Ken mays is the man. Twice he has come through for me, after hours and bad weather. Honest, friendly, and helpful guys.

Ken Mays has competent staff, but the business lacks integrity and you cannot get a professional estimate to do the job. They charge top dollar and pad their bills without breaking down the work into a normal bill with labor and parts itemized. Given the amount they charge, they have the ability to do so, but can hide their practices behind a bulk charge with far exceeds reasonable costs. Watch your wallet when you deal with them.

We bought a Napa bungalow and Ken Mays corrected significant plumbing issues that have made our home great. They were very prompt, courteous & professional They were cost conscious and I highly recommend them for any plumbing repairs. They were great!

My experience with these guys was great, called and talked to Joe, they came over fixed a broken copper pipe due to freezing temp, every thing back to normal. Next day the same things happened in the same place, called them and they came right away and fixed it for me, Ryan was the name of the plumber, very friendly and experienced. Was a bit expensive but things like this rarely happen so it was acceptable. Thanks guys, will call again.

They installed a tankless water heater for top dollar. When I called to tell them the pipe was leaking, I was told ""It's just condensation"". Well, that ""condensation"" ended up being shoddy workmanship and damaging my floor as it was a huge leak. JOE is terrible to talk to. When I tried to say the volume of water was way beyond condensation, he snickered like I was an idiot. AND HE WAS IN THE WRONG. I will never use Ken Mays again. There is no reason to deal with a company that has such a ridiculous lack of respect for a customer.

The kitchen was broken and needed emergency service.
So when I saw 24/7 service in their ad I was happy. When I call, they did not even take reservation. Maybe it was a bad timing but it was during business hours. I heard customer service laughing ""you were too late!"". Call back Monday to make a reservation.
Update: The service person came in and fixed nicely. He was pleasant that increases my rating.

Customer service from Ken Mays Plumbing was outstanding. Our house drains (all of them) backed up. Van the plumber came and diagnosed a clogged main drain line, which was going to need two men, since our house has no cleanout access and must be accessed from the roof vent. Van refused to make us wait another day, and he and his co-worker Mike returned the same day, in the evening. The two guys physically worked their buns off to get our drain cleared, always with a friendly and professional demeanor. They charged a very reasonable flat rate, and did not charge any extra for the after-hours work. We wanted to hug and kiss them. Instead, we will just call Ken Mays for all our future plumbing needs.

If it weren't for Mays Plumbing (and especially David) I would have, literally, been up THAT creek without a shower! I was devastated to find out a year later that my late father's caregiver had put baby wipes down the toilet & let her 2 year old run wild & put a pencil down the shower drain, I had noticed an occasional slow down in the toilet but the worst came when the shower started doing it, too! The plug was SO bad that David broke a ""snake"" in the shower drain! Whatever else was in the plug will have to remain unknown! If it weren't for this company's understanding & genuine compassion for other human beings, I would still be without a shower! I highly recommend them & will always call them with my plumbing issues! Thank you!!!!

I called and asked for a service quote. Lady on the phone told me it was $114 an hour for labor. Two guys showed up at my house took one look and my shower and told me they could not fix it but would have to order parts. It would cost $$$$$. I said thank you and I would call them. They told me that would be $114. What? They didn't do anything. They said they couldn't fix the shower. They didn't even open it up, so they couldn't even be sure what was wrong. In other words, they were not hired yet! They said they understood my concern and would call the office. They called upline THREE different people. Got to the owner who said I had to pay up. NO WAY! They didn't DO ANYTHING. I didn't even get a legitimate service quote. I refused to sign paper. Owner JOE plumber called me and was horribly patronizing and rude. I thought he called to work things out, but he didn't even listen to my position, but interrupted me and told me that if I didn't pay up he would put a lien on my house and take me to court. I said, ""You would put a lien on my house for $114?"" He said, ""WE DO IT ALL THE TIME."" Yes he did. What kind of business is this?
I see the business plan. Come over and make sure you get in the house. Don't do anything, but promise to come back later. Charge $114 now AND next time you come for as many times as it takes. If customer doesn't want to pay, put a lien on their house. That will teach em!
