They apparently have ONE plumber named Ben and it seems he works when he wants to work. Multiple time he failed to call or show up to fix a leak in my toilet that he failed to fix properly the first time. I would NEVER recommend this company to anyone, including my worst enemy!!!

Based on other reviews, looks like I dodged a bullet. I too have Home Choice Warranty and they sent Joseph's to my house. The 'young man' you all speak of is named Ben. He showed up with a woman (who looked like she was dressed up to attend a rave) and he looked at the shower ( was leaking). Nice kid, but I wasn't convinced he really knew what he was talking about. We decided it needed a whole new faucet and in order to do that they would have to cut through my kitchen cabinet. I was fine with this as it is the only way to access the faucet. He asked me to clean out my cabinet (Lazy Susan) and send a picture he could send to the warranty company.

The job was approved on approximately February 14th. Joseph and I went back and forth on dates which had to change a couple times. Ben was scheduled to come out on March 3rd. That morning I got a call from Joseph saying Ben was sick and was at urgent care. He would call me later to let me know if Ben would be coming. No call. Joseph did call the next day asking if we could reschedule to Friday. I said yes. I texted Joseph on Friday around noon asking what time Ben would arrive. Joseph called an hour later saying Ben was still sick and if we would be available the next day (Saturday). Because it had been nearly a month since I opened my claim, I wanted this fixed. I said yes, but wanted a specific time. Joseph told me 10:30am. I said perfect. We waited until 11am with no one showing up. I sent a text to Ben to let him know to turn around if he is on his way. We will no longer be using their services (I also sent a message to Joseph with no response). Ben wanted to know why because he was still planning to come and Joseph never told him to be at our house at 10:30am. In one of my texts I told Ben I hoped he was feeling better, to which he said he wasn't sick that past Monday.

I called my Warranty Company to say I WILL NEVER use this company again and that I wanted to pick my own plumber - to which they said yes.

I am still sitting with 5 bags of food in the middle of my kitchen from cleaning out my Lazy Susan. New plumber is actively working on my issue.

Best of luck to anyone who uses this company!

Joseph Plumbing was sent to my home by my home warrant company. They replaced a faucet. After the replacement, I noticed a leak which caused damage to my vanity. I spoke with Joseph Farat, the owner, about paying for the damag, but he kept making excuses. Now he will not respond to phone calls. I highly Do not recommend this company.

I had a gas leak behind the wall in my kitchen. the repair was covered through my home warrant policy who contacted Joseph's Drain Cleaning. Ben, the technician was on time and very quickly found the leaky pipe and repaired it. there was a minimum of mess and all my questions were answered politely and completely. I was very happy with the service I got

Had a plumber come out a couple weeks back to fix a shut off valve that didn't work. He was a real nice kid. The issue just ended up coming back again. Our shut off valve worked for about 2 days and then started to let water through the pipe again.

I called the number for Joseph's for 2 weeks and left many voicemails with no response. There is zero contact to be made with this company after they come out and ""fix"" the issue. If you can't answer the phone or listen to voicemails, I'm just going to find a different company that will actually fix my piping. I couldn't tell you what his prices are like, we used a home warranty. I would not recommend Joseph's drain cleaning.

Probably shooting myself in the foot here, but I was less than pleased with the ""service"" today, which consisted of less than 10 minutes to be told the job couldn't be done because Choice Home Warranty wouldn't cover the charges. Seems like there could have been questions asked ahead of time instead of charging $60 to do what i could do myself, look at the leak.
I'm sure this is a reputable company, but today's experience wasn't a good one.
Perhaps the problem is with Choice Home Warranty, and they don't want to bite the hand that feeds them.

The preliminary questions were somewhat difficult to answer. The 1st week in Aug. of '21 I developed a ""clog,"" which I believed originated in the kitchen drain. I wasn't sure how to find a reliable plumber and happened on a page which asked what service I needed. I received a call shortly after I posted my problem, from Joseph's Drain Cleaning. Joseph (the owner) stated someone could come out right away and he advised me of the charge. I stated I needed a couple of hours and he said he would schedule the service call. About 1/2 hr. later a young man came to my door, sent by Joseph. He looked at the water which was backing up in the bathtub, stated it would be a simple fix and proceeded to bring in his ""snake"" machine. He had no materials to avoid any potential ""mess"" so to speak and took my kitchen dishpan to place under the sink. (to catch water in as he took the pipes apart.) He worked at it for a long time, spent some time on the phone and then went in the basement to check how the pipes were connected. He tried again in the kitchen with no luck and said because of the age of the plumbing, it was a difficult job.

I am not sure if a call to Joseph created the next step, but I was devastated with the results. The kitchen drainpipe ran the entire length of the utility room, approx. 25' of heavy galvanized pipe, which the worker decided to cut close to the end of that long pipe. (where it fit into the main house drain, trying to get closer to the clog) Before cutting the pipe he put his ""snake"" machine in one side of my washtubs and he stood in the other side. (so he could reach to cut) When he cut the pipe with an electric saw, the most awful mess was created. All the black ""sludge"" in the long pipe sprayed all over the end of the utility room, in the wash tubs, down the walls, floor, and on my washer. After trying again with no success, he made a call, told me someone else would have to come out and there would be no charge. He connected the cut pipe back together with a thin rubber connector, but the weight of the long pipe was too much (with no ceiling supports) so he hooked a bungee cord around the two cut sections to reinforce the pipe.

Joseph called me the following Monday (08/09) saying he wanted to send someone out to fix the clog for free. I guess some pipes were going to have to be taken apart. I told Joseph about the mess I was left with, and my fears of having anyone come back out from his company. I sent him some photos of what I was left with and told him he could call me back and we could talk. He never called back and in the meantime I had another Plumbing company come out and give me an estimate to take the pipes apart, clear the clog and reassemble the pipes. $450.00 of the estimate was to replace the pipe Joseph's worker cut. The plumber stated the ""repair"" job with the rubber connector and bungee cord would never be approved by the city, when they came out to inspect the new plumber's work.

I was 76 yrs. old that August, lived on a very limited income and could not come up with all the money I needed. I sent Joseph a copy of my estimate showing his share to repair the damage his worker did, sent him additional e-mails, but never received a response from him. I had to go until mid NOVEMBER (over 3 months) carrying dishpans of water from my kitchen into the bathroom to dump down the toilet, couldn't use my bathtub, (no drains on the main floor) and sponge bathed in my basement washtubs! I was able to get a PARTIAL grant from a non-profit, but still had to come up with additional money. I had to use my water bill money which now has been added onto my taxes this year, my escrow account will be short and my mortgage payment will increase in June! In the meantime I wrote Joseph questioning his indifference when he had such great reviews, and I received a one line response from him, only after I mentioned ""small claims court."" He wanted me to call him and I wrote back requesting communication by way of e-mail. I wanted to document our conversation...I never heard from him again, all the items I had under the kitchen sink are still sitting out on my kitchen floor, because I am unable to scrub the mess that was left under the sink. (at 77, I am unable to get down on my knees) Joseph has almost all 5 star reviews and only one where a customer spoke of a ""teenager"" coming to her home...She shared an almost identical experience, so possibly we had the same worker?
