I say find another plumber, they are not the same plumbers I used for years, now being run by people in the office who just want to charge as much time as they can. I called to have my sump pump in my crawl space replaced, they came out and the next day I got a bill for $792.00. I called to find out why so much and they said it took 2 guys 4.5 hrs which included travel time. I said I have no problem with the parts cost but the labor cost is nuts, first of all one guys had a bad leg tried to go into the crawl space and got stuck so I had to help him get out never did any work, the other guy finished the job in about 1 1/2 hours and he was the helper. They finally did give me a $92.00 credit, I paid the bill and said I would never use or recommend them again. Hear is my problem, I trusted them form past experience to do the job at a fair price I was wrong. Bottom line Ken and Kevin are good plumbers but seems no longer running the business as I was told I could not discuss this situation with either of them.

Landis came out to clean and service my oil burning heater. They left soot stains on my new carpet. Two months after the service the heater stopped working. I called another HVAC co who came out and my electrodes were all burned up and needed replacing and the transformer was in bad shape. The tech told me whoever serviced your heater should have noticed that and repaired it. He also said the paperwork Landis left for their combustion tests are not within the allowable limits and they should not have left the heater like this. On top of all that Landis charged me $236.91. I will never use them again.

We used another plumber for 20 years at Mothers' house. Radiator pipes burst when Mom was in the hospital, called that plumber, he stopped leak, next day he said to replace old pipes would be a flat $1,000. and would not be able to do it for a week. Meanwhile no heat,
and Mom is coming home from hospital.

Tried KD Landis, job done next day, for $550, and they billed me.

Fast, efficient, very presentable plumbers.

Installed a jet pump that needs a plumber every the power goes out but we don't know that until the power goes out and he tells us. Now he comes after the power outage and water leaks all through the basement after he leaves. Next, two guys come for 1.25 hours and this includes down time and waiting for parts. There is not enough room in the service for barely one guy let alone two. We get a bill for over $500.00 this time. No estimate was given ahead of time. When queried them (my 84 year old mother was here with our neighbor when they came) on why they sent two guys, my answer was 'depends what we have on the books that day.' To me, it'd be nice to know if you need to pay one guy to work and one to watch. The topper was when they charge us for 2.5 hours per guy and they weren't here that long. Be careful with this mob. Unfortunately, I can't give zero stars for those who take advantage of the elderly in our community..
