I have not ever done a yelp review. However, I am compelled to do so after my experience with Tony from Kenz Plumbing (Which is also affiliated with Thousand Oaks Plumbing). There is not a bit of integrity or honesty with them. I called them out because the pilot light went out on the hot water heater and we couldn't get back on. He said we could try to replace the part for about $500.00 or replace the tank for $1,975.00. This is way over priced and there was no need for this amount of work to be done for just a damaged burner box!!!! I was able to get a second opinion from Mark Melton and Clinton on DONLON PLUMBING (805-985-8885) and was able to get my problem resolved within minutes at an unbelievable price. There are no problems with it now and works perfectly fine! Please note I paid Kenz plumbing their $79.00 Service Fee. KENZ Plumbing will try an overcharge you and push you to over spend when it is just not necessary to do so. It is a shame there are folks and businesses out there that are going to try and take advantage of you. DO NOT CALL THEM AS IT IS NOT WORTH YOUR TIME. I wish I looked at YELP before it did as I see Megan F on 08/07/2019 experienced the same problem I did! I do not know her at all....That is two people within the same month who feel compelled to review this company. Take your business elsewhere...

Paid the $80 to have a plumber check out our water heater (the pilot light went out and we couldn't get back on). The tech was rude, banging his tools around, overall looked annoyed at the job. Didn't really talk until he told me I needed a new tank, at that point his entire demeanor changed and was sweet as can be, talking about how they take care of families because they're a family business. Told me not to bother with a second opinion because he was right. Well, fast forward to a second opinion that diagnosed the burner box as the problem. Turned out it was covered under a product recall. My replacement and the plumber install were covered under the recall. Sorry but you will not be stealing $2200 from me, Sir. I deserve my $80 back.

After called several company, decide Kenz pluming, because the inspection guy gave expertise advise and compatible price.
Next day Milo and Eric arrived ON TIME! Finished the job with 2 hour including clean up afterwards. Deeply impressed.
Definitely will only can Kenz Plumbing now on.

I called kenz because ken left a good impression when he gave a quote a couple years ago. I called again recently, they quoted $145 for clearing both a sink and tub clog on same drain in bathroom. I provided additional details of my plumbing to be sure price would cover problem. Plumber arrives and clears tub in 20-25 minutes, then calls and says $75 more is required for 2nd drain. He didn't care what was promised over phone. For 1hr and 15min work cost was 225$. Invoice shows that kenz has been sold to thousand oaks plumbing. Every plumber lies and jacks price after they show up like this, wish tradesman had more integrity.

ON TIME and ON BUDGET!

Kenz Plumbing had professional customer service from my initial call speaking to Monique, getting a prompt appointment call from Tanya, and a next day 15-min confirmation call that TonyC was on the way put me at ease before any work was performed.

KP quoted the cost of work on the phone, re-quoted the cost of service on site, and delivered on the same pricing at the end. No surprises, courteous service, extremely care of house property, and thoughtful cleaning after work was performed.

I was prepared for up-sale of video camera or leak detection services - pleasantly surprised it wasn't even brought up. TonyC arrived on-time clean & uniform, diagnosed the issue and performed excellent work, and made sure the area was safe and clean when he finished.

Kenz Plumbing earned my business and future referrals. They'll get my call when I need a plumber.

Task: Backed-up kitchen and 2-bath sink drains
Fault: ABS drainage pipe grease & debris build up
Fix: 10-15 ft rooter snake, exterior house access
Duration: 60 minutes

As for follow-up it was recommended to have hi-pressure drainage (ABS) pipe wash, house to street every 5-years which they offer and I'll have performed soon. Slow build-up of grease that catches debris and causes blockage is inevitable. We're fortunate to have avoided a blockage for 25-years.

Big props to TonyC of Kenz Plumbing for his patience/time explaining his work before, during, and afterwards. Happy customer!

Had a issue with a blockage under the slab. Called Kenz plumbing for help. Brien managing the office sized up the situation sending out a team Milo and Genaro. As it turmed out a jack hanmer was required to reach the problem. All work and clean up was done in a proffesional manner in a time line promised. I can't say enough of both Milo and Genaro in finding a solution and the performance of thier work.The follow up by Brien from the office was very much appreciated in keeping me informed. I called Kenz Plumbing to ask for an estimate to convert my 50 gallon water heater to a tankless water heater system. The receptionist was attentive and gathered the background information on my current water heater. An appointment was made for just a couple of days later (I was surprised at how quickly Kenz was willing to come out for a simple estimate). Ken came out to discuss our needs and size up the project. Within 2 days the estimate was in my email in box. From the front office to the estimate everyone was quick, courteous and efficient.
