Kessler Plumbing & Heating
Company Overview
Kessler Plumbing & Heating Inc offers a range of plumbing and heating services for the greater Los Angeles area.
We take great pride in being one of the oldest plumbing companies in Los Angeles.
Initially established by a German immigrant, Kessler Plumbing has consistently been a family-operated company. The business has been passed down through generations. Otto Kessler, who represents the third generation, transferred ownership to Jeff Davis in the early 1980s. Mr. Kessler did not have anyone to take over. Jeff Davis brought in several new accounts that continue to trust us. We have served clients such as Jons Market, Vons, Ralphs, Food 4 Less, and many happy homeowners.
In 2008, a German immigrant acquired the company. Timo Spoerl, a well-regarded ""Master Plumber"" from Germany, became the new owner. He is licensed in California with B (General), C4 (Boiler), C20 (HVAC), and C36 (Plumbing). Alongside standard service and repairs in all areas of plumbing and heating, he can provide guidance on intricate hydronic heating issues.
Hailing from Southern Germany, Timo became a journeyman plumber in 1993 after completing four years of training. In 1997, he became a Master Plumber and Heating specialist in Germany after four years as a journeyman. In 2005, he obtained his California plumbing contractor license. Timo is also licensed as a contractor in B (General), C4 (Boiler, Thermal Solar Heat), and C20 (HVAC - Forced Air).
Just give him a call; he is more than happy to assist you.

Recommended Customer Reviews

I used kessler twice and both times they came out quick and their work was excellent!

Nightmare customer service-
Had Used Kessler to replace a 2k hot water heater- ignored their bad reviews Bc things seemed fine the first time around..
Booked a different appt days in advance @2pm- no call no show. I call @245- everyone was clueless and I had to wait for a callback. They informed me I would have to pay overtime to get the service completed today, I said they should cover their overtime fees and make sure the job was completed today. Somehow they were trying to hold me responsible for their mistake.
The lady hung up on me. Nice work Kessler. Real nice.

Never ever use this place. Had an appointment booked. No one showed up. No one bothered to call me. When I called them they had the nerve to try to charge me overtime for the missed appointment. They don't care about their customers.

They charge a minimum of 1.5 hour per call. If you want them to come on a weekend, they charge extra for overtime. Still, we were desperate to get our plumbing problem fixed, so we set up an appointment and my wife took time off from work to wait for them. But nobody came and nobody called to say they need to reschedule. Only when we called them to find out why they are late, did they tell us that nobody can come because they are busy at another job location. Obviously we are not ever calling them again.

I contacted Kessler for a bathroom remodel. I sent several emails before someone came out. The owner finally contacted me for the estimate. He came over December 1st. I had used them 2x before and they had no record of me. At any rate, they never sent an estimate despite me contacting them . I guess they are too busy and have bigger fish to fry. I will not be contacting them ever again. If you want to be overcharged and deal with an owner that's too busy to contact you then this is the plumber for you!!!

They came out three times and couldn't figure out what the problem was with my salon's hot water unit. On the fourth visit they figured it out and on the fifth visit it was installed by two men who charged their own hours and more hours than worked. Mind you they charge just to come out. Three times out with no avail in the sum of $791.25...this was not including the actual fix from the 4th and fifth visit...ended up buying an entirely new unit and paying the sum of $3,000 for the final end...this including 1.5 for two guys one who worked about 30 minutes and left and the other who worked about 2 hours. I contacted the business and felt yes, I should pay for you to come out, of course! But not if you can't figure it out for 4 visits at 1.5 =$1000 before the problem is even resolved...not fixed...resolved. It's a hot water heater. Not that crazy. These people will scam you and overcharge. Avoid! I am a small business owner and this is not how we treat our clients. I had hoped to have a longer business relationship with Kessler.

Best service fast reliable.
If you have a plumbing issue just call them and relax it will be taken care of.
Prices are good all issues were fixed and they were very respectful and helpful. All my questions were answered.
Thanks
kessler

OMG. Run. Run Run away as fast as you can. They were (key word WERE) TERRIFIC in 2012, they are the worst EVER now in 2015. They are complete scammers and charge for work they didn't do. FULL DISCLAIMER: They charge 1.5 hours just to come out and take a look. They charge $95 an hour AND send amateur plumbers. NONE of this ever happened before... and I'm proof of this since I've used them as my go-to plumber since 2012. I'm so appalled by their business ethics. I have had plumbing issues lately (yeah, when it rains, it pours), and they must have looked at me as their cash register for the month. Please find another plumber, and if you like the one you find, let me know.... I'm still looking. For now, thank goodness for You Tube Video ""how to's"". Oh, Kessler Plumbing... what happened to you!!??

Saw the ""Free Estimate"" ad on their site, and filled in the form to check my shower in my LA Rental house. Service guy comes out, turns on the water, looks in the hole we cut in the drywall to access the pipes and gives us a $4,000+ estimate. Way more than I can afford. So then I get a bill for over $100 for a ""Work Order"". When I call and say all I wanted and got was an estimate, no work was done, the very, very snotty and aggressive female on the phone demanded I pay it or they will put a lien on my house! Trying to sell the house to buy another and cannot afford either a lien or ding on my credit, so paid under protest, which means I cannot even get it back in small claims court. RIP-OFF!
If you want an honest, competent plumber, keep on looking because these scam artists are not it!

These guys are scammers. We asked them if they offered free estimates and they told us they did. A guy came out, gave us an estimate and wrote zero dollars owed on the receipt. 3 months later, they call us demanding 200 dollars and threatened to send us to collections and put a lien on our house. Don't be a bait and switch victim like us. Stay away from these criminals.
