I have used Juan and his services a couple times now. The first time was to install a backflow preventer on our property which he explained the entire process and made it as simple and straightforward as possible. The second time was to come in and do the yearly certification as required by EBMUD. The guy is very friendly, extremely honest, and accommodating. I wish there were other services he could provide because I would be sure to call him for it.

I have used Juan Rivera's Services for the past four years now to perform the mandatory annual back flow testing for my home in San Mateo Park. Each and every time I've contacted him via email he responds IMMEDIATELY and makes every effort to get me on the schedule and get the test done. Juan sets the day ... performs the test ... let's me know if I passed (only failed the test once and Juan remedy the problem and I passed the second time) and fills out the mandatory City form and submits it on my behalf. As far as I'm concerned Juan's company deserves 10 stars!!!

When I finally got a reminder and realized it was mandatory, even for my newly constructed house, I found Juan via Yelp and he was great. Prompt replies. Patient explanation. Juan is a rare find in this field of work--complete expert in backflow prevention, trustworthy, punctual, kind, considerate, and has impeccable follow-through. I received his info in a mailer and took a chance. Once he arrived (with his son, who is his business partner), he realized our permit # did not match the backflow paperwork and he handled the entire process, to correct this major issue, with the SF Public Utilities Commission, within 24 hours. He then sent me an email with the updated paperwork, the new information highlighted, and the changes explained in the email. He was also sure to clean the area surrounding our water pipes and was kind and professional throughout the time he worked in my home.
Juan is a professional with the highest integrity and with great expertise in his field. I have already contracted him to conduct my backflow procedure on an annual basis. I wanted to hire him to do other plumbing work, but he convinced me that backflow prevention is his only specialty. You would be lucky to hire Juan!
