They say a Lady Never Tells Her Secrets, but I must make an exception for Rick & the Kama Hele Plumbing & Gas Team. He's been my go-to guy for five years- so we're way beyond a first date together. Rick & his team have put in gas lines, water lines, gas stove, toilets, easy showers, complicated showers, fixed pipes broken by tree roots, installed dishwashers, garbage disposals, outside hose hookups, washers, dryers, wash basins, kitchen & bathroom sinks. Over the past year the team did ALL the plumbing & gas work for our new home- the ultimate project. He responds to phone, emails & text messages. He's on site when he says he'll be there. The Kama Hele Plumbing Team is The Real Deal- very reasonable cost, with listen up- EXCEPTIONAL customer service. We were one of his very first customers & it just keeps getting better. Nope, not related & friends & family know you cannot pay me to write a review. Rick has never asked for me to write a review & this is a long overdue SHOUT OUT for an amazing group. Don't waste time going anywhere else. Like I said- we've been together for a long time. It's easy to do a good job once, but this review is EARNED over the LING HAUL of 5+ years. Rudy was was friendly and courteous. He apologized for arriving a little late. He identified the cause of leak and corrected it quickly. He then looked at a problem in our second bathroom tub and fixed it. Both problems were due to improper work done before we purchased the home. I have had other plumbers in the house before. This is the first I was completely satisfied with and would recommend and use again.

Rick and his team are experienced professionals who understand customer service. Don't let plumbers in Hawaii give you high cost proposals with the ""that's how it is in Hawaii"" excuse. Rick is very reasonable and will give you quality work. We were referred to Rick through our home inspector for a condo purchase. The bathroom needed a significant overhaul. New toilet, new supply valves, new shower valve, new sink, new tub surround/tile. We had a specific schedule that we needed to keep due to some conflicting requirements and particular allowable workdays due to condo association rules. Rick and his guys completed all of the work expertly and right on schedule. No complaints, no extra charges. The work is high quality. I'll close with the fact that I am a construction project manager by profession. Have been for 25 years. I know a great contractor when I hire one and Rick is a great contractor.

Our experience with Kama Hele Plumbing hands down has been the best customer service experience from the initial call for an estimate to the completed work and clean up. I had my solar water replaced and my quote was on point. They did not try to up sell me with recommending to change other parts if it was not needed. My appointment was set within a reasonable timeframe and the technicians arrived on time. John and Jay were friendly, yet professional. They were knowledgeable during the installation process. They also did a great job cleaning up after themselves and even took the time to wipe down the new heater. No job too big or small give Rick a call, you won't be sorry. I called up Rick one day and explained my ask. He was kind enough to give me a rough guesstimate on cost upon my request. He quickly rattled off whatI felt was a fair price, right off the bat, as it was a task he's done many times before. He asked me to text him my address and contact info, and a time that works for us for him to come by. Today he came by in the morning exactly at the time he said he would and a bit over an hour later he charged exactly what he quoted! I can't stress enough how truly honest and fair Rick is. While I didn't deal with him in person, but my wife did and she said how professional and personable he is. He was efficient and very nice!! I will definitely be calling Rick again for some plumbing help on another project, and I would recommend anyone looking for a fair and honest plumber, give Kama Hele Plumbing a call!!! I didn't think I was going to find a plumber in Hawaii who knows his stuff AND charges you reasonable fees, until I met Rick at Kama Hele Plumbing! So, here are my reasons for giving Kama Hele Plumbing 5 stars. Competence/Efficiency: I was expecting the worst when my home in Ocean Pointe needed a new low-boy water heater that was VERY hard to find; one other plumber I called before Kama Hele swore that they no longer make a model of that (low but wide) size and gave up on me! Rick proved him wrong by getting a similar model via special order at Home Depot. Price: I was pleasantly surprised by the overall cost of labor and parts, especially since this was not your average stock water heater you could pick up at Home Depot. Customer service: swift (even by mainland standards) and courteous. When Rick realized that our special order from Home Depot would take longer than initially anticipated, he offered to do an interim install of a temporary water heater free of charge (because mine was pretty much on its way out) while we waited for ours! Jeannie (sp?) who handled the scheduling and payment was quick at providing me an emailed estimate and bill/payment receipt at each transaction. Convenience: I didn't even need to be home for the estimate, temporary water heater install and the final water heater install, since my water heater shed was outside the house. Plus, they accept credit cards over the phone!

Great service! Fast and efficient! We had a leak in our bathroom due to the previous owners cutting corners and using the wrong parts under the sink. Rudy came in and said he had never seen work done like that. He was able to install the right parts in less than 15 mins! Now we have pipes that don't leak. We look forward to working with Kama Hele plumbing in the future. Thank you Rick for your quick response and thank you Rudy for a job well done!!!

Called Rick as a referral and I must say he is the nicest guy. I've called other plumbers before and they rushed me off the phone or said they were too busy and never returned my call. Rick made me feel very comfortable and listened to my concern I had about my toilet. He sent someone over within a couple days to check out the problem and snake my toilet. I would definitely recommend them if you want fast and efficient service!!!!
