I like Kents because they are local and hire folks that are from here. The owner takes pride in being a part of the community and has a stellar reputation in the industry. I use Kents for plumbing and mechanical because they have always done what they said they would do. And that's hard to find these days.

As a contractor I've had excellent experience with Kents. Unfortunately some of the reviews are describing situations that the plumbing company had no control over but we're being blamed. I know from years of experience that they will back their work for sure. But if we're being blamed for things that we didn't do right off the bat it's probably not gonna get you the results that you want out of anybody. Definitely call the office to schedule to have work done.

Don't use these creeps. They caused $8,000 of water damage when their technician didn't clean an A/C drain line during a semiannual inspection I paid them $465 for. They acknowledged their negligence and said they would make good on it but I haven't heard a word from them since.
Stay away!

I moved into a brand new home, within a week all of my toilets would not flush and When the shower water was started the toilets would bubble. I called the warranty line that the builder gave and it was this company. Spoke to a lady named Lisa and she sent someone out. The plumber then ran a snake in my toilets and scratched them up very bad and stained them.
I called to advise and no one cared at the plum king company. Within a week of their 1st visit the same exact thing happened again. This time when I Called and was adamant about this issue being fixed and solved as I had only lives in the home 2 1-2 weeks at this point.
Lisa stated, "" I don't know why you are personally attacking me."" she also stated that there was paper found in the line, and if paper was found again I would have to pay for their services; then hung up in my face. I had to call the building super to get her to send someone else out who used a longer snake in my front yard and stated someone with a camera would come and Look as he saw toilet tissue aka ""paper"" and building debris.
Long story short the person came without even knocking or advising he was in my yard and when the office was called again Lisa and her ""supervisor"" Amanda answered and would not allow me to talk. I have been in the home 40 days now and was told feminine products were in the lines. I don't even have a cycle!
This place is horrible and if it wasn't for my warranty with the builder I would never ever ever use them again. The ladies in the office lack customer service skills, follow-up and are uncouth to say the least.

I recently remodeled my home and needed a permit to get the gas turned on. A mutual friend introduced my Dad to JB a plumber for Kent's plumbing. Upon arrival JB informed me that the company charges 3 to 3.5 hrs for the gas test at $175/hr. I responded, ""Ok, if that's what the company charges then that's just what I'll have to pay."" After completing the inspection, he notified me that there were some leaks that needed to be repaired and that he could repair them at the rate of $175/hr. He climbed into the attic and in 2.5 hrs repaired 4 leaks that he identified and stated that it would be a charge of 3 additional hours added with the original 3.5 hrs. After the house passed the city's inspection, JB contacted me for payment. I asked him if I could pay with my debit card over the phone or whether I needed to pay in person. He responded that it would cost an extra 10% if I used my debit card. I responded that I was fine with paying the extra 10%. Then he responded that he didn't have it written up through the company, and that it would cost more if he went through the company. I responded that the only reason I agreed to the $175/hr was because he said that was what the company charges. He responded that the company would charge $225/hr. I realized then that he just really wanted me to pay him in cash. I told him I'd call him back, and I called the company and learned that they only charge $150/hr. This plumber was trying to be paid cash under the table while charging more than the company charges. After our conversation JB didn't contact me anymore. He contacted my Dad for payment because he knew I wasn't going to pay him in cash, and he also dropped the charges to $1000 which is $154/hr and more in line with what the company charges. My dad paid him partially in cash and partially with a personal check written out to JB with the company name written in the memo part, but requested that JB provide him with a receipt of service. JB began feeling nervous about what he was doing and finally involved the company. I am not aware of what JB told the company, but the company issued my Dad a receipt for the $1000 in case there were issues with the gas repairs. The company also notified my Dad that we could never use the company's services again. I found that both insulting and rather funny because after this type of customer service, we never intended to use the company again.
