This company preys on your lack of plumbing/electrical knowledge and will price gouge shamelessly. If they think they can milk you for more money they will absolutely try (they wanted $3K more than our next closest estimate for some basic work). Avoid if you can.
Customer service rep and manger were both extremely rude and condescending. They made it sound like they were doing me a favor when I called for a major leak in he basement: They gave a timeline of 72 hours and I was fortunate enough to find a company that could be and make the repairs in 2 hours .
Would certainly not call them again.

I bought their maintenance plan and they came out and did a through inspection. The guy that came today knows I am handy and can fix things so gave me a few tips on plumbing. They would have had 5 stars but they did not call me an set up my inspection after I bought the plan several months ago.
Still would recommend this company.
I hired this company to install a very high end Carrier smart system 2 years ago. There were 2 separate systems installed and it was a huge investment. We had many issues during the install process and have had many issues since that time. They damaged the upstairs floors by dragging the air handler. The coil on the upstairs unit was either damaged during shipping or install and needed replacement. The new supply duct in the crawl was damaged during install and needed to be repaired. Upon completion, I was disappointed when the system didn't perform as expected. I received the runaround that it was ""learning"" or there was a new update from the manufacturer, just give it time. This is their favorite response. Give it another week. During annual maintenance the following year I was advised that maybe there wasn't enough refrigerant added? After adding another pound of refrigerant, it was a little better, but the system just did not adequately perform. We had cooling issues and contacted them in mid June. It took several service calls for them to actually investigate and determine that the TXV had failed. We also had water damage on our ceiling across a hallway and bedroom due to incorrectly installed drain pan and air handler switches. We did not have air conditioning for 2 months this summer while waiting for them to resolve these issues.
Due to not receiving timely service during this time, we learned how to access the service menu of the thermostat ourselves. This is not something that is shown to the homeowner. We discovered lots of error codes related to excessive static pressure, as well as other issues. The excessive static pressure code is a warning from the system that there is not adequate air flow. This was due to not having adequate air returns when this system was installed. These codes were in the thermostat during our service appointments, but our tech did not advise of these concerns. I contacted the manufacturer, as well as a couple of other HVAC companies to determine what was causing all of these problems. It was determined that the air returns were not adequate for either system upstairs or downstairs.
We have major water damage on these two ceilings due to ongoing leaking. It was later discovered that the air handler was not properly leveled, this caused it to become waterlogged. The upstairs ducts were not also properly sealed and they used inadequate insulation which both of these issues created a condensation issue. They came to our home at least 6 times, but never addressed the core issues. It continued to leak over 2 months, so there is mold and dry wall damage that requires repair.
This was a significant investment and we trusted this company to advise of proper components and install an efficient system that would provide years of comfort. I have contacted them many times to address these concerns. They continue to deflect and avoid responsibility. Denying that these issues exist. They claim that it is a manufacturer issue. It is most definitely an installation issue due to lack of expertise and not correctly installing. The proof is very obvious. We now know what needs to be done to resolve. The system diagnoses itself and I have the water damage to reflect their negligence and incompetence. I have received unprofessional responses from Allen and Caleb during calls and emails. Do yourself a favor, do not hire this unprofessional, unknowledgeable company.
Boy these guys get better and better! I needed a plumber and went to Google and they came up and I forgot I had contacted them before and had left this prior review. He said I am on the do not service list because I left them a poor review. How's that for CustomerService? I was always told that you weren't judged by your mistakes, you're judged by how you recover from your mistakes. Just better doesn't give a damn, and they'd rather not do business and try to win someone back.
Very childish
I have used this company more times than I can count. They're always the perfect choice when needing any fixes to stubborn home fixes. They have done my sinks, toilets, HVAC system, water system, and helped with plenty of electrical work. They also have recommended so many products for my home that have made my life so much easier. I can't thank this company anymore. Y'all rock.
I have a whole house water filter and the filter needed to be replaced. I have been replacing the filter and O ring myself for years. I tried to loosen the filter canister but did not have enough strength to loosen it. I have been undergoing cancer treatment and I guess the last time I replaced the filter I tightened it too well! So I called Just Better plumbing and was told there would be a $49.50 dispatch fee. That sounded very reasonable. I had everything needed and it would take no longer than ten minutes. I scheduled the appointment. The technician arrived and I was informed that in addition to the $49.50 dispatch fee there would be a $186.00 hourly fee The technician was very nice and polite. He was strong enough to loosen the canister and did replace the filter and O ring. Then he said since I had paid for an hour he could do an inspection of the plumbing in the house. As I mentioned I am currently dealing with cancer and all I wanted was my filter changed and for him to leave. That was a very expense ten minutes! Needless to say I wish I had been informed of the actual charges up front!

They charged me a $50 estimate fee that was NOT disclosed ahead of time. Had I known, I would not have scheduled the estimate as I got 3 others without that fee.
On the undisclosed estimate fee alone, I declined to hire them. It makes me feel like they would slide other fees in that were not discussed ahead of time.
