I contacted Justin Dorsey plumbing to clear out a clogged main sewer drain at one of my properties in Greencastle. He was able to clear some however the clog remained and it was suggested to me to have the line camered for an additional $600 to determine the blockage not including repair. Also the plumber thought the line might need to be dug as there might be roots in line. I live in Chicago so with anticipation of digging I brought a crew to Greencastle. After 15 minutes my ""experienced unlicensed"" plumber rodded the sewer and cleared the line with little difficulty. No additional expense to camera or dig and repair. I contact Justin Dorsey but they never returned call.
Very disappointed to pay Justin Dorsey plumbing a fee of $700 to essentially do nothing. The only good part is I possibly prevented the additional charge of Camera and unnecessary repair of $$$.

Removed stool from flange. Tried to cable line. Got line to open up More than it previously was. Continued to attempt to cable line. Line seemed to have an
issue approx 20/25 out. Was not letting cable through. Pulled cable back and found no evidence. Changed sewer machine head from cutter to spade.
Reattempted opening the line further. Same problem continued to occur approx 20/25 ft out. Stop and redirected with a phone call to the landlord. Described
the situation on hand and options for what's next. Landlord said he is going to take it from here.

I know for a fact this company sells their customers new water heaters with extended warranty pakages without installing all of the equipment i.e. thermal expansion tanks, ball valves etc. the customers pay for it but do not get what they pay for. Do not use this company

The ""fixed in one day"" claim didn't work for us. I'm an engineer, so when our water heater went out on a Friday I knew exactly what was wrong, called them, and asked them to bring a new water heater out when the technician came so we could get this fixed in one stop. On Sunday he shows up and has no idea of the conversation I had with the office staff. He's there 10 minutes, confirms my diagnosis, no water heater on the truck. He quotes me a price (as others have said they are not cheap) and says he will do his best to be back the next day. Monday comes and goes with no update. Tuesday morning he shows up with a different brand of water heater (oh, I couldn't get the one we quoted). Installation was very professionally done and after checking online the installed water heater was every bit as good spec-wise as the one I was quoted (no ""bait and switch""). On the whole, it wasn't particularly fast but it was done right and we're very happy with the installation and how the water heater is working.

They are not cheap but they're upfront about their prices in advance. They also came to my hOuse promptLy and i live way, way out in the country. The guy who came was a decent guy and who presenyed the facts nicely. It turned out to be a simple matter, but i paid a lot to get it resolved. Same daY, however. So, fair enough.

We had a new septic system installed and the people doing the job decided connecting was a bigger job than they wanted to tackle. This put us in a bad spot. We contacted Justin Dorsey and they sent a technician right away. While he was not able to start immediately to finish the job. He gave us a quote and was able to return in a couple of days and finish the job of disconnecting from our old service and connecting with the new. Very professional and courteous. Will recommend them highly.

I'm not mechanically inclined, so when my outside faucet was found running with a steady flow, I turned it off as much as I could. Even tightening one of the pieces of the faucet with pliers only seemed to reduce it to a drip, so I called for a professional. I wasn't sure if there was any damage I would do by over tightening, so I made an appointment for the next day.

When the service man arrived (right in the middle of the 2 hour window we scheduled), we discussed the problem and he assured me that the type of faucet I had could be tightened without worry, so he put a little more pressure on it and stopped the leak in less than a minute. Instead of making me feel dumb, he let me know about the type of faucet I had and that if this tightening didn't fix the problem, he would wave the service call fee if he needed to come back.

He also showed me where the main shutoff valves were if I ever had an emergency leak so that I could contain a problem until help arrived.

Friendly service without pushing for a lot of expensive supplies or a maintenance program. The problem seems to be fixed and I am resting assured that I'm not going to have water problems this winter.

We recently had our floors redone, but when the washer and dryer were reinstalled, the valves were so old that they started to leak. We called Dorsey Plumbing at the suggest of a friend (who will be on the receiving end of a warm thank you note). We were given a window during which we could expect the technician, but received a call in advance to say that he was delayed due to complications at another job and would be arriving later and the staff kept me informed the whole time.
When the technician (Kevin) arrived, he was very professional, provided us with our options and potential costs, explained them in lay terms that we could understand, and proceeded to do the work quickly and, from the looks of it, very well. The price was reasonable, and when he was done, you would never know he was there.
Calling a plumber is something a home owner hopes they never have to do. But it the need arises again, we will call Dorsey Plumbing and ask for Kevin again!
