Recommended Customer Reviews

After using Mr. Ewing several times - and he doing a great job putting in a new and good disposal - we called him to put in a hot water heater. We repeatedly asked him for overnight 24 hours to think about it after his initial consultation so we could compare hot water heaters on efficiency. He insisted I can only do it """"RIGHT NOW"""" he said repeatedly. So without asking us on his own he installs a water heater which he acknowledges he paid $400 for plus $100ish in parts and charged us $1100 or $600 for the install and told us what a great deal we were getting vs. """"Ben Franklin"""". The water heater he chose for us on his own without asking us was a non-Enerstar rated contractor unit from State $650+ of LP gas annually. In repeated calls Mr. Ewing has been rude, short, combative, and told me tonight - he does not care if he loses customers over this - that we are foolish customers who don't know what we are doing or talking about. We paid Crown Plumbing $270 to reinstall an Enerstar rated hot water heater with an energy use of $150 per year. Mr. Ewing first offered to take the water heater back for $400 last week, then offered $200 tonight and then simply said he no longer wished to do business with us. Goodbye. My sister is a recent widow whose husband passed last November and she has a special needs child. We are strong christians and needless to say this whole thing distresses us greatly. We simply called Mr. Ewing asking him to find a WIN-WIN to the situation and he let us down greatly. Your milage with him may vary and we wish no ill will or harm on anyone's business. We had other plumbing work we were ready for him to do and we would have used him for years to come. We feel he was simply looking to make a quick buck and we are left holding the bag of his low efficiency water heater and feeling very taken advantage of. All we asked him for was to find a WIN-WIN - he could not do it. He seems to be otherwise a good person.

Ken has done several jobs for us which have all been done to our complete satisfaction. He has redone some plumbing work that was done by someone else and it is so much better than it was before. He is kind, neat, clean (when he leaves you don't even know he was there). He is also reasonably priced. I will hire him for all my jobs.
