Great plumbers, lousy bookkeepers. In the years we have lived in Astoria, we have needed plumbing services several times for our 80-year-old house. We have used others, but Jp provided the best service, so they have been our go-to company. Unfortunately, they have overcharged us for the labor several times, claiming hours that did not coincide with our records. They corrected the over-charge, each time, but with our last job they told us not to call them for service ever again. I was greatly disappointed in this failure of customer service. I have recommended them to many of my friends and neighbors, in the past, but will not do so in the future. This is not the way to run a business.

I had a horrific plumbing issue arise and as I had never had the need for a plumber before I asked a neighbor for a recommendation without a moments hesitation she said JP Plumbing. I called right away explained my dilemma and although they were very busy with customers so soon after the holidays especially, within 20 minutes he had one of his workers show up at my front door and within 30 minutes they had the problem located and resolved. It really meant a lot to me to have someone caring and concerned about my situation. I will never recommend any other plumber to anyone I know. JP Plumbing is the best!

Called them twice asking them to get us on the schedule for a bathroom remodel quote and they claimed they would call us back both times then continued to blow us off. Not cool. Went with another company.

We hired them to help us install a new garbage disposal and water filter-- a deceptively easy project, but we suspected it would become a larger job... It was! They helped us correct underlying issues and prevent future problems. Everything works perfectly & I would hire them again in a heartbeat.

A few months ago I needed to replace a broken water valve. Jp's stayed open so I could come pick it up and get the water at the house back on. Wow, that's not just good customer service.. They are just good human beings.

Second time around, I was troubleshooting a water leak and got to talk shop with two of the plumbers there. I bought the (cheap) parts I needed and had my toilet fixed in no time.

Sears highly recommended them for installing a water heater. We called and he first said we should just do it ourselves, and then said they charge $85/ hour for the drive, saying it would be 1 1/2 hours each way. Really? Astoria to Seaside is only 20 miles.

The charged me an hours drive time plus another hour for the work, they never told me I had to pay an hour drive to for a 12 minute hop to my place, I had a PVC pipe that needed to be reglued, 2 hours they charged total, I called and asked if they had a 2 hour minimum they said NO but they charged an hour to drive to my house from 12 minutes away plus an hour for the glue job, I will never use them again nor do I suggest anybody else to use them with there hidden fees
