We had them replace a toilet. The work was fine, but they charged $1000 for the job. We looked it and and found out the toilet cost $300. So we paid $700 for an hour of labor. I'm fine with paying a premium for quality work, but $700/hr is a rip-off. Recommend avoiding these people until they start charging a more reasonable fee.

Third time I've used the company and I've been very satisfied each time. Came out same day to do a dishwashing machine install that Home Depot's contractors refused do. Machine wasn't quite running correctly at the end of the day, so he came back first thing in the morning, even though he had a full schedule, to make sure it was running for us.

If you use them, make sure they are authorized to do repairs on the unit they install. I got a Rudd water heater in June of this year and it is currently broken. They say they cannot fix it because they are not authorized for the unit they sold me! Use Caution.

We had two issues we were hoping to resolve, our toilet was running, and we wanted to correct the heat output of our water heater. The plumber arrives early (which is great), goes to look at the water heater, and two minutes later comes up tells me I need to replace it, replace some valves, and gives me a receipt (not a quote!) expecting me to pay for it right away (not great). No quote, no options, no valid explanations besides ""it's old"". I said no thanks, and to please give me a quote so I can think about it. Then he goes to the bathroom to check the toilet, looks at the tank and tells me that I need to replace the valve and the flapper, which is fine, but then he says ""since you're already paying for this, you might as well get a whole new toilet"". Excuse me? No thank you. I'm not looking to remodel now. I asked him to just replace the valve and flapper. After he finishes, he asks me to come back upstairs and strongly recommends I get a new toiled because ""it's a little wobbly"". Finally, after navigating his condescension, i was able to pay and get him to go away.

After he left I went to check the bathroom again and noticed that he did not clean up the foot prints he left on the floor, and the black stains and finger prints he left on the toilet. Yikes.

So no, I didn't appreciate the pushy salesperson that came in to meet his monthly quota or whatever. And I REALLY didn't appreciate having to clean up after him.

At least my toilet isn't running anymore.

Flexible, timely, honest. Thank you for helping us out at our rental unit, especially with explaining the diagnosis over the phone, pictures and all.

Bottom line: Immediate, professional service from a local company.

I called JP Plumbing to have my garbage disposal replaced. The person who answered the phone sounded like a calling company and said they'd leave a message. I got a call back within fifteen minutes from the plumber, Jim, who said he could be at my house and replace the disposal within two hours. He advised me of an $85 trip fee, which I agreed to.

He showed up an hour after that call. After he looked at my disposal, he said he could replace it then, gave me a quote, and then got started after I agreed to the price. He finished within the hour.

While he was working on my disposal, we talked a bit - it turns out Jim is actually the owner of the company, and his son works for it too. The service was extremely quick, he did a good job, and I personally prefer giving business to local companies. I was satisfied and will likely use this company in the future.

I have used JP for many years. He is prompt and to me this is more important than anything else. Had an emergency today and was here in under one hour. It's worth a little more to me knowing that when JP says he is coming right away he means it

This place is a rip off. We were quoted $89 for them to come out and diagnose the cause of what appeared to be a water spot on our basement ceiling. From our previous experience with other plumbers and leaks, we expected that cutting into the drywall to assess the situation would be covered by this fee. However, it was not and we were charged close to $200 for a diagnosis and less than an hour visit. After a follow up phone call I was told that the $89 only covered what could be assessed visually and to make 3 5-6"" circular cuts in the drywall costed an additional hundred dollars! Absolutely ridiculous!

I called them yesterday afternoon regarding a leaky toilet, Jim came out first thing today and was prompt, professional and took care of things pretty quickly. I would refer them with no hesitation.

Absolutely outrageous prices. Jim came out to give to give a quote on various small plumbing issues. They were referred to us by Home Advisor. They quoted $754 to replace a faucet! To pull and reset the toilet was going to be $210 among other outrageous quotes. Same work completed by another Annapolis company for about $350. Both JP Plumbing and Home Advisor get a thumbs down.
