Joe Davidson sold his plumbing business. Now you get employees who try to sell you a $10,000 job of replacing pipes and only need a roto rooting job.
Never again.
I heard that these employees haves sales quotes to meet each week.
We will never use them again!

I thought that this was the Joe Davidson that I used for a decade. They sent out two guys to deal with a clog. They worked on it, then the clog returned. They left off the cap for the access port. They did not have the original Joe Davidson professionalism, detailed focus and punctuality. Do not use them if - as I've been reading on here - Joe has sold the company.

Steer clear of these guys! The other 1* reviews are spot on. Joseph Davidson sold his long time folksy plumbing business that I relied on for quality work. The new business model uses high pressure sales & scare tactics. I also found out they did not completely hydro jet a sewer line and then recommended expensive repairs with a price quote that included an increase after 24 hours. Ridiculous!

I WILL NOT USE THIS COMPANY ever again. This company is not the same as the old Joseph Davidson Plumbing who was very good. The new company came out and used scare tactics to sell me services I doubt I needed at a very high cost. Just like Roto Rooter and the like. I will AVOID THESE GUYS.

I was charged over $187 for the replacement of a broken sprinkler head! There was no itemization of the service charge or the part. I called today and discovered that Joseph Davidson is no longer the owner of this company that had been highly recommended to me. DO NOT USE THESE RIP-OFF ARTISTS!

Joseph A. Davidson had been my trusted plumber for 12 years.

A pair of lavatory faucets needed to be replaced on a pedestal sink. The plumber walked in the door with his tool box at 10:02 AM, and showed me the finished work at 11:11AM. I provided all the parts. The total labor charge was $245.00 for 69 minutes work. The contractor license displayed on the truck is 955742, registered to JET SPEED PLUMBING INC dba RITZ PLUMBING.

According to Homewyse, the high-end charge for this work in the 90034 zip should be $62.70 per hour, plus $50.00 for materials, supplies and disposal or about $122.00 total.

Beware!!! Joe Davidson does not own this company anymore and he sold it to some unethical people. They are using his client list to rip people off. They do not charge by the hour anymore, only flat fees and the fees are high. They do not tell you this, no quote was ever given. To top it all off, they didn't fix anything . One day later everything was back to where it was and the only thing different was a $1000 bill I need to pay. Once they get your money, you will never hear from them again. No calls were returned. Also, Joe's contractor license is expired. I can not find any evidence that these con artists have a contractor's license. Do not use them.

I had used this company before, always for some kind of emergency. They have the emergency contract for many of the Condo Homeowner Associations in the Marina. They had been very responsive, and fair priced. In fact, Joe Davidson (the owner) had given advice on cheaper alternatives.

Unfortunately, things have changed. Joe doesn't own the company or work there, but they will NOT tell you that. I am still not sure who actually runs things there, but it is very difficult if you need to find someone in charge.

So on mid-day on a Saturday, my drains back up, and the toilet almost overflowed. This had happened before which required a lot of cleaning by the plumber's snake. There was a live person answering, and they actually sent someone out quickly (great!). He checked, and showed me that the main 5"" pipe to the sever was 95% blocked. And that all of the drain lines were in this condition, and the charge woud be around...

*****SEVEN THOUSAND FIVE HUNDRED DOLLARS***

Since I had really no choice, I authorized it. He went off to get supplies, and returned with two more men. They worked for 4 hours. And did a great job. But the price estimate went up to $9500. Which I had to pay in full as soon as the work was done.

Now, I am not a plumber. It was an emergency. On a Saturday. They came out and did a lot of work. But I am pretty sure the price should have been half.

I left 4 messages for Joe to call me to discuss the bill. On the 4th call, after they ignored the first 3, they told me that there was no Joe, that the business was under new management. They finally found a manager...I explained that I thought the price was outrageous, and yes I agreed because I had no choice. They gave me a 8% price break.

This company is a shell of its former self.
I arranged for a plumber to work on gas line for fireplace. Was told 8-10am. At 9:50 was called and told 11:30. I said this was unacceptable as I have a 9month old and we had an appointment at 12. So they said 2. At 3:30pm I called them and was told 5pm. In essence keeping me locked in with the baby all day. On arrival plumber says he doesn't have all the necessary parts to fix it so he will return at 8am next morning. At 945 am next day I call them. They tell me 10:30. He comes. Starts work. Says - it needs more work then I thought. I have to pick up more parts. I'll be back within an hour. 3 hours later I call them again. He is another 45 mins. Finally returns and fixes the fireplace... Well so I thought. Was changing baby when he finished. He says it's all working now. I pay a fortune. After he's gone I go to turn fireplace on. It doesn't work!!!
It is now next morning and I have called and complained. I called before 9am. I was told they'd call me back. Over an hour waiting again and so far no call.
I fully understand timing windows with tradesman can change and you need a little flexibility but I have now been locked away 3 days, paid a lot of money, and still have an inoperable fireplace.
Go elsewhere.
