Jason and crew were fantastic. they kept us updated as they went and stuck with it till it was finished. Well worth it.

Quite frankly, I would have expected much better from a business identified as """"Best in Tallahassee"""". Keith Lawson Services dispatched an estimator on 11/13/2020 for a possible job consisting of replacement of two heat pumps and new duct work. Before departing from our meeting, the estimator confirmed my e-mail address and assured me that I'd get his written estimate soon. To date, 24 days and THREE phone calls later (11/20, 11/24 & 12/4), I still don't have an estimate. The service manager has apparently been unavailable to take my last two phone calls and I've yet to receive an e-mail, text, or return phone call. My first attempt at using KLS since moving to Tallahassee has been a disappointing one to say the least.

Just had an urgent service call by Kevin when two of our AC units went out simultaneously! Kevin was courteous, smart, efficient and explained things well. Got things working quickly. Couldn't ask for a better service call.

Work is of random quality. Employees fired or forced to take few hours. Quality and pride considerably decreased.

The service technician diagnosed the problem and completed the work prior to providing an estimate and then charged $216 for about 10 minutes of work (cleaning the drain line.) When I brought up the issue about the price he said he would not leave my property until the bill was paid. When I called the office to express my concerns, the level of customer service I received was somewhere between McDonalds and Comcast. Use this company at your own risk.

Part 2) Keith, I am disappointed that you wouldn't take my call. SO, here is my follow-up to your response: 1) I did get a rate quote of $84.95 for the initial visit. That is the ONLY quote received. 2) The tech did not give an expected time required or $ estimate. 3) I have no work order, signed or otherwise. PLEASE provide me with a copy of such. 4) The second call was DIRECTLY related, it was a follow-up (when I had to call back to ask about it). I suppose it was overlooked or not addressed, after being discussed as part of the initial reason for the call. 5) I will be glad to honor my responsibilities. Let's get them right first. Thanks. AT Part 1) BE VERY WARY ABOUT COSTS. A job expected to be a couple of hundred was billed at $654.95 in labor alone.. No up front estimate. This was more than was paid for the original unit. I would have never agreed to such cost up front!!

My wife and I had to re-plumb our house due to a leak from old poly bute piping. We got 4 estimates and selected KL-even though they weren't the lowest bid. What a nightmare it turned out to be. We were told that it would take 4-5 days and it turned out to be 7. And, even though they ran piping to my attached addition (mother-in-law suite), they did not replace the plumbing as quoted. In addition, when they ran a pressure test and turned on the water, the workers did not glue the piping together and flooded my attic and the ceiling collapsed in my garage. To their credit, they did fix my sheet rock promptly and that was good workmanship. The project manager fought with me over the crew installing new toilets I bought to be installed when the others were completely removed due the scope of the work. In fact, the supervisor on the job said that it was no problem to replace old toilets because they either had to put the old ones back in or new ones. The other issue was our kitchen faucet would not flow properly and we were told that that was a common problem when they have to move the water heater, which causes sediment to loosen and clog the lines in faucets. The supervisor, a gentleman named Ben, took it upon himself to warranty our practically brand new faucet and installed it because of, and I quote, """"all the problems and lengthy time it took to 'almost' finish the job"""". I called to speak with Keith Lawson personally about my issues and didn't receive a return call. I and my wife emailed and got no response from him. I went by the office twice and could not get an audience with Mr. Lawson-only to speak one time with a project supervisor, which resulted in nothing. He insisted that our attached suite was not quoted in the bid-yet they ran piping underground, up the exterior wall, into the attic and cut holes in the sheet rock to access piping inside the suite. The workers and supervisor, Ben, who worked for days at our house, were very nice, kind and helpful. In spite of the ceiling leak, they took it upon themselves to stay late and make sure we had water. However, the response, or lack there of, from the owner left a very bitter taste in my mouth. We are a family that doesn't live paycheck to paycheck, but we don't have a lot of money, otherwise I would have definitely considered filing a lawsuit. It's just a shame that Mr. Lawson didn't have the courtesy to respond to OUR concerns. Not an email, text, phone call......nothing. I would suggest before considering using them to do your homework. I would not, even in the most dire circumstances, use that company ever again-despite the honest and hard-working men that did work on our house.

Jonathan arrived within the expected time frame, fixed the problem, and left in no time. He even cleaned up after himself!!! I would definitely use Keith Lawson again.

Here is an update: As you read, we contacted a total of six plumbing companies on Saturday night, and I left two different phone numbers for their return calls. It is now around noon on Monday, and not a single one of those other plumbing companies has called us back. Just one more reason why Keith Lawson's is the best plumbing company in Tallahassee.

Keith Lawson's plumbing would not come out to help my emergency plumbing issue because my name is not on the house. I do no rent, rather my fiancé's name is on the house. I cannot gat ahold of him because he is teaching a law review class at FAMU. He would need to call it in. So, even though I was willing to pay overtime rates and what ever else the plumber would of said I owed, I was refused service. Great job on being a capitalist. I do own an apartment building that is in my name and if ever there was an emergency plumbing issue I would rather it flood than use you. Good thing there are other competitors.
