James was very knowledgeable, told me I needed a simple gasket but also changed out the water supply connection & water valve. I did ask for all new tank parts. He taught me how to change the gasket (like a YouTube video) which I watched & talked myself out of lol. Fantastic service from the first call to finished job. I highly recommend
We requested Jones & Sons to come out and assess a faulty gasket in our toilet tank. The technician agreed it should be replaced. The estimate I was given was for the gasket and the entire toilet mechanism (which was NOT faulty) to be replaced. The total charge was $433.66. We declined and were charged the $99.00 dispatch fee.
John M.The plumber arrived at the scheduled time, was polite, professional, provided a reasonable estimate and completed his work quickly.
Unfortunately, I am one of the """"little old ladies"""" who were warned in an earlier review , which I did not read in time. In December I hired Jones & Sons to install a small tub and prebuilt surround in my mobile home. I thought the price was exceptionally high at close to $5400.00 but they said they could start it within the week and I did not really know what a reasonable price should be and was anxious to get the job done. Silly me! I also assumed the price was for a completed job. I was left without molding around the tub enclosure and 3 fairly large holes in my bathroom walls. They also gave me a price to replace parts in a toilet tank for $600.00 which I declined. I had the work done 2 days later for $60.00 Jones & Sons were supposed to contact me with the number of a contractor who could complete the molding around the tub enclosure. I phoned them 2 times in the next week to get that number with no response.
Paul W.Took advantage of my wife's ignorance of plumbing, and charged me $750 for a $25 valve, and 4-point solder job that would have taken me 20-30 minutes to do myself. But since I was out of town, I got screwed. Predatory pricing. BEWARE.
I needed plumbing installed in my shed for a washing machine. I received a prompt response for my request for a quote. Jake was professional and on time! The quote was explained thoroughly and work began as agreed. Everything went as planned from start to finish. Great Work! I will be giving their name to my friends for their plumbing needs.
Sue K.$500 to do a simple kitchen faucet install. We provided the faucet. Shutoffs were there. The job took 1/2 hour. Our fault not to ask for the price ahead. They have a set price, no matter the job. On top of a $100 service charge. Their motto is """"Where the plumping bird says cheap, cheap! Not the case. We've installed several faucets in the past 10 years or so, 3 being last summer, and have never paid that much.
Bonnie B.I purchased a faucet replacement for my bathroom sink online and needed someone to install it. I was told that a diagnostic visit would cost $100 and then if I accepted the job the $100 would be applied to the cost of the job. We set an appointment for later in the week but I received a call that there was room in the schedule to come out this afternoon. I estimated the job would take 20-30 minutes tops as the faucet was only a year old and part of a bathroom remodel. So I was shocked when the plumber arrived and I was told the the price was going to be over $300. But if I refused the job I would still need to pay $100 for the visit. Wow. I asked them to reconsider and the plumber called the office in Safety Harbor. I asked to speak to the manager and negotiated a price of $225. The work took 27 minutes (I timed it) not including processing my credit card etc. The company told me they have been purchased by a larger company so they are no longer a local Safety Harbor company. The tech was great and the end product was great. I wish I had asked for the cost of the project before the visit... I would have cone elsewhere. I share this information so that others can learn from my experience. I should have requested, or the office manager should have offered, a price quote. I did speak to the office manager before posting this so this should not come as a surprise.
Scott K.Jones & Sons is a great, fair and honest company. Anyone I've talked to on the phone (usually Jimmy) and had come out to our house has been extremely friendly and knowledgeable. We've have many things done, from dishwasher and garbage disposal installation to a swap out of the trim on our drop in Jacuzzi tub, which was a very tricky job. We've never had an issue with any of the work we've had done. Highly recommend Jones & Sons!
Brian G.Wow! Just Wow!!! Talk about a top notch, professional company. The two gentlemen that came out were neat, efficient and super nice! Don't even call around for estimates as this company was fair and honest. Thank you Jones and Sons for such awesome service!
