Firstly, I am not affiliated with Jp Mulvey in any way...this is a valid first-experience customer review. I searched Yelp for a reliable plumber in a time of need and landed on Jp Mulvey.

I would highly recommend Jp Mulvey to anyone that needs plumbing services. Called another company first and was told they could be there next day (before I read their Yelp reviews). I called them and cancelled then called Jp Mulvey. Was greeting with courtesy, told me they'd have a tech out later same day and received a call 1.5 hours later that the tech would arrive in 10 mins. I was also quoted a first visit hourly fee that was $100 less than the previous company. Our plumbing tech, Drew M. was friendly, thorough and extremely skilled and knowledgable. He identified the problem and gave us multiple options in a clear, direct and cost-conscious way. We received good work at a fair price. I'd trust Jp Mulvey for all my future plumbing needs. Ask for Drew M. if you're looking for a excellent plumber and very nice person.

Memorial Day weekend -- we had water literally pouring into the living room, bucketsful!, and continually every time it rains, from what we were told was a clogged roof drain that needed a plumber. Mulvey said ""We will be there to scope out the job on 7/10 between 10 & 2"". JULY 10th! SEVEN AND A HALF WEEKS LATER. Not even to do the work. Explained emergency level of the issue and asked if there was anything sooner. NOPE. Called North Sea Plumbing, on a Sunday. They called back 10 minutes later, were at our door first thing Monday. 1 star because you HAVE TO to write a review...

We had no heat or hot water due to a problem with our Navien system. We
have used Mulvey on other occasions with great results so they came on Sunday and again early this morning with the parts needed.
Drew worked until he found the problem. Everyone at Mulvey is so courteous and helpful. We would never call another plumber.

Have not had a plumbing need in 20 +/- years but had always used J P Mulvey. Called them with an emergency repair at about 10am on a Tuesday morning, repair was successfully completed by 1:30pm the same day! Much better than 5 stars!!!

I called them to repair a hot-water line not working. Two men show up. They check pipes in the second floor and come to a conclusion a pipe is frozen. I show them a hatch that leeds to a crawl space,  their are pipes down their. They say no the problem is wind blowing through the rafters, freezing the pipe. I tell them I had all the pipes insulated when the house was built. Been here twenty years never had a frozen pipe, even in colder winters.  They spend two hours with an ice melting  machine and tell me they can't clear the ice, I should cut openings the the garage ceiling to allow warm air in to melt the the frozen pipe.
After two days waiting for the melt, which never came, an electrician comes bye. I ask him to look in the crawl space, he comes out and says the hot water valve was turned off, all fixed.
Mulvey is sending out unskilled people never schooled in what they are doing.
Was charged $500.00 plus dollars.
A word to the wise, go somewhere else...

I had to call this firm twice this winter because I had breaks in my heating system. In as much as I have experience in architecture and estimating, I estimated their bill with their hourly rate, material and Profit and Overhead at half what they charged me on both occasions. This is called gouging the customer.
