I'm very disappointed with the service I've received since I purchased and had them install a new unit 2 yrs ago. It took them over 3 months to get the unit dialed in and working properly. The techs seem to through each other under the bus! I had to call them to ask why no one has called me to set up a maintenance appt, which is suppose to happen early spring and fall. She tells me that they don't do that on new units until around year 3....lies! Then I started having problems with the thermostat. Tech came out today had to get a new one and he had to temporarily fix it because something was installed incorrectly 2yrs ago. He's the one that told me that it doesn't matter how old the unit is. They should've called me...just as I thought. This is a joke. Spent so much $$$$$ on a new unit and it's been nothing but a headache with that and this company!

Again I am writing because I spend more time on the phone with this company for repairs. Horrible horrible horrible. My brand new unit that the owner sat in my house and promised was the best, has needed repairs because the part broke or the vibration pad was never installed or the parts left in the wall are rattling, etc. They have been out here at least 8 times to fix the problem. We have had to take numerous days off for these to take place. Only to say they need to come back with either more help or another part. Guess what...my unit isn't cooling the house yet again. Unfortunately, the owners word and hand shake mean absolutely nothing. Trust me and find a different company.

Don't use this company. We had them come for the ""$55 Heater Tune Up & Cleaning"". They said we had oil on the motor and suggested a new motor & capacitor for $1,242. We had them do it and instantly had a new noise/hum that we didn't have with the old motor. It was keeping us awake at night. They finally sent another technician who came, checked things out and said the new motor was working per manufacturers specs and said our ductwork was undersized. Our ductwork has been the same size for 23 years. We told this second technician the noise was the same, not acceptable, and he said he would refer it to someone else at the office and someone would get back to us. 3 weeks went by and we could not stand the noise any longer. We had another heating & air company come take a look and he found that JR Putman had installed a new 5MFD (microfarad) capacitor when the new motor called for a 15MFD capacitor. The second heating & air company installed the proper 15MFD capacitor and the noise/hum problem was immediately solved.

I called JR Putman for an estimate on a defective water shutoff valve. Anthony came out and gave me a bid which was similar to other bids I had received. He was very knowledgeable about the problem and how to fix it. He's very personable, punctual and he did an outstanding job I also had him replace the irrigation valve. Nicki kept me in the loop with parts and scheduling. A super team and I gave them 5 stars! Thank you

On 02/19 around 8:45am PST I called JR putman to request a technician because for emergency assistance with our hot water heater. I was told a technician would text me 30-45 min prior to arrival. I waited all day and received no status updates or ETA for their arrival. When i called back around 3:50pm PST, the dispatcher informed me they have my order request and someone would contact me. I let them know that we cannot use our gas hot water heater until we have someone inspect it. There was no urgency or priority given to my request nor received any communication telling me when they might arrive. I will not use this company ever again.

Josh was amazing when he came to service my sewer line. I did everything i could as a homeowner and needed that little bit of experience to show up and help out by tying it all together. Worth every penny! Excellent service with the person who took my call and the dispatchers that got me in the schedule. Haven't had this type of customer service in a long time, and I'm glad it still exists!!!

Putman installed our HVAC system and now they are providing semi-annual maintenance. Yesterday Jackie came out and serviced our heating system. She arrived on time, did a professional inspection, and politely went over her findings with us. Our system is still working fine but knowing that we are keeping it properly serviced provides peace of mind.

I've chose two stars for JR Putnam. Here is why:
1. Internal communication- It seems that there is little to no internal communication at JR Putnam. They contract some work out and there is no real communication between the ""designer"" on a remodel job and the people who execute the ""design"", I am using quotes around the word design because the person who came out to advise/consult on the job didn't take proper notes and caused a ton of additional miscommunication.
2. External communication- JR Putnam was poor at keeping me informed about when work was to take place and when parts would be delivered.
3. I had to call them back out to my house because my shower enclosure install was substandard (the finish work sucked) and they never completed the floor tile before installing my bathtub. I was doing the wainscoting behind my tub after they left and there was a huge hold in the floor...I could see dirt. Not up to code and not OK. I had to call and have them come back out to redo the substandard work.
4. Lengthy delays- In working on fixing the mistakes that were made, I experienced lengthy delays. I know part of this is supply chain, but I was not looped in about status...so I waited...and waited...and waited...
This was an easy job and could have been done efficiently in a sensible amount of time. The communication problems with this company are gargantuan. If you want to strongly advocate for yourself with a contractor and have a ton of time to wait, go with these guys. If you want a stress free, timely completion of a simple bathroom remodel, I suggest you go elsewhere. The finished product looks fine, but it was a huge hassle dealing with this company.

We had to replace a water heater in our rental unit. Had several people out to help with this operation because the unit they were replacing was so old, some creative thought had to go in to the process.
Every single person that came out to assist was prompt, kind, professional and operated with concern for our satisfaction.
Chris was the most recent to visit us in finishing the job (he had been in on the process from the beginning)
His thorough, thoughtful care in being sure we understood how our new water heater worked as well as fixing the water pressure in the shower (during the install process, some pebbles had come loose and lodged in the shower head) was a great way to finish off a job well done.
I appreciate the thoughtful thorough quality of work at JR Putman and will definitely call them for work on my own house when that time comes.
Start to finish - AWESOME

Zero stars, dishonest. Installed my HVAC unit wrong and now trying to charge me double to fix it properly...wont work with me on anything, just trying to price gouge. I would never use this company again! I recommended them to family and they tried to say there system was about to fail during an inspection and they need an entire new system...They of course got a second opinion and they did not need ANYTHING THEY QUOTED, BEWARE!!! sellin snake oil
