Recommended Customer Reviews

I just posted an excellent review about this business less than 2 weeks ago and now have to take it all back. Nine days after fixing a broken pipe on the exterior of our house, the repair failed and we woke up Sunday morning to no water. We immediately called John's and were told they would come out right after the call they were on. That was at 9:00 a.m. After several calls, we cancelled the plans we had for late afternoon because they promised the plumber would come by. Around 3:00, they asked if they could make us the first call the next morning - today - because the job they were working was bigger than they thought. They said they would come by at 7:00 a.m., so we left for a hotel so we could shower. This morning, my husband left early for the house to be sure he was home when they arrived. It is now 8:30 at night and, you guessed it, no plumber today! In the morning, the excuse was that someone made a mistake and sent the guys out on a different call instead of to us. By this afternoon, still no one after many promises. They even gave us the plumber's cell phone number and he promised he would come by. Didn't happen. All I can say is, do NOT use them. Lots of empty promises with no follow-through.

Is there a way to put in a minus star to the rating? Man, I got royally shafted by these people. I called them first because in the past they had done a great job for me, but this time around, I made the mistake to trust and not get a quote upfront for the work they where about to perform, and this opened a door to let them take me to the cleaners. What was a job that shouldn't of costed me no more than say $150 (clear a blockage in the pipe - I know this, because I called someone else), they presented a bill to me that could have gone to $1000!!! My g'd! What a terrible feeling! Stay away, call the next guy, this is just not going to well for you. Lesson learned!

I had them come out to replace 2 washer valves. He installed them without putting in a utility box and they wobble all over. On top of that I came home a few weeks later from a 9 day vaction and found water leaking out the garage. Pulled the washer away and he installed the washer hose crooked and it leaked. What a rip off company.

Here's how Johns Plumbing extorted me: I called in based on semi good reviews posted on this site bc my water heater was leaking. I am a home renter and according to my (contractor) landlord, the water heater was brand new. Indeed they were fast and arrived at my house within the hour to asses the leak. The supervisor at my house stated her needed to take my heater in and replace it, could run about $350, however, if my heater was under warranty he would only charge $75 for the transport. Seemed fair. So my landlord told me to proceed via email, he was out of the country or he would have done this himself. The following day, 2 different workers showed up in a work truck and got to work taking off my water heater. After they drilled and installed and came back with both my old one, as well as a new one. After about 3 hours of labor, the man calls me into the garage and hands me nearly a $900 BILL!!!! I argued and told him my quote was for $350 when he stated yes then labor and ah blah with no solid answer. I asked him to write a breakdown of these prices and he scribbled numbers with no explanation. Mind you, I am a 5'1 little blonde girl, and this big plumber is getting pissed I won't pay!- what was I going to do?!! So yes, I ended up paying $900 for a new water heater. Better be turnin water into diamonds at that price!!! I want John's Plumbing to look into this extortion and give me a partial refund as deserved.

This place is terrible. They were late by 40 minutes for the first appointment and never called to let me know they were running late. As a result the person at the property who they were suppose to meet left. When the plumber arrived 40 minutes late and no one was home, the representative calls me asking very rudely why no one is home! I told them because they were late, and the representative, Crystal, gives me some run around and never apologizes. I reschedule for 2 PM. By 3:30 no was has showed up or called to let me know they are running late. I call the representative who again very rudely tries to blame anyone and everyone else for her companies lack of service. I'll never call this place again.

We called for a plumbing repair, they tell us, we will be there after lunch tomorrow, we waited and waited and show up after 4 pm, somebody take a long lunch. He looked at the problem and give us a price and set the repair for 8 am next day. Again we waited,by 10 am he has not called or show up so we cancel and called somebody else that was $75. more expensive but was there in time and done a great professional job. Sometime it is worth to pay more and they show up on time.

I called John's Plumbing on a Friday because both toliets were backed up and wouldn't flush. They came out, snaked the drain and the toliets flushed again. On Monday morning, both toliets were again backed up and wouldn't flush so I called at 8:15 am and asked them to come back out. I was told that the technician was on a job at the moment and I would be the next service call. The estimated time was 1-3 hours. After not hearing from anyone, I called again at 1 pm and was told that the technician would be coming that day. I called again after 3 after not hearing from anyone and was told that they """"guaranteed"""" that someone would be coming THAT DAY. I called and left 4 messages after 5 pm. No one ever showed up or returned my calls. I missed an entire day's pay and waited all day for nothing. I would never recommend this company to anyone.

not only did they show up one hour late but when they arrived at my guard gate the worker did not have a drivers license on him. They were going to let him in but when they looked his name up in the database it turns out his license was expired. Needless to say he was not let in. How can a reputable company have people working and driving their vehicles without a valid driving license? What else do they not properly do?

i called told them what i need it done. when the tech got there my daughter called me with the estimate and i ok the work. when igot home they fixed the sink but did not replaced the leaky valve, i called then and they said they would talk to the tech and they would call me back. i quit waiting for their call after a week. last time i call them or recomend them for any thing

We had the worst service. Their first task was to unclog a washer line. They ended up suggesting we tear out the wall and run a new pipe. Instead we called our uncle and he shoved a garden hose down the pipe and unclogged it in a second. Their second task was to replace a broken handle on a toilet. Since this involves the entire ball and chain, they put that in as well. From that point on, it leaked for a month. Drove me crazy. Finally called a recommended plumber and he fixed it in 15 minutes. They were a waste of money, time and especially water.
