I chased this company down for 2 weeks to get a repair done, sent them video of the problem, went on the website twice to schedule an appointment (with no response), left voice mail and then finally scheduled an appointment after I called them a second time and they answered. Then they ""no showed"" on that appointment. When I called to find out what happened receptionist said she never put me on the schedule because she wanted me to call back and confirm? That was the a-ha moment for me... uhh duh on me I know. She said ""sorry"" and claimed that they were having phone issues (for 2 weeks?) and technical issues with the website. I said I was sorry too - I'm pau! If you are a plumber reading this, please know that you can open a business and if you can answer your phone, show up and do the job right, you will be an everyday real life hero... so go for it!

This story actually got even worse. The verbal $500 estimate for a simple installation turned into a $2300 estimate plus tax when the written estimate finally came. That is with me supplying the water heater. Brain surgeons make less than that. I will be taking my written estimate to Home Depot so that they know what is going on. Why the difference between the verbal estimate and the written estimate? Why $2000 an hour for a plumber?

Just purchased a water heater & got it installed by Kama'aina Plumbing. Lisa got back to me straight-away & making an appt. was no problem with their courteous operator! Dan & Earl did a great job & were very informative. Dan also answered any & all questions I had. Very pleasant & efficient guys! They did a great job! Will definitely be calling Kama'aina Plumbing again when I need plumbing work!

Not happy at all with the service. The receptionist talked too fast on the phone and forget to get my email address to email me the estimated quote. Checked the estimate and it was a total rip off when it was a simple replacement seal that had to be done. The plumber did not have a 4 way key to shut off the water. He acted professional but he did not look professional at all. Only want the money but the service was bad.

I have used this company a couple of times but never again. First the office sucks in customer service, the guys were late with no calls letting me know they are running late, they did absolutely nothing when they got here. They said they didnt have the materials needed to complete the installation. How are you not going to have the materials to complete the work have you ever heard of stock your trucks. Bad customer service never again will i use the Kamaaina companies.

Kamaaina Plumbing was recommended to us by a family member. They came in and started working quickly to diagnose our problem. They didn't just give us their theories, they didn't tell us to tear out our new counter top and cabinets and they didn't quote us 400$ to send a camera down the pipe to ""see"" as 2 other vendors had done. They took action and worked around our cabinets and appliances to get to our plumbing. Their receptionist was friendly and reminded us about our appointments. They weren't timely for one of our appointments (due to an emergency at another site).. but it was okay, they were good at what they do and I didn't mind waiting for them. They were up front with us, efficient, knowledgeable, and reasonably priced. Both Alan and David were great!

Frankly after reading the two reviews on this company on yelp, I was anxious about this company coming to install the garbage disposal I purchased from Home Depot (they have the contract with Home Depot to do those installations). I even called Home Depot to express my concern and the woman I spoke to assured me that if there were any problems, I could call Home Depot and they would make sure it was taken care of - she also said they were careful about which companies they used as problems customers experienced would also reflect on Home Depot. I also checked the BBB Hawaii site and didn't see any complaints on record for this company and they had an A+ rating. Thankfully, everything went smoothly. The plumber and helper arrived within the time frame given. They immediately went to work and from start to finish, it took them a half hour to remove the old disposal and install the new unit. The plumber checked to make sure the new disposal was working correctly and that there were no leaks. I was then told that Home Depot would check back with me for my feedback about their service. So, despite my initial trepidations, the installation went fine and I am happy with my new (and quiet) disposal.

Not impressed! I was told to take a picture of my leaking toilet and send it to them so they would have the right part when they showed up. They showed up and then looked at the toilet and said they don't have the part! The plumber left the house saying he would run to the store and get one and never called me back and never came back. A week later I received a call saying that they would have to order the part. So they did that and set up another appointment a week later. The day they were suppose to come, I received a call saying the the plumber was sick and couldn't make it so they would have to reschedule again! This is a fairly large plumbing agency and they only have one guy??? Anyways, I had commited so much time to this, that I scheduled another visit a week later. I can't believe it took a month to get them to fix my toilet! I'll look for another plumber next time...

This is not related to their plumbing services. One of their trucks backed into my car 3 weeks ago creating a $1200 damage. Kamaina Management is not responding to my phone calls nor making any payments. Forced to go through my insurance and then have them collect payment. What a headache. So unprofessional and irresponsible.
