I began my plumbing career as an apprentice in Culver City, California in 1972. In 1977, I launched my own plumbing business in Marina Del Rey, California, focusing primarily on new construction. I closed that business in 1978 and relocated to Palm Springs, California. I took a position at Barrett Plumbing, one of the valley's top plumbing firms at that time. I continued there until 1980, when I made the decision to start my own business again. On this occasion, I partnered with Chuck Barrett, the grandson of the owner of Barrett Plumbing. This is how we decided on the name KC's 23 1/2 Hour Plumbing. I took over Chuck's share in 1980, and KC's 23 1/2 Hour Plumbing has continued to serve the Valley.
We have proudly served our clients for over 30 years. Service and repair have always been my true passion, rather than new builds. I enjoy building relationships with my clients, treating them like family.

Called December 15th and was told the soonest for my leak repair was December 27 between 10 and 12. OK....it's the Season, the leak can damage my house for a week, I guess. Poor lady sounded overworked dropped the phone and then made the appointment. Called December 27th at 12:30 and was put on hold rather than a greeting. After about 10 minutes, I called back. This time the overworked lady put me on hold for 10 minutes then returned apologizing for not calling me saying ""I am next"". My morning is gone, my sink is still leaking, so I called the local handyman. Got him, he is on his way over tomorrow. Price is probably better but looking at a ""KC's"" truck parked right next to me for the last 3 days(Rio Vista Dr) makes me think the plummer has bankers hours.

Toilets backing up and overflowing in two bathrooms--after 6pm. We called our home warrantee company. They couldn't get anyone out until the next day or two. KC's answered their phone and were able to get to our house within the hour. Had family visiting and our pizza making night came to a dead halt. Kevin (the technician) was kind enough to call our home warrantee company--who literally haggled with him on the phone about what was wrong and fees, as water was flooding---Sorry again Kevin, we had no idea they would do this. Kevin's patience and knowledge saved our house and the evening. He fixed the problem and was on his way in a little over an hour. Highly recommend this company. Thank you again Kevin, you saved our home and very special family gathering.

Terrible customer service and care from technician, Kevin and office staff Tina. Window of 2-4pm. No show from Kevin. Then a call from Tina at 4:30 to say Kevin is delayed. Of course I'm finally in the shower. I call back at 4:45. Is anyone home? We will send another technician right now. 5:40 and no one is here. The reason for needing a technician in the first place was a faulty toilet hardware installation a month earlier and no technician from two days after that until now. Toilet that runs on & off at random and sometimes doesn't refill. Never again KC's!!

Okay -- you've had a plumbing emergency, you are in a panic and you've got the option to call like 20 different plumbers. I recommend you call KC first.
KC's Plumbing is responsive, professional and fair: they will give you several options in terms of price, schedule and how much work is required. I've dealt with Casey and Jessie onsite, both are great guys.

Well, sour grapes to the negative reviews. These guys saved us big time. Recently, we discovered water coming from underground by the side of our house, where the main water line comes in. We had to turn off the water at the street to prevent a huge mess. After making several calls to various plumbers, KC was the only who was willing to squeeze us in for at least an initial look. Kevin showed up as promised and gave his assessment. They moved around other calls and were able to schedule us. The next day, Kevin spent several hours removing our sprinkler valves (that were on top of the leak) and then digging by hand and eventually jack hammering the loose concrete chunks the builder had dumped on top of the water line (why!?). He quickly found the culprit, which was a substantial leak in the main water line connector. He was able to replace the bad section and get our main water supply back (whew!). He then returned on a Saturday afternoon to rebuild out our sprinkler valve assembly (which looks pretty snazzy now). I know that KC had to move around other calls to accommodate our issue, which we greatly appreciated (I know this can be a customer service nightmare).
I highly recommend these guys for your plumbing woes....!

I had a heater water pipe replacement 2 years ago by Kc's plumbing. The guy didn't did a good job . After a few days later my fire water system was broken because my heater's fire tube didn't stuck well to the ceiling which caused it broken. I called them immediately but they didn't sent their guy to fixed it at that night. And I didn't slept the whole night too because it was leaking . I had to paid extra money to fix my fire water system too. Now I wrote this review because I wanted anyone knew what happened to me.

We used KC's Plumbing to review a recommendation that was provided by another plumbing company regarding things the other company had found wrong with the plumbing. Luis did a great job of checking everything they suggested and helping to assure us we did not need to make those changes. We've repeatedly used KC's for all our plumbing needs.

Very pleased with Jesse C. from KC's 23-1/2 Hour Plumbing. Very knowledgeable, reliable and no surprises. I have a very high level of confidence in getting quality service at a reasonable price.

The following message was sent to KC's Plumbing via their web site on Wednesday, August 31, 2016.
This is not a request for a cost estimate. This is to express my disappointment with the gas line repairs supposedly completed on August 24. When the gas company technician arrived on Thursday, August 25, to turn on our gas supply, he determined there was a leak -- the pressure test he conducted failed! Thanks to his persistence, he found the source of the leak in the new line and repaired it on the spot. I'd paid the bill earlier in the day. I later called back to report that KC's work had not been completed. I wrongly thought someone from KC would call to apologize for the inconvenience and tell me that my experience was not the norm. In my view KC failed again.
Still have not heard from them. Maybe the rating should be one star.

These guys are straight up thieves. Jesse came up to my place twice to fix my garbage disposal, which broke immediately after--of course they blamed me and charged me each time. When I called them to install a new garbage disposal, I was given the hard sell about buying one of theirs and then the manager Kelly said he would get my paperwork and would call me back the next day; he never did and completely wasted my time. Before that, Jesse came to install a toilet, which didn't fit. Again I was blamed and charged, though Jesse took it out of the box and didn't measure it either. They've also screwed up appointments--with one woman forgetting to tell the service guy to even come. Seriously considering small claims. These guys are GRIFTERS--watch out.
