I hired Kauffman Company to do an inspection on the fire sprinkler system in my town home. The inspection was performed and a number of recommendations were provided to improve the overall performance / address a code problem. We turned the sprinkler system on at this time.

The next day, a large leak had developed in my living room. Obviously, the sprinkler system was disabled at this time. Kauffman had someone come out to review the problem - they cut holes in the drywall to find the problem and were to provide an estimate to fix the issue (I do not hold Kauffman responsible for the start of the leak - that was due to the builder).

I do, however, hold Kauffman responsible for broken promises of a repair estimate, carving holes in my ceiling and disappearing and then never following up on the original items to improve the sprinkler system after repeated requests. My fire sprinkler system has been off since the leak occurred 6 weeks ago.

I would not hire this company again, and would not recommend them to anyone. They have left me holding the bag with no fire protection, holes in my ceiling and no option to address the outstanding issues with the design of my fire sprinkler.
