We had a furnace that quit working last year. It happened the Sunday of Thanksgiving week. They sent someone out Monday after called. I had a replacement in Tuesday afternoon. Very affordable and professional. I would highly recommend them.

JP Plumbing & Heating, Inc. is a fantastic group of professionals that are prompt and reliable. I had a central air conditioning system that had a bad capacitor and their Tech, Dylan, replaced the capacitor and even cleaned the interior of the old air conditioner and the result was amazingly better performance of the 20 year old air conditioner. JP Plumbing and Heating emailed me an invoice and DID NOT overcharge me on the price of the capacitor and the labor was truly reasonable. The horror stories of companies sending techs to convince you the entire air conditioning system needs to be replaced, and sell $60 capacitors for $500 and up, is NOT how they operate. When you need service you can TRUST, JP Plumbing and Heating is should be your first choice. I don't often take the time to write reviews, but I know there are those out there who fear pushy salespersons/techs charging a fortune for a capacitor or try to convince you the whole system needed to be replaced.

TL/DR Review: JP Plumbing & Heating is fantastic! They are actually willing to fix you furnace, or air conditioner, instead of just trying to sell you a new one. That can mean the difference between spending a few hundred dollars on a repair, or spending several thousand dollars on a whole new HVAC system.

Unabridged Review:

In order to understand what makes JP so special, you need to know a little about how the HVAC business works. Imagine if every auto mechanic primarily worked on one or two types of cars, but they didn't have a sign out front telling you which types they worked on. So, if you bring your Honda to a mechanic who works on Honda and Acura, he'll have all sorts of parts in stock, and he'll fix your Honda. If you bring that Honda to a mechanic who works on Toyota and Lexus, that mechanic has a choice. He can either order parts and try to fix a car he's not used to working on, or he can tell you your Honda is in bad enough shape that it's not worth fixing. Then, he can sell you a Toyota, make a lot more money on the sale in a lot less time than it would have taken to fix your Honda, and also make it so it's easier for him to fix your car next time.

That's exactly how most HVAC companies work. If your system is made by York, and the company you call primarily sells Goodman and Trane, they're typically not going to order a York part for an HVAC unit they don't typically work on, and then have you get angry it's taking so long for the part to get there, when they can make a lot more money selling you a new Goodman or Trane furnace and condenser that they will always have parts for. I don't blame them. I understand why they do it. I just don't want to pay $6,000 for a new HVAC unit when I could have paid $300 for someone to diagnose the problem, and replace a part that probably costs $25-$50.

That's where JP Plumbing & Heating comes in. My wife first discovered them after one HVAC company had told me my problem was my thermostat (it wasn't), and quoted me something like $1,200 for a new thermostat, three new filters, and way more labor than a thermostat requires. Then, another company told me my entire HVAC system needed to be replaced. JP sent a tech out. He examined the furnace, and determined that the flame sensors were malfunctioning because they were covered in rust. He spent a couple hours scraping the rust off, and the flame sensors have worked great ever since. This was two or three years ago.

We called JP again this past Wednesday afternoon, because the furnace kept kicking on and off randomly. We figured the flame sensors might have rusted again. JP sent a technician out early the next morning (yesterday). He determined that the problem was a broken pressure switch, and he had it fixed in probably less than an hour.

So, I have called JP for two separate things, and they were able to fix those things both times, instead of selling me a new HVAC unit.

If you want to spend thousands of dollars on a new HVAC set-up, then definitely do that, but don't spend thousands of dollars on a new unit because you called the wrong HVAC repair company. Call JP instead.

Outrageously over priced for unfinished work. Had to have another plumber fix what they couldn't. $350 to snake my floor drain?! Ken Way fixed it and snaked the outside pipe as well for $88. Do NOT use this company. They will break things and leave it unfinished, then charge you an absurd amount of money. I'm not paying.

We wouldn't call any other service. They are prompt, courteous and they answer questions. They are upfront with their rates and pricing. I would also add the office staff is a joy to deal with. We would highly recommend them!

