I recently used Kama'aina Handyman twice for some minor repair work at my condo. On November 19, Pohai came out to flip the position of a bathroom light fixture. He also looked at two other projects I wanted fixed. On December 31, Zack came to fix 3 kitchen drawers that were broken or needed a new rolling fixture part. He had to go to nearby City Mill to get a piece of wood cut to fix the broken drawer, and he had to check out several hardware stores to find the correct rolling fixtures. I appreciated his persistence in finding the correct part that was needed and for coming out on New Year's Eve. Both Pohai and Zack arrived on time, were friendly, knowledgeable and efficient, and had me smiling in no time. In addition to these awesome handymen, I want to thank Nora for helping to get my questions answered and for facilitating Kama'aina's terrific communications. I loved receiving text and email reminders. I will definitely use Kama'aina Handyman again!

Quick, professional, prompt, knowledgeable. Zack swung by my place in August because I needed to swap out my window AC. The new junk one I got from Home Depot just wasn't powerful enough to control the humidity in my room, so I got myself an LG Inverter directly from the local vendor (DMG Hawaii). Dude knew what to do from the very start. Came in, took measurements, assessed the situation and got to work. We talked story - dude's a little younger than me so we talked video games and whatnot. The air conditioner is a newer style inverter AC and mounted slightly differently. I helped him find the instructions in the manual to mount it and he quickly adapted to the new mounting style (hint: preinstall the fins before you mount the AC). After he finished he cleaned up the work area and disposed of all debris. Finished in under an hour and was basically no-nosense with how he did the work. I had to hire these guys after the previous company that mounted my original AC didn't leave a good impression with me, even though they were competent at what they completed. Next time I need something done, I will be calling these guys. Rates were reasonable compared to their competition.

The staff that answered the incoming telephone calls are very pleasant and helpful. I was able to get an appointment within a week to install my television wall mount. The service technicians, Jovan and Randy, arrived on-time, came prepared with the proper tools, and courteous. Jovan assessed the scope of the job by reviewing the size of the television, placement on the wall (height), and was able to locate the wall stud to better secure the mouth.
