Our involvement in renewable energy and energy-efficient construction has been a priority. With the ongoing increase in energy costs, we identified one of the largest energy wasters in homes: tank water heaters. Maintaining 40, 50, or more gallons of water heated in a tank feels outdated and inefficient. Having learned about tankless water heaters and point-of-use heaters from Europe and Asia, we decided to bring this technology to our area. Now, with large federal tax credit of 30% on unit costs and installation up to $1500, going tankless makes more sense than ever.
For decades, John has been energy conservation and the renewable energy sector. Emphasizing energy savings and renewable energy production has been central to our lives and business. Our team can offer consultations on energy usage and conservation for both residential and commercial settings. With our extensive experience, we can find the most cost-effective and environmentally friendly solutions. We hold General, Electrical, and Plumbing Licenses from the California State Licensing Board. Furthermore, we also specialize in hydronic and radiant heating, particularly for Eichler homes.

Very happy with their work. Enjoying our brand new Rinnai heater. Timely and professional, easy to deal with. Very good at explaining technical details to such a layman as myself. Highly recommend.
Joel C.I have a 5 year old Noritz tankless water heater that was leaking on the inside and there isn't supposed to be water on the inside! I found Just Tankless on the Noritz website as a certified installer. I called them on Saturday morning (because all water leaks occur on Friday night after everyone is closed for the weekend). There are 3 numbers on their website, and Al picked the phone on one of them, thankfully! Al ended up coming out and was super knowledgeable and honest and gave great advice. He diagnosed it quickly as a faulty heat exchanger and called Noritz right there and texted them pictures and since it was under warranty (parts only, not labor), they sent me the parts for free. Al informed me that it would be about 5 hours to replace it. And in our area, the cost of living is so high that the going hourly rate for plumbers is so high.
The part wouldn't arrive for another 2 or 3 days so I had to wait and Al said that he unfortunately didn't have the time in his schedule to replace it himself. It was difficult to find anybody to replace it, but I did find someone solid and I am grateful. But I would take Al and Just Tankless any day. He was kind, comfortable, took time with me, had true empathy, and dealt very honestly. He told me a very simple solution to something that I should add to my system to prevent this from happening again, which i now have added. This is a quality choice for a tankless system install and very knowledgeable about repairs. Thanks Al! You are awesome!
Darien R.Our NAVIEN water heater went out a few weeks back. I thought the repair would be a pretty quick, straightforward process but I was wrong.
I went online to find a group certified technicians that were qualified to work on our brand of water heater. I called the technician on the list which was closest to our home. It wasn't Just Tankless - it was a different company - Clap Construction in Mountain View.
Phillip from CLAP Construction and his assistant came and spent an hour and a half poking around and said he wasn't able to finish, but that he would need to come back in the morning and finish up. He comes back in the morning for another hour and tells me the bad news... ""you're going to need a new PCB board along with a new valve and igniters."" It was going to be around $1500. He suggested we just get a brand new water heater since other parts were bound to go bad in the future...blah, blah, blah.
After hanging up with him, I wanted a second opinion (I didn't trust this guy.). I called Just Tankless and spoke to the owner named Al. He was a really nice, honest guy. I told him the story and how I wanted a second opinion. It was a Saturday and he didn't have time but he said he would squeeze me in somehow later in the afternoon.
He showed up, took a look at the water heater and told me that the other guy mis-diagnosed the problem. It was only the *valve* that needed replacing, everything else was fine. The valve was only a few hundred so Just Tankless saved me over a $1000, maybe more, since I was considering buying a brand new water heater.
I had to order the valve and overnight it, but the water heater was fixed in no time, thanks to Al. The parts that Clap Construction deemed defective actually weren't bad. Al told me that they were perfectly fine, he just told me they were bad to make some money off me.
Al is a professional in every sense of the word. He was knowledgeable, quick, efficient and on-time. He really saved us from being without hot water for days. I was very grateful to have found him especially after running into the scam artist from Clap Construction.
If you're having water heater problems, Al is your man, 100 percent.
Can't say enough good about Just Tankless.
Avoid Phillip at Clap Construction - HUGE red flags. Avoid them like the plague.
THANK YOU!!! We called on a Thursday when our water heater died, hoping for the best (and afraid we wouldn't have hot water until Monday. ) He came out after his last appointment for assessment, and completed most of the install to get us hot water that night, working until 7 PM. Further great service when he accommodated my schedule limits, and finished the electrical on Saturday morning. You are 'The Best'
We used Just Tankless to replace/upgrade our old Rinnai tankless water heater. Everything went smoothly - very responsive on setting up initial visit and providing quote, clearly explained and answered all our questions, and installation itself was done quickly with no issues.
We were very happy with the overall experience. What happened next, however, is what inspired me to write this review... Shortly after the installation, we found the water temperature in our showers was sometimes lukewarm rather than hot. Suspecting the water heater, we called Al to help us figure out what might be wrong. Al was able to quickly help us determine that the problem was not the water heater, but rather a cross leak somewhere else in our system (cold water getting mixed into the hot water line). Even though the water heater was not at fault, Al was super patient in walking us through several tests, making sure we performed them correctly, and then explaining them clearly till we understood what they each showed. Our leak is now fixed and our showers are hot again. It is truly wonderful to work with someone who not only does a good job, but is also patient and customer focused. We highly recommend Just Tankless!
Found them through the Noritz site after our 4 year old unit started throwing the ""internal leak"" error code. Contacted via email with the basics and was surprised to hear back they'd order the warranted part and would be able to install the next week. Came back a day after the part arrived and it was clear he knows his stuff. A little over an hour later the unit is repaired, descaled, and working perfectly again.
Definitely deserving a five start rating!
Very professional: Al provided a thorough explanation of the work to be done, an on-time next-day start, and hauled away the failing unit. The new install looks and operates great. I highly recommend Just Tankless.
Wow. Just got off the phone with Just Tankless, Al. I purchased a Rennai tankless and asked them to install it. Al would not install a product they did not sell to me. Oh, ok. I guess they wanted to extract there pound of flesh on the sale of the item.
Al said there would be a problem if the unit needed any warranty service, implying the warranty would be void. When I tried to explain how warranties work and it cannot be effected because they install the unit I realized all he was doing was fishing for a reason to decline the job.
Find another contractor.
Al saved the day and made our year! We unfortunately have a discontinued tankless water heater. The manufacturer is unfortunately no longer in business and parts are extremely scarce. In record time, Al tracked down the necessary part during his weekend and saved us thousands of $ by replacing a reasonably priced valve. Now my family can continue to fend off the replacement and my 3 year old could have a warm bath nights after it went on the blink! Thank you Al!!
Was having issues with a four year old Navian WH and had guest at my house. Called Al at 5:30 on a Sunday night and expected to set an appointment during the week. Lo and behold, he was at my door 20 minutes later (I know, I got lucky, but still...it was Sunday night 30 min before his posted hours ended!).
Checked out my WH and gave me the straight scoop. Likely not problem with the WH, but with one or more single arm valves in my house (e.g shower) in which the mixing cartridge or valves are failing. Gave me the skinny on how to diagnose myself so he didn't have to charge me for that piece.
Also pointed out some points of incorrect installation and walked me through the repair.
Then, took him out to my garage to an older Bosch AquaStar tankless that hasn't worked in 4 years. He told me he could fix it, but I would be better off taking it out to pasture and installing a point-of-service WH for my slop sink instead.
Really appreciate his honesty and not trying to up-sell me.