Look no further if you need an experienced, honest plumber in Marion and CR corridor than asking for Nick with PJ Plumbling. Their customer representatives were nice enough to send him my way when he returned from another job site. Nick replaced the rotten galvanized pipe underneath the kitchen sink professionally and swiftly. I'd definitely recommend him to family and friends.
Thanks
Moe

I had an appt scheduled for 10/29. at 2:40pm on the 29th I recieved an email, not a cal, that they could not get to me on that day. I called and asked if they would come on the 30th and was told they were booked up, they had been very busy with emergencies. Even though I had an appt they were not willing to put me into their list for the next day. I should have walked away instead I rescheduled for 8:00am on the 31st. At 8:45 I called to ask where they were and was told he had left their shop 15 mins previous and should be there any min. I only live 8 mins from their shop. At 9:05 I called and cancelled the appt as he still had not shown up they said ok and hung up. I then received an email from them stating that they had an emergency and the tech on my job had been sent to that emergency without their knowledge, that my call was less important than an emergency. While I get that, I also had been waiting since the 29th for them to come out and without any calls or warning they cancelled both times. If you don't care about getting the run around feel free to use these guys otherwise steer clear

We had J & P Plumbing out to install a new hot water boiler. They ordered everything, came and did a fantastic job in making sure we had heat. Robert worked late in the evenings for almost a week getting the water to flow through the baseboards.
A week later we decided to call them and have them install an on demand hot water heater. Again they worked long and hard getting that installed. The first month our budget billing went from $250.00 a month to $120.00 a month. Amazing !! We are so happy with them. By the way, this was 2016, and we haven't had any problems. We did have them come and do a check up 1 year later, and systems were great. I recommend them whenever I'm asked.

We had a horrendous experience with JP Plumbing and Heating. Please be weary of their service. They do not stand behind their work. We had a Liberty submersible primary sump pump model 237, a secondary Liberty water powered back up pump model SJ10A and a Liberty ALM series alarm installed as a preventative measure on 6/14/2018. The sump pump, secondary water powered back up and alarm were all installed incorrectly by Nick. We were unaware that it was not working properly until we had a rainstorm and checked more than a week later on 6/29/18 to find standing water in our pit. We called JP Plumbing and Heating on 6/29/18 and explained the situation and they sent Joe out at around 6pm who said that the root cause of the primary pump not working was a rock that was blocking the float on the primary pump. He turned off the backup pumps water supply and after a few cycles of the primary pump running correctly he left and said that Nick would come out on Monday 7/2/18 to fix the backup pump. We told Joe that we had water damage in the basement when the pump was not working, he was disinterested and paid no attention to the comment. On 7/1/18 we arrived home at 7:30 pm to find the pit full of water and the primary pump not working once again. We placed a call to JP Plumbing and Heating leaving a message of the situation. On 7/2/18 Clint arrived around 9am and said that the sump pump, secondary backup pump and alarm were all installed incorrectly and proceeded to uninstall and rotate the primary and secondary pump to reinstall, and also installed the alarm correctly. The pumps were installed so that the float was located close to the sump pits wall causing the float to get stuck and not rising up and turning the pump on. This was the issue on the primary and secondary sump pumps. The alarm float was installed incorrectly so that the siren would have never gone off if it was flooded. After Clint's visit it was finally fixed but not after damage had been done by standing water under and around our foundation. We also told Clint that we had water damage in the basement due to the pump not working, he was also disinterested and paid no attention to the comment. Due to the primary pump, secondary pump and alarm being installed incorrectly we found a huge crack in our cement floor foundation that reaches to the very top of the cement wall that has left significant water damage in our basement. In our year and a half of owning the home and the previous owners 10 year occupancy we have NEVER had an issue with any water leakage in our basement. After many attempts we finally reached Jed, the owner on 7/10/18 who admitted the primary pump, secondary pump and alarm was installed incorrectly and he was confident that now that it was fixed we would have no more water leakage but to keep an eye on it and call if problems persisted. We called Jed again after a heavy rain on 7/24/18 to say that we did in-fact have more water damage but he would take no responsibility for the damage it had created and was unwilling to even come take a look or compensate us for the damages. We again called on 8/13/18 to explain that we again had water damage in the basement after a heavy rain and we needed to rectify this situation and Jed once again was unwilling to take responsibility for the damage caused by the primary sump pump, secondary pump and alarm being installed incorrectly by his company. Please be aware that this company does not stand behind their work and is unwilling to right a huge wrong.
