Ernest Kelly and his wife Vivian founded Kelly Plumbing in 1928 from their house in Louisiana. Because of Ernest's talents, competitive rates, and high-quality service, his plumbing business endured the 1930s. After World War II, Ernest's offspring, Ernest Jr. and Bob Sr., joined the company as journeymen plumbers. The boys continued with construction work, including renovations and home expansions in alongside plumbing services. With a commitment to homeowners only in Monroe, the business flourished. By the mid-1970s, Bob Sr.'s son Bobby Jr. began working for his parent and relative after school and during vacation. In 1994, Bobby Jr. assumed control of Kelly Plumbing. As a third-gen licensed plumber and owner, Bobby enhanced the company's services by introducing excavators, advanced tools, and drain cleaning equipment to their equipment line. Bobby added fourth-gen licensed plumber and child Robby to his crew in 2002.

Bobby Kelly is the current operator and third-generation of Kelly Plumbing. Bobby became the owner of the company in 1994 but has been engaged in plumbing all of his life, serving under his parent and granddad who started the service in 1928.
