Ken Rammer established Ken's Plumbing in Edison during the beginning of the 1970s, laying the foundation for our success. During this period, Michael Casper grew up in Edison and developed his community-focused business in the middle of the 1980s. In 2008, he decided to reduce his workload and ultimately collaborated with Michael. There was admiration for each other's commitment. Michael continues to overseeing the business, with customer service as the main focus.

We decided to go with Ken's Plumbing for a shower faucet repair, since we had a great experience with them in the past, particularly with Mike. He and Barbara, in the office, have been very professional and helpful. However, we were serviced this time by Adam who came across as rude and condescending. He was no doubt very knowledgeable and competent in his plumbing skills, but the interaction was less than ideal. He quoted me a reasonable hourly labor cost for the work, and when I asked him how many hours it would take he just shrugged his shoulders and said he couldn't tell me, which I found to be ridiculous. I understand lots of things could go wrong, but I had to argue for him to give me an estimate of the time it would take (the actual repair took about 15 min BTW). Then, he wanted to charge me an extra hour for him to leave and pick up the part needed for the repair, which we ended up compromising on - I agreed to pay for 1/2 hour which I still wasn't happy about. Overall, the price I ended up paying was a lot lower than other quotes I received for the same work, which was the main reason I still used them, and the quality of the work was great. However, I would only use Ken's Plumbing again if someone other than Adam came to do the work, since having a positive interaction with the people coming to my house to do the work is very important to me.

I cannot say enough great things about Ken's Plumbing. We called them to diagnose an issue with our sewer line that a previous plumber could not resolve, and I'm so glad we did. Our first service call was with Paul, he was very thorough and took the time to explain what was going on with our sewer line. Our issue required further investigation, and shortly after his visit, Mike, Adam, and Rodney returned to camera our line and it was determined that our sewer line needed to be replaced. The estimate Mike provided was several thousand dollars less than another estimate we obtained. When they replaced the line, Mike, John, and Eddie worked through the day without stopping to get the job done. We were included in the whole project and Mike was excellent at keeping us informed. This company really cares about their customers and I will recommend them to everyone I know!!

We had a suspected broken sewer pipe under our foundation. Christine, in the office, made us a priority because I couldn't use my washer, dishwasher or kitchen sink. She fit me in same day for our estimate and we talked a few times over the next week. She was so pleasant and warm it helped with my choice of who to use! A friendly and knowledgeable office staff is icing on the cake. My insurance company wanted us to get 3 estimates and we chose Ken's because Paul came out and was honest, super friendly, and very knowledgeable. He detailed how they'd locate where the leak was, how they'd go about fixing it and reassured me that it wasn't as big of a hassle as I previously believed. Their estimate was almost half of that of the one other estimate we got! When they came to fix our pipe Christine called me in advance to let me know when they were leaving and when they'd get to my house. Paul and Dave quickly got to work and called me downstairs at every step of the way to show me what was wrong and where and how they'd solve the problem! That level of keeping a homeowner in the loop is why I will use them in the future. When they left to get supplies, they were back within an hour and apologized for being gone so long! It was barely an hour! Paul and Dave snaked my sewer line and put a camera in it to assure there were no issues further down the line that they weren't able to see while I watched. I fully appreciated them taking such great care of us! They also added an access to the pipe that wasn't previously there so in the future it'll be accessible much easier if it ever needs to be cleaned. They finished the job in one day! Their determination to get me a working kitchen again made the experience so much better! We were told by the other plumbers it would be a minimum of 2-3 days. There's not enough I can say about my experience with Ken's Plumbing. They are honest, hard working and go above and beyond for their customers. I highly recommend them! I will be using them again when we finally decide to redo our bathroom.

Ken's plumping was recommended to me for their amazing work. Contacted them during the weekend when my basement was flooding, and Adam arrived within 20 minutes. He was able to explain the problem, fix it and talk to me like a normal person about what he did and what I needed to do. Their price was extremely fair even during the weekend. No one wants plumbing issues but, if needed these are the guys I will call for a professional, courteous, and honest work.

I scheduled a day for them to come give me an estimate and they didn't make it. They came another day and told me that I would have an estimate for me the following day. After 2 weeks of calling to see where my estimate was they said that they decided they didn't want the job. I don't understand why no one would call me to tell me that instead they let me call every few days for weeks!

Ugh. Should have taken a cue from Dima S. Called on a Friday afternoon to schedule an appt for tues afternoon. Mentioned that we are looking to diagnose and collect estimates on what I expect to be a significant repair (sewer line). Nevertheless, no call no show. I actually chuckled while writing this since I would have actually given another star or two If I got a response back like ""no thanks, not interested"", I least I wouldn't have wasted a day and would have scheduled someone else to come out. I don't know what it is, but a lot of these ""trades"" just don't get it. This happens all to often and just must be part of the culture of disrespecting potential customers in this industry. Disappointing, considering one of the reasons I called them in the first place was the good overall review. I guess they do not need the job. At any rate, I wish them luck, they just won't be getting any business from me.

Very unprofessional. First they called to confirm an appointment for a wring time then never showed up. Had to waste over an hour from my work day...

The plumber that was supposed to show up was Eddie. Horrible service, they tried to offer $25 credit towards a job. We need a sewage pipe replaced which probably costs in the thousands.
