was not broken, the problem was just a blown fuse. The technician replaced the fuse and the furnace is working. He was polite and he just charged the service fee. I had heat in the house in minutes.
DO NOT USE KEW GARDENS PLUMBING! THEY SUBCONTRACT TO PEOPLE WHO ARE EXTREMELY UNRELIABLE AND DON'T GIVE A DAMN ABOUT CUSTOMERS.

Our toilet valve was leaking and someone in our Coop recommended Kew Gardens Plumbing to fix the problem. They did so rather quickly (20 minutes) but we felt we were overcharged for the work that was done. I tried talking to the service manager to reduce the price, but no such luck.
