I will never recommend Ken Burns to my enemy. No One. Period. I never knew we had a front tank to our septic system. No wander we were calling this place every year and a half. I called Livingston and They showed me our front tank was never pumped out sense we lived here for Seven years. I have a good mind to call the BBB of Maryland on them. NEVER USE KEN BURNS EVER!!!!!!! A LIAR AND A CHEAT!!!!!!!!

We built our home in 1995. Every 2nd year we have our septic pumped out as recommended. This past spring we called for service, but requested they call us 15 minutes before they arrive , due to having an aggressive 200 lbs. Mastiff dog and a Pit bull. We only work less the 15 minutes away. A few weeks passed and we received a bill in the mail. My wife called and informed them no one has come to perform the service. They called back when the driver was back in. The receptionist swore they had serviced our septic. You could hear the driver in the back ground confirming the receptionist. 10 days latter on a Sunday, raw sewage began spilling from our 1st floor toilet. We immediately called a plumber, who came out. 1st thing he ask was , when was the last time the tank was pumped out? I told him less then 2 weeks ago. The plumber began digging in an area we had never dug before. Once he opened it, the tank was completely full, not letting anything come out of the house. The plumber stated in his opinion the tank had never been pumped out. I know for a fact , that tank was NEVER opened before this day. Ken Burns Sanitation showed up with a pump truck and pumped it out. A month passed by, and we get a call from Ken Burns billing, telling us we were passed due.
I wrote them a letter along with their payment, stating I assumed they would do the RIGHT thing. Right thing being not sending us a current bill, seeing we had paid them $300.00 a service, that they claimed they had done the past 7 times they rendered service. No apology No Nothing. We paid $200.to the emergency plumber , we spent the best part of the day cleaning raw sewage from our hard wood floors.
It should send up a ""Red Flag"" when a contractor or service provider refuses to call you before their arrival. They have to be hiding something, they don't want you there to see. I use to be a very trusting person. No longer

Called due to back up in shower. They drained septic tank, charged 280.00 problem remained. Came out again and jetted the lines, charged 180.00 the problem remained. Came back out and jetted again. The problem remained. had to hire a real plumber to fix the problem. Bad on you for charging for something you didn't fix.
