I called Kal with an emergency door issue. I have a son with autism who elopes & I needed an interior prehung door installed asap. Kal was able to fit me in the next day. He was prompt, courteous, and meticulous. It was somewhat of a tricky job because an HVAC vent was in the way, but he was happy to discuss alternatives to work around the vent. He wanted to make sure that I was going to be happy with the finished result (I am). Fast, quality work for a great price--I will definitely be calling Kal for all of my future handyman needs!

I found Kal through Yelp and the great ratings. He's come to my home twice. He's replaced two sink faucet sets in our bathrooms, fixed a shower handle by replacing a cartridge and replaced a ceiling fan. Both times he was on time. Very pleasant and clean worker. He takes the time to explain the problem and will give you a price and will honor it even if the project turned out to be a bit more difficult. My only issue so far has been with the light in the ceiling fan. It turns itself off. I texted him and promptly called me back. He will come in tomorrow to check it out. It may be a manufacturer problem.
In any event, so far so good. I highly recommend him.

Kal is phenomenal. It's rare to find honest, kind, and professional quality help these days, and Kal was exactly that.

Kal returned our phone call within an hour of our inquiry, and was prompt to schedule an apt for a free visit for quote.

We were so impressed that he was so knowledgeable on repairs, especially in electrical, and had solutions for everything we were looking to accomplish.

He returns texts immediately, he's friendly, and his prices are more than fair. He leaves your home better than he found it.

He did a great job hanging our outdoor decorative shutters, and hung our new dining room chandalier.

We look forward to him returning soon to hang a new barn door, replace a bathroom light, and add an electrical unit in our foyer.

Don't call anyone else! Kal is amazing! He makes you feel like family, and it feels so good having someone so reliable and trustworthy in our home who does such a stellar job and looks out for your best interest!

Kal is the best!! I just had him install sconces over my fireplace and replace old track lighting with a chandelier. He is on time, precise and extremely efficient, clean and knows his stuff! Plus, he is very reasonable and trustworthy! I now can't wait to start new projects! I couldn't be more pleased with his work.

Calles two handymen I found on Yelp. Kal was available much sooner and very friendly on the phone. Was right on time. He loves dogs and dogs love him - which is important to me. I don't trust people who hate babies and dogs.

Anyway, he patched a big hole the plumber left after repairing the drain a few weeks ago. He textured the ceiling nicely but did not paint which is fine.

He also installed a ceiling fan and a light fixture over existing ones. He did a good job there too although the ceiling fan wobbles a little bit on high speed - but I think the last one did too.

I am not sure how Kal charges - he gave me a quote of $300 based on the jobs I said I had for him, it disn't seem to be an hourly rate. He was here about 3 hrs so that seemed inline with the first provider's quote he gave me that was an hourly rate. As a comparison, I will now compare the two quotes below.

That first handyman I called said he charged $120/hr first hr and $70/hr after that. So assuming would take him the same.three hours, that would have cost me $260 - about the same price as the $300 Kal charged. Of course with Kal I didn't have to worry if we stopped to chat since.it was a flat fee so that was nice. And sometimes people who charge hourly take longer to run up the bill. So, pros and cons each way.

In closing - I recommend Kal! He is very trustworthy and personable and was very kind and patient both with my dogs bothering him and with my husband and I asking questions. And he did a good job. I will definitely use his services again. He says he takes credit cards but prefers cash or check because of the fees tbey deduct - which I certainly understand!

Found Kal and gave him a call to do some small jobs around the house, install a toilet and 2 ceiling fans. Showed up ahead of schedule, very polite and professional and went out of his way to make sure we were satisfied. Highly recommend.

Kal deserves the perfect score! He is professional, responsive, and does not overcharge. I like that he explained to me what was involved with my repairs.
Kal installed lights in my garage, outside, front porch, and upgraded my fluorescent lights in the kitchen to spotlights. He replaced my fan over the stove and as a courtesy blew out a bird's nest that had been made in the exhaust pipe! Then he placed screening over the vent where they had entered. He also refers other specialists who are trustworthy.
