Ernest Kelly and his wife Vivian established Kelly Plumbing in the year 1928 from their home in Louisiana. Due to Ernest's talents, fair prices, and quality work, his plumbing business endured the economic downturn. Following World War II, Ernest's sons, Ernest Jr. and Bob Sr., joined the business as journeymen plumbers. The siblings carried on with new construction, including upgrades and additions in together with plumbing repair. With a commitment to customers only in Monroe, the service thrived. By the year 1974, Bob Sr.'s child Bobby Jr. began working for his father and uncle after educational hours and during vacation. In the year 1994, Bobby Jr. assumed control of Kelly Plumbing. As a third generation master plumber and owner, Bobby enhanced the company's capacity by introducing backhoes, inspection cameras, and drain cleaning equipment to their toolset. Bobby brought on fourth-generation journeyman plumber and offspring Robby to his crew in 2002.

Bobby Kelly is the current owner and third-generation of Kelly Plumbing. Bobby took over the business in the year 1994 but has been engaged in plumbing all of his life, working under his parent and ancestor who founded the business in 1928.
