Kenny built a small wooden platform to support a furnace in a tight space, and finished it to match the existing flooring. I called several handymen and nobody felt comfortable doing this job. Kenny did great work, and was very precise in his measurements. I also liked that he gave a flat-rate quote instead of a rough estimate of the number of hours. Only downside is that his assistant was not very responsive when scheduling an estimate, but I would definitely hire Kenny again.

Kenny and his company are great. They're insured and yet pretty inexpensive --- but be sure to get an estimate in advance. In our unit they did a great job building some partitions we use to demarcate a sleeping area, demolishing an unnecessary wall, installing our flooring throughout the ground floor (1000sf), fixing a leak in our toilet which was causing problems for our downstairs neighbor, installing our range hood (we put in a ventless range hood), and installing soundproofing (using Green Glue and QuietRock). In every instance they did a very good, solid job at a reasonable price.

I have only a few minor issues with Kenny -- he tends to be too optimistic about how quickly he can get something done --- he often would say a job would take 2 days but it really took 3, etc. Also, one time we specifically asked him NOT to do something and he did it anyway, and wanted to bill us for it (a small amount) --- but I was firm that this was not in the scope of work we had agreed to, so we only paid him for the work we had agreed in advance. He accepted that, however, without arguing further, and despite these issues I would work with him again.

For these reasons it's important to get an estimate for labor and materials in advance, and clearly specify the scope of work in advance. With any construction project there can be unexpected problems, but Kenny (with the one exception above) would usually inform me in advance of any additional issues, and the extra labor and materials he charged always appeared to be fair (with the one exception I noted above).

Note: Kenny is a solid handyman/contractor but not an expert in things like soundproofing, though he has done some soundproofing projects including ours. I had to explain to him exactly what to do there based on my own research, and had to specify, for example, to use acoustic caulk, not Green Glue, to caulk the edges of the project, etc. If you need consultation on anything other than straightforward electrical or construction work, you should do that on your own. It also helps to give Kenny clear instructions and drawings to make sure he understands exactly what you want.

Despite these caveats Kenny does an excellent job for the price. Definitely very reasonable prices for the quality of work he does.

I am in a small condo building. Kenny and his crew did some work for us from another source and I asked him what other kinds of work he does. We have since used him for other small projects, they are prompt, clean up after themselves and take direction for small touch-up items with good grace. I work with Neysa for quotes and she is prompt and obliging when I need break-downs/details on invoices for payments.
We will be using them in future.

Kenny helped us remove a damaged shower door that broke over the weekend. Requested a quote on a Sunday, he got back to us same day and set up an appointment for the next day. Showed up right on time and had the work done in no time.

He and his partner were friendly, fast, and thorough. Can hardly tell the old door was ever there. He even took a few extra minutes to take measurements to give us an estimate on our next project. Great work, would definitely recommend.

We had some flooring, painting, wall cut out, fixing tiles etc...to be done, Kenny and his associate were prompt to show up, provide estimates and get the work done as promised. His office associate Neysa is awesome too, very prompt in following up with scheduling and communicating with us the plan.

Kenny is awesome. You just have to present him the list of things to do, and he gets to work with his efficient associate. Quality of work is excellent. He fixed a broken door, replaced locks, replaced the screen door, installed motion detector lights etc. His office was very responsive and they gave me an appointment almost immediately. I would use this service again.

Kenny and his team were a pleasure to work with. They were professional, generally on-time, and took great care to do the job right. We had 8 doors removed and replaced, 5 of them with larger 8 ft doors. We also had two bathroom vanities installed, and the entire apartment painted. The whole job took 7 days, which was a bit longer than expected, but then again the job turned out to be a bit more complicated than originally anticipated. At one point the job had to be stopped because I needed to order floor tiles to go under one of the vanities, and I was pleasantly surprised with how flexible Kenny was with rescheduling the remaining work. We agreed on a set price for the whole job upfront, and even after the usual scope creep, the final amount was within 20% of the original price. For ease of comparison, the price ended up being $100-120/hr for on average around 2.5 workers (including Kenny). Kenny and his whole team were motivated, efficient, and professional. Though Kenny is perfectly fluent in English, to communicate with the rest of his teammates it is helpful to know some basic Spanish. I wholeheartedly recommend Kenny and would definitely consider working with him and his team again in the future.
