Can't say enough about every worker that have been here from JoVan & Sons. They replaced the hot water heater that had literally burst and then the next time we had an issue, they came over right away to check out and diagnosed a plumbing/septic issue.

Feel free to ask them questions. I was not ""dismissed"" when I asked what were basic queries to them and they were also very considerate and polite.

I was a loyal customer for over 20 years, but since joe SR retired the company's customer service has declined to a point where they will never darken my doorstep ever again. almost 2 years ago I scheduled an annual boiler cleaning and preventative maintenance. they came on the wrong day and I had to leave for work. so I told them I'd call in the morning and settle the bill. the 2 men said the people in the office said that was no good and left without doing the work. remember I'm a customer for over 20 years and have always paid my bill. this included 2 well pump over the years totaling thousands of dollars. and they were a sub contractor for a second story addition to my house also in the thousands of dollars.

I didn't have them come back for almost 2 years, but then had an emergency so I called them and they fixed the problem.

fast forward a month or so and I had another problem so I called. the person on the phone said tomorrow (sunday) a service call would be $187, so I booked it. a little while later he called me back and said the owner Joe jr said it would be $250 for a weekend call and although it seemed to me I was being punished for that 2 year period of not using them, i kept the scheduled appointment. it may have been the guy just got it wrong, but I'm not convinced of that.

when I got home from work things seemed to be better with my boiler and called them and rescheduled the appointment for that Monday A non weekend day.

THEY NEVER SHOWED AND NEVER CALLED.

I will freeze to death before I ever call them again.


I will say the quality of their work over the course of the 20+ years is top notch, but that is only part of why I give companies my money. don't treat me like I'm gum to be scraped off the bottom of your shoe.

we bought a house in the town of Poughkeepsie. Jovan plumbing did the work in renovating and installing the plumbing drains and fixtures . we moved in and immediately noticed 2 of the toilets were not shimmed. we had a licensed plumber come out replace the wax seals and shim the toilets. the leak continued. the ceiling had to be opened up where we found the drain pipes were pitched the wrong way. 1600 dollars to repair it. 240 dollars to reseat the toilets. we called jovan first and they wanted to charge us a service call to look at their shoddy work

The guys at JoVan have done 3 jobs on my condo since I moved in four years ago: replaced a tankless water heater, replaced a toilet, put in a new central air conditioner. Couldn't be happier with the service -- the AC was especially well done since it happened the summer of 2021 when parts were scarce. They sent a crew of four guys and they had the job done in less time than they estimated.

Oh My Gosh we are so glad that we found this Company. We hired them to install a boiler and to install all new water lines. A very professional team with over 30 years of experience and it shows in their work. The work was done timely and right the first time and Passed All Inspections. Highly recommend to call them first if you want it done right the first time.
