I called Ken Mayes Plumbing to fix my toilet. Plumber came and used a hand auger to clear plugged toilet. He was there for 15 minutes charged me $134 left and the toilet was not fixed. I called their office to let them know the toilet was still not working and they said it was flushing when our guy left. I told them it's not flushing very well still and requested a refund. They told me no refund. I had to call another plumber to fix it. He removed the toilet and there was an obstruction there. So I had to pay another $160 to another plumber who did the job right. Do not call this plumber, they will rip you off big time.

Ken May's helped us out with some shoddy plumbing done by the previous owners. We got a few other quotes, but decided to got with KM, because Ray our project manager spoke with the most authority on our unique problem relating to a bad sewer injection pump. During the entire job Ray was easy to communicate with and 'held my hand' every step of the way. I'm sure you can find cheaper prices, but the quality of KM is phenomenal. They went above and beyond to make sure my job was done right, so I would never have to see them again. Highly Recommend!

I purchased a water heater for our townhouse last year, plumber came on a saturday so I had to pay a premium. Total cost 1800.00. The townhose has been vacant for 3 months with no interruption of gas service. Today we realized the brand new heater is off so I called Mays to get it checked and relighted ,they told me it would cost an additional 160.00. After spending 1800.00, I think they could have come by and relit and checked it. Will never call these bandits again!!

I had a slow water leak in my system, Found this out when the slab floor area in front of the dishwasher was noticeably warm. I called several plumbers to look into this, and settled with Ken Mays Plumbing. I was very pleased with their response, quote and finally the work performed. I feared my hardwood floors and cement subfloor were going to be Jack hammered up, and I was in for a mess. They were able to find the water manifold in our walls, isolated the water pipe leak, and sleeve the original copper pipe with new materials. So no real mess, no tear out of floor, and we were taken care of.
We also upgraded other aspects of the house with new valves and a filtration service.
I will recommend Ken Mays to anyone who asks if I know a good plumber:)

Ken Mays is on solid ground if the pipes have burst. They came to work on a pipe at work that had deteriorated due to the August 2014 quake&age. It had been a longtime problem, but over the course of three days, they were able to tackle the culprit. Mays&his crew are very friendly and helpful. Even if the earth shakes, they put you on level ground.

Scott (plumber? apprentice?) installed shower faucets - cost me $134.00 for 30 minutes labor. I paid and the plumbers left. When I attempted to use the shower, the knobs were leaky and loose - not properly plumbed at all! I called to request a return visit to remedy the problem and got voicemail during regular business hours. Left a message - no call back. Called the next day during business hours - got voicemail, left a message, no call back. Then a third message with no call back!!! I was shocked that no one at this company reached out to me to try to resolve this problem.
I called a 4th time and finally talked to Mario (the Ken Mays plumber) who said that I needed new valves or cartridges or whatever in order for the faucets to work. I asked why his partner, Scott, would install faucets if they weren't going to work without these other parts and he turned the blame on me. It's MY fault the faucet handles weren't working! Really! So the result is that I'm out $134.00 and I have to pony up more money to get the job done right.
This is a business with no integrity. They do sloppy work which is not guaranteed.

Very Very disappointed with this company. I agree with other posts here that the company does not take responsibility for their work. They used a faulty apparatus in one of the toilet tanks that misfuncitoned after 3 uses. Not exactly a complicated project for a plumbing company. The substandard work they did overall was shocking. Joe, the company's owner, responded that ""toilets actually work better if use them more often."" This is my first post ever so you can see that we were so disappointed in this company's work that I actually took the time to write it!

Adam from Ken Mays Plumbing came out today to clear a clog at the washing machine. He showed up right on time, was extremely polite and clean. He took his time working throughly to clear the pipe and cleaned up all the mess before he left. Thank you and great job!

Rude service and incompetent. Recently had a gas leak at my house. The house is under warranty since I recently purchased it. The warranty company uses Ken Mays. The technicians came to my house and simply turned off the gas in the crawl space. PG&E would not turn on the gas until they fixed the problem so we waited for them to come back the next day. As we worked out on the phone what the warranty company would cover, the technician was rude with my wife and then ended up cutting the gas pipe and closing it off. We were charged $220 plus two service call charges from the warranty company.

In the first visit they needed to move my oven out from the wall to check the gas connection. For some reason these guys removed the oven door in the process. They could not replace the door so they left it on the kitchen floor with the oven still pulled out. They also, for some reason, cut the gas line to my pool heater even though it had nothing to do with the leak. Total cost for this episode was over $500 by the time I got others in here to fix the issues Ken Mays left behind.
