I called and requested the $69.00 Check and Charge Promotion, because my unit was blowing
warm air from the vents. The Service person arrived on time, but when I tried to explain what my problem was, he didn't pay any attention to me. He was focusing on reading to me from a notebook about their warranty plan for future problems. After reading to me from several pages of information, he finally allowed me to tell him my problems. I informed him that I was not interested in signing up for the protection plan that he outlined.
He then checked my unit, and said that I was 5 lbs low on my Freon, and that it would cost $100.00 per pound to refill the unit. Then he said that it would be approximately $1000.00
to look for, and repair the leak in the system, maybe more. I told him to forget it, and gave him my card for the 69.00 charge, he then informed me that the charge wasn't $69.00, but $79.00. I asked about the 2 lbs of Freon that came with the check, but I was ignored.
Stay away from the people, there are too many other HONEST Repairmen in the area.

My home air conditioning was one of the many that did not survive the last heat stroke here in the valley. I was able to call JR Putman and receive same day service. Not only did I receive a call from the company informing me when a technician was coming, but also from the technician himself. My technician Richie S. was wonderful. He quickly came in and diagnosed the problem, and was able to fix it on the spot in less than an hour. He even wore those little shoe covers to protect the floors. Richie explained everything he did in detail and made sure to explain all charges and the maintenance packages that JR Putman offers. I highly recommend JR Putnam for all your heating and air conditing needs. Fast, friendly and efficient service.

Can't get any cooperation on servicing unit that they installed - unanswered emails to customer service, phone calls not returned - Robert -service technician telling me he doesn't have patience for my questions and yelling at my wife on phone before hanging up. Spoke with Debbie operations mgr (other reviewers also know Debbie!). She would not discuss the lack of service, just wanted to put me back on their schedule. I told her about the report we received from a third party contractor (Jaguar Heat & Air) warning of improper installation -she said Jaguar is not reputable. It is obvious that all JRP wants is $600 for diagnostics while they tell me it's my fault. If you like this kind of service, go for it! If not, go somewhere else... I'll be warning all my real estate broker colleagues in the SAR to stay clear, and calling my old friend the building inspector to come have a look...

If you love your mother, keep JR Putman very far away from her.

We have been around, and around, and around with JR Putman. From day one we have had problems with the company and management; the service men have all been professional and polite, I have no complaints there.

However. When it comes to dealing with the company itself, the management and how they operate, it has been astonishingly difficult and frustrating.

Our problems started with replacing the instant heat tankless water heater that provided anything but instant heat. It seems the salesman was overly eager to make the sale and did not carefully consider the needs of our home and what would actually best meet our needs. In the end it took almost 10 months; literally dozens of phone calls, almost as many excuses, blame placed on the customer, judgemental comments about our ""lifestyle"" (we wanted to be able to take ""military"" type showers, etc.), arguing with us to the point where things escalated to nasty exchanges, including attempts to play my husband and me against each other (true, swear!) to get this problem corrected.

Finally a traditional tank water heater was installed in August 2016. The office of JR Putman has been unable to keep our records straight. We have been without hot water now for 5 days. Our initial phone call for service was momentarily interrupted because the records the management referenced still said we have a tankless unit; yep, after 10 months of nasty fighting about it.

A service man did make time to come look at the unit over the weekend; as the office had told us they do not have service techs on the weekend. I called them after I pulled out of my driveway, turned the corner, and what did I see....???? A JR Putman service van driving down the road. That is when the service guy became available. We got an entirely different story that time.

Currently this is day 5 with no hot water because they do not have the part in stock for a 10 month old water heater that is still under warranty. We were scheduled for yesterday. Then today for a time of 11:00-1:00. This morning at around 10:30 we called to confirm, and were told the technician was ""on his way to go get the part right now..."" Then around 1:00 we called again and were told he would be here in about an hour an a half because he needed to finish what he was doing, take his lunch, and GO GET THE PART.

It is now 2:30, and I really want to take a shower in my house, as opposed to my travel trailer. Thankfully we have that. OH!! I think he just pulled up.

This business has the worst customer service I have ever experienced. I called four weeks ago for service and Fremont. I suffered through the heat wave and was looking forward to my appointment today. I was unable to return a message to confirm at 12:30 because I was working so they cancelled my appointment which was scheduled between 2 and 5. I called them at 2:15 and they told me they couldn't make it out today. When I said I would go elsewhere they okay, whatever. They don't even deserve one star!!

Have to say thank you to this company from the first phone call to them to the repair. Imagine having the A/C quit on 100+ heat for your parents who are 85 & 90 with one having some health issues happening. JR Putnam took the issue seriously, found someone to get out there quickly along with the technician having the parts needed to make repairs. That is prepared and good customer service. I would not hesitate to refer anyone to this company and will keep them in mind for any work we might need. Thank you!

My A/C went out when it was 109 degrees out. Called JR Putnam and they could not make it for two days to due to the amount of calls for service. I was able to get an appointment through Gilmore heating and air, big mistake. Their technician came out and replaced a bad capacitor and two fuses. After wiring the capacitor the fan spun backwards. He told me I needed a new fan motor. I asked him to rewire the capacitor because I had never heard of a fan spontaneously reversing. He did and made it seem as though it was bad. I had them order a new fan. I then had a Gilmore sales consultant give me a bid for a new system. Glimore did not bother to even go over finance options. I had also called JR Putnam and had them come and give me a bid. Not only did Brandon Brissette give me a good bid, he went over finance options, and rebates that I might be eligible for. Then I asked him to contact a technician about the issue with the fan motor. Neither Brandon or the tech had ever heard of such a thing. Brandon, a former technician, rewired the capacitor at no charge and the fan works perfectly. As soon as I can manage it, I will be having them do my entire house upgrade. He saved me almost $700.00, when he could have just had a service guy come out.

I can't believe how great their service is to their clients! I'm sure that they are currently inundated with AC repair calls. They were especially kind and understanding on the phone too. We called JR putman to scheduled for a AC tune up, and we were scheduled for 2 weeks later.
one day before the scheduled day, they called us and said they won't come because it is only a tune up. however, they would come if we pay more for a diagnostics.
very unprofessional and unethical.
