As a repeat customer of Keith Nelson Plumbing I was amazed at his memory of not just the dynamics of the house and the plumbing set up, as well as the area of town and neighborhood but, the restrictions of timing to get work done at this household. I sent a few photos of the crisis we were in this time and within minutes he was on the phone with me with directions to get me out of crisis mode!! This solution worked perfectly as it did not effect any of the service to the rest of the house and I could go into ""cleanup"" mode. But, this is not the end of my story. Keith assured me he had an errand to run a short time from when we were done on the phone and he would be happy to stop on by to check to make sure we were secure in our situation. True to his word, he stopped by about an hour later to look it over. Our problem stemmed from an add on system that was installed many years previous and was no longer being used. He offered to take it all out, on the spot, if I wanted, so we would never have to worry about problems with this again. Money well spent for peace of mind!! Thank you Keith for your dedication and care to your customers!
If you choose Keith Nelson Plumbing just one time, I guarantee you, you will never look any further for your future plumbing services. You will have chosen your plumber for life! Keith is a kind and personable man with whom you can trust not only his word but his workmanship 110%!!!!

In short (details below), if you're rich enough, have no problem blindly accepting what ever price and random and inconsistent explanation they quote without daring to question anything, and are ok with unnecessary parts being replaced (like a practically new valve and water line to a toilet tank because ""that's just how they do it""), yeah hire them. But if you (heaven forbid) have questions, or want to know why/how and understand what you're being billed for, Keith's arrogance and over-inflated sense of self-importance rears it's ugly head and he'll let you know to your face that he's too good to answer your questions and work for you.

I work from home and have a busy work schedule, so planning ahead and coordinating meetings and home repairs is essential. I emailed the email address on their website to ask some questions so I was prepared when the work was to be completed. I asked about pricing to replace a faucet in my kitchen, rebuild the toilet hardware in the tank, and install a water softener with and without providing the water softener. I also asked if I would need to provide any additional supplies or hardware with the faucet I wanted to have installed. I received a response (from an unknown person as the responder didn't sign the email) asking for a picture of my current faucet and a price for installing a provided water softener. I had some difficulty sending the photo, never learned if it finally went through. I questioned the price based on prices of water softeners I had looked at and was told they only install two types of softeners and won't install a client provided softener. So they must be purchased through them. Ok, fine.

I called & left a message to make an appointment to have them replace the faucet and rebuild the tank. Received a call back to schedule something and asked the person again about the prices, letting him know I had sent emails but didn't get a response on those questions. I was told that a standard faucet replacement cost about $170 (give or take) and a standard tank rebuild cost about $125 or so. It was also mention of a cost to come in and estimate but would be waived (basically) if the work was completed. I also asked about how the water softener pricing was calculated and was informed that there is the cost of the softener & supplies to install with a small markup (of course-this is standard) and the cost to do the work. When I asked about hourly labor cost, I was told that jobs are priced as a whole and I needed to keep in mind that they are trained and certified in their job. We set up the appointment for today.

Keith and his associate arrived this morning to install the faucet and repair the toilet. They looked at the kitchen sink first and then the toilet. Then we all went back up to the kitchen so Keith could tell me the total cost. The kitchen faucet would be $311, because that's the price to install a faucet. They would also tack up the line from the dishwasher that wasn't looped up and over like it should have been. The toilet tank rebuild would cost $111 (since they were already here), and he recommended an accordian pipe be replaced for $185 ($20 for the new pipe piece one foot long, and labor) because it's not up to code. When I asked how long it took to install the new piece of pipe, Keith got offended and started saying how they've had multiple discussions with me about pricing and that he doesn't believe that I'm a good fit for them to do buisness with. Their prices are their prices and that's just the way it is. He's priced high-middle of the market and he doesn't feel that I'm the type of person he wants to work with. He'd rather go work for people he wants to work for and who want him to work for them. When I told him I just want to understand how things are priced (as is my right as a consumer) he told me he has prices for each job and that's just how it is. When I suggested he put he those prices on his website, he scoffed and said he would never do that. They are in the business of problems, not plumbing. They fix problems and every job is different. (Which then indicates that his prices aren't set prices by job type as he previously said, but customed prices based on what needs to be done for each job, which then should be able to be broken down and itemized. The lack of consistency in his explanations is concerning.)

Keith and his team replaced our water heater that also ran our in floor heating and our water softener. Very responsive to all my questions and gave me an estimate on the spot. I'd called 5 other companies and they didn't get back to me or gave me a very late overpriced estimate. Keith gave the best price and didn't play games. They came in to do the job quickly and finished in one day. They had already finished the job when another company got back to me on their estimate. Really nice and professional group of guys. We will never call any other plumber again. Thanks Keith and DJ and team.

Keith and his amazing crew took on 2 big jobs for my 96 year old grandmother whom still resides in her 3 story 1920's era home. He went well above and beyond what was asked of him. He really knew how to speak to her, was patient with her when she asked repeated questions, he was a real gentleman. He was very knowledgeable in his fields of work and accommodating to requests of finding fixtures that matched the current era of the home. This home is in distress, but he never made her feel shame. His number one priority was her safety. He had budget-minded solutions to get the jobs that needed to be done, done in a timely fashion. I would recommend Keith Nelson Plumbing and Heating to anyone that was looking for respectful, cost-effective, and knowledgeable service!

Had to replace our water heater right after Christmas. The service was exceptional from the first phone call to the installation. Honest, friendly, knowledgeable, reasonable prices, no hidden fees, everything went smoothly, and was done professionally. I never would have thought replacing a water would be a pleasant experience, but this time, it actually was. So happy and relieved to have found Keith Nelson plumbing. Will never call anyone else!

Keith was great! I got a new dishwasher from my mother-in-law and tried to put this thing in myself, terrible life choice. After opening it up and realizing that this was beyond me, I found Keith based on a recommendation from my mother-in-law. He was everything she said and more. Not only was the dishwasher installed, but I had some inherited less than effective plumbing under my kitchen sink, he replaced the turn-offs and a few pieces of pipe that were significantly corroded.

He came in, did not only what I asked, but also what I needed, was way more affordable than anyone else with incredible professionalism. He also took a look at some things in my house like my water heater. He let me know that my water heater looks great right now, though based on age I should keep an eye on it as most water heaters leak between 12 and 16 years old (mine is at like 15). He served me as a person, not as a quick job or buck.

Thank you Keith!
