This is second time this company has sent josh the plumber to my home and both times he was rude and very unprofessional. Back in 2019 he lied about replacing all parts in tiolet only to find out today old parts are still there causing same problem. Called me a liar on two separate occasions today at which time I told him to leave my home. This young man has some serious issues going on with him and needs to be terminated from his job! I have asked American Home Shield to remove this company from the list.
Josh came to my home this morning to unclog two stoppages-- my bathroom sink and shower. He was successful in clearing out both; but caused another drastic problem in my kitchen sink. While he was on the premises I advised him there was a problem in the kitchen. He called AHS and advised AHS that he had other appointments. I also called AHS and they were willing to allow the job to be completed but because the plumber on site was not available, another ticket had to be opened and another fee had to be paid.
Joy Plumbing did not complete the job. Before you leave the job site it is your duty to make sure all parts are functioning correctly. That is good ethical practices.
Another plumbing company came, cleared out the sink, checked to make sure water was running freely in all sinks, tubs, and showers before he left. It took him 20 minutes to do the job.
I will never use Joy Plumbing again!!
Had the opportunity to use this company twice. Always found them to be one time, honest and fair priced. They are a small company, but definitely worth looking at!
Nicole J.Josh was the best!! He was on time, polite and very professional. He even remained professional when my two little dogs tried to rip him apart. I was doubtful at first because I sometimes feel like companies try to rip the consumer off, but Josh eased my mind. I didn't know what needed to be done, I had only known that a plumber was needed. He assessed the situation and handled it like a pro. He stayed for 2 hours just going over everything to make sure the problem was rectified. He came, he saw, he conquered LOL. Oh he cleaned up like a pro as well even requesting the vacuum cleaner. I would like to request this company to handle my next service call but unfortunately AHS doesn't work like that.
Travis showed up to my house same day. Repaired my shower stem and hose bib that another company said wasn't fixable. I'm so grateful to Travis and Joy Plumbing for their professionalism, honesty and quick response!Thank You!
Very dissatisfied with the professionalism and work ethic! We had to ask the technician to wear booties to protect the white carpet; he asked for plastic gloves to work with and then asked for more gloves to take with him. Most importantly, he checked some plumbing that is still having issues but according to the home warranty provider, the technician said that he never checked those particular items.
We had some blockage that was preventing the toilet and tub from draining. They said it wasn't the vent stack and that they had to pull the toilet and snake it. They charged me 550 for that and two weeks later it was all backed up again. I called them at least 5 times and never got an answer. I left voicemails but they never called back. They must've completely avoided my number since they knew they services my house. So I called Michael and Son and they came out quick, said it was the vent stack, got on the roof and cleared it within an hour and charged me less than 200. Everything works perfect now. DO NOT HIRE THIS COMPANY!!
I used Joy Plumbing (through American Home Shield) in Nov of 2015. The plumber seemed great, came and fixed my garbage disposal, pleasant, professional, etc. Slightly over a year later the garbage disposal develops a leak (these are under 3 year warranty). I canceled AHS, because there service is THE WORST...so called Joy Plumbing directly and ask them to come out and take a look - no response -called again - no response, called a 3rd time and same outcome NO RESPONSE. So called a different plumber, replaced Joy's ""shotty work"" (direct quote from new plumber) and still to this day (3 weeks later) no call back. If you could even get in touch with them - i still urge you to use someone else, because thier work is sub-par and if anything goes wrong you will never get them back out there, -Stacy

Thank-you so much for sending your plumber,Josh N,to our house today. Josh came in with the right equipment and immediately proceeded to work. He used 100 feet of snake to clean out the main trap, which was stopped up with a foul smelling grey substance, with the consistency of cement. It took a while. but with old cloth towels and paper towels, he cleaned up that foul smelling mess, washed off his equipment, tested the main trap for leaks and was gone!!! Mr. Travis, give this young man some incentive to stay with the company!!! Now the wife is happy and I'm happy!!!

Late last night, my heat went out and when I went to check the furnace, I discovered that my basement had flooded due to a faulty sump pump. After many calls to expensive emergency services that couldn't do anything at the time, I just went to bed. I didn't even remember until this morning that the sump pump was covered through my home warranty company. So I called them and they sent an emergency service request to Joy Plumbing and they responded in minutes! A man called and said they could have someone come out today between 3-5pm. Well at this point it was 9:30am and I was disappointed that I couldn't be serviced sooner, yet I understood. The thing was, I really needed them to come ASAP to fix the sump pump in order for another company to be able to come and extract the water. So, I called the warranty company asking them to find me another plumbing company and they informed me that it was against policy to do that (they had fulfilled my contract by providing ""same day service"" regardless of the time frame). I then called Joy Plumbing expressing my frustration and dilemma. You see, not only had my basement flooded but my pilot light had blown as well and therefore I was in the house freezing without any heat. And guess what, the HVAC company wouldn't come service the unit with all the water surrounding it... I completely understood that all the plumbers were already out on jobs, but I just needed to vent. The guy actually empathized with me and said ""Well, let me see if I can get someone to cover my shift and I'll come take care of it myself"" My jaw dropped!! I told him I'd greatly appreciate it and to give me a call back if he could. In the meantime, I called to schedule the other needed companies after this 3-5pm window. They all lined up perfectly and it was at that moment that I realized that I just had to be patient.... Around 11am, I decided to call the plumber back and told him not to rearrange his schedule and that this afternoon would be fine. His response was ""Nope, I'll be there in an hour!"" And guess what, he was! I was so excited. He showed up with his boots and ready to go to work in my basement ""pool"". He was very pleasant, courteous, knowledgeable and actually took the time to explain every option, scenario and detail of what could/should be done. I was very impressed! His phone was constantly ringing so I assumed that no one could cover his shift and therefore had the calls forwarded to a cell phone. Even withthe non-stop calls, he never missed a beat! As he worked, he continue to politely schedule other appointments as well as answer many question from other clients. I was truly amazed! I later found out that this guy wasn't just a tech on desk duty. He was the owner!! I couldn't express my gratitude enough. Since he was able to get to me sooner, so were the other companies. I now have heat and my basement is drying.
