I received great service from John's Plumbing. The gentleman who assisted was so professional and very nice (Marc). He told me the issues and gave me the option to say yes or no and didn't try to be overly persuasive - I felt very comfortable. I called many plumbing companies and John's plumbing was so professional and upbeat over phone and scheduled me for the next morning. They were very efficient, on time and sent me the bill via email and it was very easy to pay. I would absolutely use them again.

Amazing workmanship and reasonable pricing.

I had to come on yo review after having the best trades worker experience I have had since I have been in business.

Not only did Brian take care of my initial issue but he actually stuck around to explain how I could perform routine maintenance to my system free of charge! He was there for a full 4 hours and I was only charged the minimum fee.

I highly recommend this company for any of your plumbing needs especially in condo associations or high rise residences. They have amazing technicians and are extremely polite and professional especially with their office staff.

Charged us almost $3000 and fixed nothing in our unit. When we questioned charges could not supply adequate justification for charges. Never use them

Had them come out to unplug a drain. They said it could not be unclogged. Told it needed some major work to be done for $9,000.
Had another company come out and it was fixed for $325.00.

Horrible! My condo association hired them for a riser replacement project.
Faulty work done by a three-year apprentice was left unchecked, resulting in a leak that extensively damaged nine units. Damage was so bad that some unit occupants had to move out. Avoid at all costs.

This is one of the most greedy service companies I have ever seen. Our kitchen faucet wasn't working. They came in for 15 mins and told us to replace it. We bought a new faucet and have them come in for the 2nd time to install it. They spent no more than an hour. And they sent us a bill for $647 (they charged for 3.5 hours and $185 hourly rate). We asked them to explain the 3.5 hours. They couldn't provide the details and just simply said 1.5 hours for the 1st visit and 2 hours for the 2nd, including some travel time and minimum charge...This is ridiculous and total bullshit! Also, $185 hourly rate is way above the market and they didn't give us any estimate before that. If you see this post, please do NOT hire them.

This is the right plumbing company for you, if you don't care about cost or integrity. My first experience with Johns Plumbing was when they installed a new dishwasher in our kitchen. The appliance store was unable to schedule installation for several weeks, so I asked our building management to recommend a plumber. Johns did the job perfectly, but billed $770 for work that would have been $159, had I waited for store installation. After I complained, Johns ""adjusted"" the charge, because our building is a ""preferred customer."" Six months later, on a weekend, when a valve started to leak, building management again summoned Johns. This time, mindful of the dishwasher, I started a stopwatch when the plumber arrived and stopped only after the plumber had completed the job and left the unit. Elapsed time: 36 minutes. The bill: $847! I sent an email, requesting billing details, which yielded no reply. The following week, I phoned with the same request. The detail that I received, two days later, explained that overtime rates applied, and I was billed for 3.5 hours @ $225/hour, plus $60 for parts. So, do the math -- we paid over $600 for travel to and from a 36 minute job. BTW, while I don't know where the plumber lives, Johns office is 8.4 miles from our building. This was not right!

I have used John's Plumbing exclusively for my residence and place of work for the past 3+ years. The provide excellent service regardless of the size or complexity of the project. If you are looking for an honest, reliable and reasonable vendor, these are the guys! I definitely recommend John's Plumbing.

This was my first experience with a plumber outside of working on a remodel with a contractor so I admittedly have limited experience to draw from but wasn't pleased with the service. I called John's on the referral of my condo building manager, as the hot water in my bathroom sink turned on full blast by itself twice in a 24-hour period. The person I spoke with on the phone was up front that I would be charged a full hour's worth of time for a plumber to come and assess the issue. The plumber who arrived, Kenny, was very courteous and seemed knowledgeable, but it took him less than 10 minutes to 'assess' the issue and he barely looked at it. Seems silly to have to pay for a full hour's worth of work for a problem that apparently required no rigorous investigation. I was told at that point that they would need to order a part which should cost between $24-$40. I received two parts in the mail, and the plumber returned today to fix the problem, which he did promptly within 30 minutes. I should also mention that both times the plumber arrived late against the quoted estimated time of arrival, and I wasn't given a heads up regarding a delay either time. In fairness, definitely understand they get pulled into emergencies but utility companies typically notify customers of delays in advance and I was surprised that was not offered in this case. Anyway, imagine my surprise that I was then billed $688: $167/hour x 2 hours, with the remainder being classified as 'parts' which equates to $354. I had to call back and explain to whomever answered that a) the cost I was quoted was $24-$40, and b) I only needed one part and never asked for a second part to be ordered 'in the event that the same thing happens to the other side of my faucet'. Had I not complained, I would've been charged $177 per part, when I was quoted a much much lower original price, as well as for a part that I didn't need or ask for. They agreed to adjust my bill, remove the cost of the second part, and reduce the charge of the part I did need; however, I was then asked to mail the spare unneeded part back at my own cost in order to have it removed from the bill. Like other reviewers have said, this is definitely not how companies I typically interact with treat their customers and I am left feeling like I was taken advantage of. My advice: look elsewhere as it seems there are plumbers with much better reviews out there. If you're going to work with John's, be very clear when communicating about parts (both number and cost), what you will/won't pay for and ask for an itemized bill upon completion of the service.

Terrible customer service. Wasn't helpful on the phone and said they were booked without offering any explanation despite calling them earlier and them confirming an appointment
