Frank and Alex have been here for faucet problems, sump pumps, and sink disposals. They also do yearly backflow checks. Highly recommended.

HORRIBLE experience. TO ANYBODY READING THIS, this review is surprisingly 100% accurate. If I could leave 0 stars, I would, but unfortunately it's not an option.

Where do I start? We hired JR Plumbing to come repair a leaking toilet and fix the heating system which was making a rattling noise. We were about to sell our home so the upcoming inspection was important! Guy shows up with literally no tools and spent about a total of 9 minutes in in our home.. The plumbing job was to replace the toilet seal, the most rudimentary plumbing repair in all of plumbing in my opinion. (Spoiler alert, the toilet is still leaking, even as I write this review) The HVAC job was to quiet the noisy furnace. Dude actually listened to the heater and then just looked at me and said ""well it sounds like you have a noise there."" Then instead of going to his truck/car to grab the appropriate tools to complete the job (as I would have expected), he asked if I had tools he could borrow MY tools!

Long story short, nothing was fixed. And that was the extent of his ""expert"" help.

We got charged $160 for two items that needed repair and they're LITERALLY in the exact same condition as they were prior to their visit.

**WHEN WE CALLED TO COMPLAIN, we were informed it was the OWNER of the company who ""attempted"" to make the repairs.

Great service and at an excellent price. We have a second home and we were out of state, they were recommended to us very highly and they came in quickly and efficiently and handled our emergency with solid professionalism, and they put us at ease right away and solved our problem. Highly recommended!

A neighbor highly recommended JR Plumbing and we prefer to use local people/ companies for work in our home. Last Friday, when the line to our dishwasher burst, and we awoke to water pouring outside our home (through our kitchen wall) and down into our crawl space, we shut the water off to the kitchen sink and immediately called them. They were very responsive and said Frank would be over that afternoon. Then Frank called back and explained he had other emergencies that day and 2 furnaces to install, so we told him no problem, we could wait and more than understood. The weather was causing other customers bigger issues. We told Frank we were not in a crisis and could live without hot water in our kitchen. Our biggest concern was getting at the water damage and assessing the threat of mold. We could only get to the crawl space below our kitchen to clean up the flooding, but the source of the burst pipe and the flooding in our kitchen was inaccessible to us. Frank said he would come out the following day (Saturday) and said his arrival time depended on when he woke up, because he expected to be up all night working. Again, we understood and said that was absolutely fine. We then waited around the house all day Saturday. Frank did not call and did not show. We called and left a message for him early evening on Saturday, asking for an appointment time for Monday. It is now Monday at 3pm. Frank still has not called. Now I am starting over, calling other companies.

I am not sure what kind of work Frank does or how he treats his regular customers, I can only speak to my experience as a new customer. Because he disappeared on us, I do not recommend. It is 4 days later and we have no hot water to our kitchen sink, no idea what we are dealing with in terms of water damage and mold, and I am calling new plumbers to set up an appointment. I wish Frank simply would have told us upfront he was not interested.

I have never posted a bad review before. Frank Rosch, owner has lost any trust. The few positive reviews posted must be from relatives.
He made promises to get the business, but didn't deliver on them. He cut corners on product and quality installation. Very dissatisfied. Gave him an honest chance to make things right, but all I got were excuses. Do not
recommend.

Our furnace went out on a cold night. When I called JR Plumbing, Frank answered immediately and agreed to come out first thing the next morning. When he got to the house, he braved our disgusting crawl space where the furnace is located, diagnosed and fixed the problem in about 10 minutes, and gave me very specific advice on how to prevent it from happening again. While he did have to charge for a service call, the part was free under warranty. I could not be happier!! Also, Frank is super nice, which always helps when you're cold and worried :-)

JR's was the default installer for the hot water tank we bought from Soukup's Hardware in Glen Ellyn. The install was flawless and the price was less than we expected. Several years later, when we experienced a slow drip from the temperature/pressure release valve, Frank from JR's promptly returned my call and replaced the part within 24 hours. Excellent service. (The part was covered under warranty and replaced without hesitation by Soukup's. We highly recommend them, too!)
