TOTALLY OVERPRICED! The 14.50 """"miscellaneous"""" fee is laughable in that in 2017 that same fee was 10.50. I was told by, I assume, Cory, that afterhours is 291.00. When the plumber arrived 45 minutes later, he told me it was a flate rate of 418.50. Toilet backed up, never flushed slowly to signify a totally full septic tank. It is over half full, but not to the point where it is causing issues. A root joint problem is what was causing the problem. The plumber stated that he could drop a camera down to take a look, not mentioning that it would cost me 98.00. Anyway, I called to see if the owner would adjust the pricing. I was told no. Even though he could, he wouldn't. I live 0.3 miles from the business in Archer, but was also charged 15.00 in fuel. I found a better plumber that will charge me 85.00 after hours. This is who I will use from now on. The reason why I couldn't use him was because he was 2 hours away. Thinking that I would support a local business, I called Kempton. Never again, I even mentioned this company to someone in Gainesville, that person started laughing stating that it's a huge mistake using them, as I found out. They say they go above and beyond to help their customers, which is total BS. The business is being run into the ground per many that I have spoken to. Do yourself a favor and stay far far away from this business as they are only care about how much money they can make for themselves.

We had a copper water line burst under the slab and went without water for weeks. GRU responded quickly and shut the water off. Then the process of finding a plumber. We got 2 bids for a total repipe. Kempton & Self was a little higher than the other but the way Cory ( the owner) explained the procedure, the warranty, the quality materials and that he'd work to get us water ASAP made the difference. He had a 4 man crew out here within 3 days! He was here on the site every day. The crew of Brad, Zac, & Devin were very courteous, professional, and were never bothered by any questions we had. They constantly cleaned up after themselves. A very stressful situation went very smoothly thanks to them. This company is the Best!

After attempting to fix the problem in the back of the toilet myself, the tank wouldn't fill with water. I called Kempton and Self and was told it would be an after hours charge. Without getting the toilet fixed, I wouldn't be able to use it during the long Labor Day weekend. The technician came and immediately saw the problem. He was courteous and fixed the problem. As a courtesy, he waved the travel fee and just charged me at the overtime labor rate. He was delightful and encouraged me for trying to do the DYI job, despite needing expert eyes to do it correctly.

I just want to start off by saying that I rarely leave a review, but these guys went above and beyond our expectations. We had our whole house re-piped and Trent, Mike and Devin were professional, courteous and kept everything nice and clean. (They were even conscientious about our cats being escape artists and kept outside doors closed.) I also want to mention that these guys were not the cheapest quote we received. However, their quote was detailed and we knew exactly what we were getting. No surprises. I'm sooo glad we chose Kempton & Self for such a major project. Because we are so pleased with their work, I will definitely call them again with any other plumbing issues that might come up and recommend them to anyone needing plumbing work done in their home

We live in Branford, FL and after contacting a local plumber who said we needed to replace our water heater and flush the entire house, we call Kempton. They showed up the next day and checked the screens in our faucets and realized that we were getting sediment from our well clogging our fixtures. After cleaning all fixtures and replacing our toilet guts, we are good to go. Still need a sediment filter, which is our next job for them. The employee who did the work was considerate and informative, very polite and courteous. Highly recommend!

My 92 year old mum called k&s to fix a low flow problem in her guest bathroom. They convinced her that she needed to replumb the house costing 6k that she does not have. We were able to fix the problem by cleaning the faucet screens that had become clogged. They need to be reported to the elder abuse council before they take advantage of someone else.

We had a great experience with Kempton & Self Plumbing Services. We had a water-main leak at our house, and initially had another company (Quality Plumbing) come and look at it, but they were not polite and weren't able to fit us in until almost a week later. We called Kempton & Self Plumbing Services and they were here within the hour. The plumber was extremely nice and communicated with us throughout the process. He was able to have it repaired quickly and for a fair price. We highly recommend their work!

WOW. Leak in front yard from old sprinkler system. Of course it was after-hours but Jacob returned my call within 10 min and Jet appeared at my house shortly after. Spent about an hour to localize leak and fix pipe. Jet was efficient, personable, very pleasant and the cost was reasonable. Now less than 2 hours after the problem was discovered it is fixed. Will definitely call them for future plumbing needs!!
