They always come when I call! Great service!!! They service both my ax and furnace. We have been a customer for over 20 years
I've had Ray from Johnson's do 3 plumbing jobs for me and he also did one for my mother. He arrived on time, was clean and did a great job. I am more than pleased with his work! He is very friendly and took the time to answer my questions. My mother found him friendly and was pleased with his work. I would highly recommend Ray to do any of your plumbing jobs!!
I was not at home July 3rd when our a/c went out. My wife called and Johnson's came out and replaced the contactor. An hour later the breaker would trip and would not allow the air to start. Had no air over the weekend. Johnson's came out monday morning and said the compressor was shot and there was no compression and gave us an estimate for ~4500 for a new unit. When i got back Monday i called our original installer. He came out and showed me the contactor was wired incorrectly. He also showed the compressor was working great with full pressure. He switched some wires and a/c has been working great since.
From this encounter I can see two scenarios:
1. They are incompetent, or more likely
2. They purposely sabotaged the air to force my wife to buy a new over-priced, not needed system
I paid $110 for another company to fix their deception. Needless to say i would not recommend this company to anyone.
If you want over charged for parts and labor call Johnson Heating & Air Conditioning . I had a blower motor go bad I could buy the exact part for $225.00. Johnson's charged me $419.00 plus $90.00 to come to the house. It took the service man 15 minutes max to install.
If I can buy the part for $225.00 Johnson can buy it for allot less they are crazy to charge $419.00 they should be put in jail for robbery If you need a humidifier pad they will sale you one for $25.00 to $30.00 anyone can buy the same one on line for $8.00.
Make them the last call because your going to get ripped off.

Jill K.Unbelievably helpful and came at a moments notice. They were respectful and very nice to work with. It eased our minds. In fact the guy that came to do the work was off and came in because they had gotten so many calls of people needing help! Seemingly a great company that employees even want to work on an off day!
Connie D.This company installed my furnace, AC, humidifier and aircleaner in 2008 at a cost of over $8K. I had them come out every six months for the semi annual cleaning/checkup. About three years ago, the air cleaner wasn't working very well..lots of noticeable dust in the house. I am very digilent about cleaning those three filters. I had the serviceman show me how to do it on his very first checkup. When I scheduled a service call to check the aircleaner, the serviceman told me I had left pieces of papertowel on one of the filters and this caused one of the lights to flash. I believed him.
Then on another visit I complained about the aircleaner. This time he replaced a couple of parts that were still under warranty. Still didn't fix the problem. Last fall, I had another Trane company come in to do my fall checkup and again complained about the aircleaner. This guy asked if I was cleaning the filters, which I said yes, all three. He asked me about the fourth filter. This was the first time I had heard about a fourth filter. I took out the three filters to show him, he reached back into the furnace and pulled out the fourth filter. This filter had a half inch of filth on it. It hadn't been cleaned in nine years. Not only was I not cleaning this fourth filter, neither was the service man that I was paying twice a year to clean and check out my furnace. This filth was getting blown into my house every time the furnace and AC ran.
In the spring of 2018, I brought Johnson back to do the spring maintenance. I again complained about the air cleaner. This time I stood right there and watched the man pull out the three filters. He again decided it was another part, still covered under the ten year warranty. Never pulled out that fourth filter.
When Johnson called this fall about scheduling the maintenance call, I spoke with Gary...president of the company. He got very defensive about his serviceman and basically called me a liar because his serviceman would have never missed that fourth filter. I hung up. I don't need the aggravation of dealing with assholes.
I will never have a good word to say about Johnson Heating in Norvelt...you're better off picking a name out of the phonebook than dealing with Johnson.
If I could give them negative stars I would. In a nutshell beware. I had a tech look at my furnace due to no heat. He told me it was the heat exchanger and it's very expensive to fix and my furnace is out of warranty so I might want to think about getting a new furnace for which he gave me an astronomical estimate. Being it was an outrageous price I opted to get a second opinion. I called a heating and cooling contractor in Youngwood. They were great! They did some research on my serial number of the furnace.she found that the warranty IS valid until 2025. They over to start the claim process to make sure it was the heat exchanger. The new tech was very thorough and told me there was nothing wrong with it. It actually was the blower motor. He replaced the motor and it works like a beast. How can they sleep at night. .
Overcharged and the installed faucet had a knob going in the opposite direction from the original one so every time the kids use one bathroom they have to remember the faucet knob moves in a different direction than the spare bathroom. Wasn't even asked if I would prefer a similar faucet as one removed.
Candace K.I have had to use Johnson three times in 15 years, most recently today. ( twice for Ac and once for heating problems). The techs are honest and I have always been pleasantly surprised by the ""bottom line"". They respond quickly and their work is excellent.
Britton C.We are unhappy with Johnson's Heating and Cooling; particularly the service they provide in Greensburg, PA.
Our smart thermostat began sending us an alert that it was not receiving adequate power from the ""Rh"" line running to our 1920's boiler powering our radiant heating system. As such, the boiler stopped working.
We paid $80 to have a tech come out and diagnose the issue, and we were sure to tell him about the ""Rh line alert"" we had received.
Upon inspecting our boiler, it was determined that a new gas valve was needed, and the whole boiler system (including pipes) would need to be replaced. The quote? $11,260.
We were suspicious of the diagnosis (as the valve has nothing to do with the wiring), and called in another heating company to come take a look.
The new tech quickly identified a blown fuse, and replaced the part for $240, including an after-hours visit fee.
We simply don't believe that a company could whiff that badly, so one of two things has become clear to us about Johnson's:
1. They are liars looking for chumps who will pony up cash blindly.
2. They don't know heating systems.
We're not sure which scenario is more damning, so we'll let you, the review reader, figure it out!
Take your hard-earned savings somewhere else, and always, ALWAYS get a second opinion.
