The best family company around. We had a huge project involving breaking into our cement floor to replace a broken pipe. Bob walked me through the process, what was needed and there was not a speck of dust left when he was done! Kim and Bob were awesome. I've hired them several times for different things and they are always kind, knowledgeable and helpful. I've even called for advice on a few things and are always happy to help. They are local so always near by. Bob is a neat freak (you should see his truck!) but that means he cleans up the job when it's done. I would give them 6 stars if I could!

Last week a water line broke in the basement at 5:45 PM on a Tuesday, we called several plumbers earliest they could show up was Friday - We called Kim and Kauer & Son and Bob was at our house within the hour to fix our problem. Very quick, knowledgeable, friendly and gave us a good price. At the same time we spoke about our sump pump problem relating to rust algae we set up a time a week later to come in and fix that problem. He was here right at the expected time worked on the problem over 4 hours and did an exceptional job. His price came in at 1/2 of what the other plumber quoted about 2 years ago. Kauer & Son are your go-to guys (and gals). Robert was punctual, knowledgeable, friendly, and honest. He quickly resolved my urgent drain issue (cleared roots) and advised on the long term repair without typical sales pressure. He did an excellent job explaining the hows/whys and offered advice for proper operation/maintenance of my septic system. While I'm certainly not looking forward to any future plumbing issues, I know Kauer & Son will be there with reliable and quality service should the situation arise.

Once upon a time, I could fix almost anything. But that was then, this is now. Since age has caught up with me, I now have to bring in the professionals to do my repairs. I decided to use Yelp.com for something besides checking restaurant ratings. While checking ""plumbers"", I noted Kauer & Son had the best ratings (5 stars) and all positive reviews. So I gave them a call. Described my leaking garbage disposal problem to the nice lady who set me up with an appointment. Since the problem was not an emergency situation, I opted for a time three days later. Robert, the plumber, called while en route to my house. Upon arrival, he assayed the problem and said he had all the required parts on his truck. In what I felt was ""no time at all"", the problem was corrected. He cleaned up the mess under the sink and was done. A knowledgeable and personable man. I actually enjoyed having him work on my house. Oh, and the price was right. I hope there are no further plumbing issues, but if there are, you can bet I'll be calling Kauer and Son.

If you are looking for a plumber and you are reading this review, look no further!! My husband and I like to support family owned businesses and this one is the best. We have used Kauer & Son several times in the last year and a half. When you call to schedule an appointment, you are usually able to speak with a human!! If you have to leave a message, your call will be returned promptly!! We've had a sump pump with a water powered back up installed. We have replaced an old water heater, a laundry tub faucet and two outdoor faucets. Also, many minor repairs have been taken care of... leaky faucets, bathtub drain, etc. Bob is extremely knowledgeable and friendly. Everything is always done right the first time. Thank you Bob and Kim, you're the best!!

Called 7:30am expecting voice mail and the phone was answered. Came out that day to fix a pump that stopped working for our basement bathroom. Bob was very friendly and was in and out in an hour. Cheaper than we were expecting to pay. We will recommend them for sure and will not have to look for another plumbing company as we have found the one we will use from now on. Highly recommend!!
