Recommended Customer Reviews

After contacting several large companies who couldn't be bothered, we called Ken. He came out in the evening to deal with our emergency situation, even though he was probably ready to go home to his wife and a hot meal. He successfully resolved a highly complex plumbing issue in under two hours. I recommend his superlative services without reservation!

Awesome service every time. I've used Ken's for years on both rental property and my own home. Fair, fast and efficient! This born and raised LB local says call Ken's first and forget the other guys!

If I could give a score less than a 1 Star, I would.
Please DO NOT EVER use this plumbing company. This is the worst company I have ever worked with and their service both labor and customer service is despicable.
I was forced to use them because of my HOA and these are the reasons why they deserve the negative review.
1. Starting with scheduling: They rescheduled me 3 times without even telling me. They came out Friday, couldn't do what they were asked to do, so they told me they'd return Monday. Monday came and I had to call them to find out that they'd return Tuesday. But again, I called Tuesday to confirm and she said they would come out Wednesday. Get your scheduling straight!
2. Be careful! They charge $96/ hour. I have a Masters degree and I don't even make $96/hr. It is a crime.
3. They came out to snake out my kitchen sink after I told them we couldn't get it through by my contractor and they tried it anyway, so obviously it got stuck. They left their equipment over night and came back on Saturday just to pick it up. They then came back on Wednesday, did something in the garage and got it working. A week later I got a bill for close to $400 stating that they spent 4 hours fixing it. I don't know how they even confirmed that time. They never came in to check in or check out. That is a scam. They're charging for hours they they spent on ineffectively. Why am I being charged for their incompetence and spending time doing what we had already said didn't work. AND what kind of plumbing company would spend 4 hours on snaking a line? Are you kidding me? If I didn't have to use them because of the HOA, Mike Diamond Plumbing would have done it for $100!!
This place is despicable and I am ashamed that places like this even exist to rip off hard-working people.
Please don't use them if you want to not get ripped off and be treated with the worst customer service I have ever experienced.

Very inefficient! No one knows what the other person is doing. Thus, the customer gets to pay more. They don't accept responsibility for their mistakes.

Weird! I called to have a drain pipe repaired that had corroded because it was galvanized. The lady told me ""we don't do things like that."" Really??? Then what does a plumbing company do exactly??? Find someone else. These guys seem confused and certainly not interested in your business.

they wanted to charge me $600 for a repair that cost me $35 to do it myself. It took me less than an hour to fix. I believe in profit, but that's ridiculous!
They gave me an estimate for $600 to replace/rebuild a pilot valve on a wall furnace. I took out the part myself(15 minutes) and brought it to a local plumbing store. They sold me a pilot assembly for $35. Installed it(15 minutes), done, fixed. They also gave me an estimate for a new 25,000 btu wall furnace, $1650. I went to Home Depot, priced out a 35,000 btu furnace for less than $600. It might have taken me an hour to install. And I'm no handyman!
These guys are rip offs. I called them before writing this to see if there is any good explanation for this price gouging, and they never called me back to stand up for themselves.

I don't understand these reviews. They were on time. Addressed all concerns. Clean and neat. Friendly and polite. I'll call them every time. I can only imagine the people who were pleased didn't post.

Do not use them! They suck, they suck, they suck! They promised in the morning to show up by 1-3pm, they called at 3:30pm with a bogus excuse and they never showed up. This was an emergency and their word is trash! Don't use them! They suck, they suck, they suck!

Just a heads up...they never got to my place to fix anything. I had a leak coming from some pipes related to the heater from my ceiling. My HOA has us call them in case of emergency. The water was leaking really fast so I called them 10 mins to 8. When they called back the plumber who was ""on call"" was insistent that if he heads over at that very minute then the first hour is $150 then $80 after. I asked if that was really necessary because by the time he got there it will be 8 and that's when he would normally start. He reinforced it will be $150 the first hour none the less. OK, that was a hill I did not want to die on.
Next, I start getting a lectured abut what is and is not my responsibility when it comes to plumbing problems of the HOA. Again, I stated I will worry about it later as I am pretty sure it's the pipes from the heater (my responsibility) in the ceiling as this can be a common problem but that I won't know if it's the HOA's or my responsbility until he can have a look at it. By this point it was almost 8 so I said I would call back after 8 to the regular line and make an appointment with them. Instead, I called a company over in Anaheim known as Debinaire, who actually helped replace a lot of parts to the heater not related to the pipes before and who were very good and nice to deal with on the phone and in person prior.
So I don't know what kind of work they actually do but this experience goes to show that people skills and being fair/reasonable can help make or break if someone uses you for business even in emergency situations.

I live in a condo and my neighbor stated there was a water leak from my bathroom into his bathroom and the HOA said it was out responsibility. Kens was recommended by my HOA since they apparently know our building and have been used before. Initially the receptionist was very rude and off putting, then the plumber came out and did nothing but run my shower for 15 mins and look in my neighbors bathroom but saw nothing. So they charged us $80 for inspection and said they see nothing and to start using the shower again. Well the first time I used the shower it leaked in my neighbors again. So we called kens again (mistake) and they came out again, this time two men. They ran my shower again but blocked the drain and yea my shower running caused a small drip into my neighbors shower. Why didn't they do that the first time? Then they told me they don't know where the leak is coming from and they wouldn't even give me an estimate or do further research because it wasn't worth it, they recommended tearing out the bathroom and redoing it. Ok thanks?? Then a month later they called me and said they sent me a bill but it was returned to sender because they don't have my address, well duh! I'm not the person who made the appointment, my neighbor was! And of course again, Rita the receptionist was a joy to talk to. Not!
