If you have an old house with old faucets, it's frequently difficult to find valves to replace your current ones. The big box and chain hardware stores don't carry them and most plumbing supply stores staff don't have the expertise or diligence to track them down in catalogs. Ken Brown & Sons found replacement valves for our 40+ year old faucets which saved us $100s. Consider starting your search with them.

Got what I needed with alot of attitude, and lack of customer service. The guys could care less I was standing there never greeted had to ask for help. Guess I won't try to support a local business like this and just go to a big box retailer at least there I know I can do self checkout and not have the attitude and disrespectful tone.

I like to support small business, no matter what the business sells. I hate when you go to a business like Ken Brown & Sons, Inc. to purchased something and do not take accept returns and does not give a refund. WOW! Also when you use a credit card of write a check to purchased a item this company calls this a cash sale. Please if you need a plumber part go to Big Box Retail Store that has a better return policy then this place. I went into that business to do business with them and they have a really bad customer service. They operate like they are hungry for a dollar instead helping the customer to keep you in business. Also this company charged $30 plus dollars for the item I purchased from them compared to $11.98 at other stores. WOW! That price is a very high mark up cost this company charged compared to other retail stores charge. Everyone that work there & the owners need take some type of customer service classes. This the only business besides the business is going out of business do not give refunds or accept returns. I will spend my money with a business that appreciate their customers and have a better return policy and accept refunds. Thank you for reading this comment.

I am currently building a house and have used Ken Brown and Sons frequently, The staff is very friendly and I can usually get in and out quickly. Their prices are competitive and the advice and help can't be beat.

They had what I needed for my DIY plumbing project but I felt uncomfortable with the lack of mask wearing although they have a sign requiring a mask. There was a lot of locker room banter that didn't end with my unfamiliar masked face but I could see how it could be offensive to another 1st time customer. Seemed to be a lot of regular customers that enjoyed sitting at the desk on their stools like being at their favorite bar. I'm trying to support local business but the lack of mask enforcement will take my business elsewhere.

I called them about a battery for a Zurn automatic faucet. Instead of selling me a very expensive replacement, the man on the phone told me how I could fix the battery myself by installing AA batteries within the existing battery casing...saved me a lot of money. I would call them again for future plumbing needs

This is where plumbers go to get parts. They sell quality and know what they're talking about. They've helped me out many times, with advice on the best way to get a project done.

Sure, the reviews by people who have used Ken Brown & Sons for years are good, but what if you are a new customer?

Today I went over to try to get some numbers on a large job that involves several apartment units. I stepped in, and all three of the guys at the counter seemed to be busy. Okay, so one was yucking it up with a few buddies, but maybe they were completing a sale, right? As I waited, a second person came in and formed a line behind me. The one counter person kept laughing it up, and another finished what he was working on and left the counter. Now, a third customer walks in and asks us if we are in line. We say ""yes,"" and he goes to the side where some items are hung on the wall to check them out while he waited. A couple of minutes later, he walks up to the counter to the only remaining guy who had appeared to be busy and starts talking to him. Then they start discussing an order. I asked, ""Are you really going to help this guy right now? He was third in line."" The reply was, ""This guy does $nnn of business with us each year. How much do you do?""

Apparently one must spend a lot of money to get these guys to give one the time of day, but if they will not take an order in the first place, how do they know how much was about to be spent? Clearly, these people do not care about their customers. I would advise anybody to steer clear of Ken Brown & Sons.

I am not a plumber, but find Ken Brown & Sons to be an excellent place to go for not only plumbing needs, but advice on how to do your project. While it may take a while to get a staff member to assist you (it can get pretty busy with real plumbers getting orders filled), I feel it is worth it. They have been invaluable for not only hard to find items for our old cast iron country sink, but advice on how to install everything. I have neither received bad advice, nor been sold anything I didn't need. I recommend this place to everyone, and know you'll feel much better about how to finish your project than if you had to guess what you needed at a big-box store.
