Ronni R.I purchased multiple toto drake 2 commodes as a plumbing company owner was given a lesser toilet than i payed for . It was a big problem with my homeowner who noticed after, my guys left they are fraudulent in my opinion will never ever spend any money at josco they are just a rip off company who won't make things right so i can prove everything i said !!
Luann S.Don't spend money advertising on the radio inviting me to come into your showroom for you to tell me about your Toto fixtures and then have a person just yell at me from an adjacent room with the prices. I expected someone to show me the fixtures and explain the different options and availability, like they did at your competitor's down the street. I was very surprised by the lack of service given the description in your radio ad.
Buyer Beware - Josco in Austin, TX
Terrible Customer Service Experience and watch your wallet.
Called Josco before I went as I needed to replace a 25 year old pressure valve attached to a 3 foot piece of old copper pipe. Explained I had done 4 hours of work digging it out of the dried rocky caliche clay that is my front yard and asked if they would help me figure out a replacement setup. Josco assured me they would be happy to help and to "come on in".
When I got to Josco I was met by a youngish, dark haired sales guy who was busy chatting with two younger plumbers and seemed to be pissed off that another customer came in. I spent 5 minutes or so listening to them discuss everything but plumbing or parts, but that is part of what customer service is all about so I didn't think twice about it. When it came to my turn, I let him know I was the one that called and showed him the 3' piece of pipe and pressure valve that I needed to replace.
One of the Josco salesman's buddies, (the visiting plumber) immediately took interest in my project as he and his friend were walking out the door and advised me that the only way to replace the pipe was to use a 3' pex pipe adapter that he would be glad to fabricate for me for just $600. Both he and the sales guy had a nice laugh as did I, until they informed me that they were serious about the price for him to fabricate the 3 foot piece.
The sales guy and the plumber exchanged a look and both agreed that it was the only way to fix the situation. I inquired about using PVC, or a similar piece of copper or perhaps a short piece of galvanized pipe for the part.
The sales guy begrudginly brought out a piece of pvc with an elbow to show me that it just could not be done any other way other than the $600 option his buddy proposed. He went on to advise me that they did not carry anything similar to the pressure valve but that he might be able "find" me one.
At that point I did not even wait for the inevitable and additionally price gouge quote for the pressure valve and explained I had to step out to take a call. Fortunately for me, and unfortunately for Josco, I have a background in construction although I had just come from a business meeting and my dress code may have thrown them off. Otherwise an unsuspecting and trusting customer might have indeed paid Josco nearly $1000 for a 3' piece of pex pipe, a ball joint and a pressure valve.
Not sure how these guys do business, but unsuspecting customers should know that the seemingly complete lack of ethics and integrity and the sales guy's blatant attempt to find the next "mark" while they rip off a customer is amazing to me.
From Josco I went right down the street to another plumbing supply house and solved the entire problem, with pex pipe adapter, ball joint, new pressure meter, nice and honorable people and a great experience for less than $125.
My opinion of Josco Plumbing Supply is less that 1 star, but that is not an option. Yet another Buyer Beware type of situation.
Excellent customer service. We were told at Home Depot we would have to replace the entire faucet for the kitchen sink as they didn't sell parts even to service its own brands. The guys at Josco found the right part. After a little discussion as to whether it would fit correctly, we went ahead and bought the piece. They said if it wasn't right we could bring it back as long as water wasn't run through it, which was completely reasonable. So a project that could have been in the $200 range got done for about 40 bucks. Thank you, guys!
Jim S.I was searching for a replacement part. After calling several places around Austin, including Home Depot, I called Josco and they saved the day. They had a solid selection of leftover parts in the back and the manager was extremely helpful in making sure the parts matched.
Clint W.Very helpful guys and took the time to help me find the correct part even though is was only $7. It's good to know businesses like this are available instead of the big box stores.
I'm not a plumber, more of a handyman. Had a problem with a tub overflow drain and went into Josco, talked to Matthew, and very soon after left the shop with the parts I needed. It saved me money and time. Good service.
Love, love, love this place! As a contractor, I stand in line all over town, trying to find parts for random things. I went to a competitor and stood there for 20 minutes, for them to hem and haw about why they couldn't match it to the broken part in my hand. Yes, I know it's broken, that's why they need a new one....and yes, I am a female GC, so I also got the little lady attitude. No, I don't know the brand. Here is the part. Clearly has nothing written on it. You are a parts house, that's why I came here.
They referred me to Josco. They will be sorry they did, as I will not shop anywhere else for my plumbing supplies. Walked in, showed him the parts, he walked over and grabbed them off the shelf, and I paid - in under five minutes. And he was checking someone else out when I got there.
My only concern about writing this review? That the secret will be out.... Josco is the only place to go for plumbing supplies in Austin.
So this is the place that plumbers will go to find solutions to fixing things as opposed to throwing away and buying a new one. I had to do some work on an rv's water system, these gentlemen sold me the filter I needed, that no one else is town had. Great can do people!!!
Ric F.My plumber recommended Josco to help me get a replacement Water supply cartridge for our shower. The one I picked up at a competitor was defective and the sales people told me I needed a name brand cartridge if it were to work properly. They had one in stock (Moen) that works perfectly, and smoother than any one I had used in the last 11 years. Genaro went above and beyond the call!
