Pleased with service (cleared clogged drain on main line). They quickly returned calls and had someone available if needed after hours. I scheduled for next day and they showed up on time. Only downside was the plumber that showed up did not have a camera if needed; someone else would have had to come. It wasn't really needed. Overall happy with results.

Had a clog kitchen drain line and hire Johnny Rooter to unclog the drain. The lady on the phone (Debbie?) was very nice and helpful and was able to provide the exact quote via the phone (no surprises!). Terry came out shortly after the call, he was prompt and polite. It took him a little longer (according to me) than usual, but he was able to clear the line.. And he even went a little further to make sure the line is completely free (70' deep). Anyway, job well done and they charged as quoted on the phone! Thank you!

I had one of those homeowner moments - just as I'm drifting off to a nice well-earned sleep, my daughter shakes me awake and says, "I think there's poop and pee in the upstairs bathtub!". "What!?". Long story short, I had a clog in my pipes, and my toilet had backflowed/upchucked into my bathtub. Lovely. After futile attempts with a snake, and a midnight run to Walmart (after finding that HD and Lowe's no longer stay open late), and trying the super DrainPower opener with no luck, I reluctantly go to bed. Call Johnny at 8 in the morning, and he tells me no problem. Someone will be there in two hours. Cameron (a very polite and well-spoken young man) shows up at 10. 30 minutes later, we're all good. Turns out the clog was a monster hair ball, ~30ft into the pipe, so I would never have reached it. This is why we have experts and professionals. Cameron cleans up, and leaves the place looking spotless. Couldn't ask for more.
Hope to never have to use them again :), but you definitely should!! :)

Both kitchen sinks backed up late last night, so called them this morning after I reached my usual plumber who was out of town and on vacation. He told me this is the only company he recommends for this kind of job.
They worked me in within two hours.
Cody was prompt, professional, thorough, and willing to explain the process.
I will definitely call this company again, but of course never plan to, because this is my last plumbing problem ever, for the rest of my life, so I meant to write that I will highly recommend this company to anyone who needs a plumber.

Cameron just came out to fix what we thought was going to be a blocked sewer line. Just turned out to be some really bad clogs and dried P-traps. He spent the time to explain to us what he was doing and how we -as new homeowners- could better care for our home to prevent problems and do easy routine maintenance ourselves. He was a pleasure to speak to and the price was less than we anticipated. I couldn't be happier or say enough nice things about him.

What it all boils down to is integrity. Johnny Rooter didn't work on my pipes, in fact I didn't contract them to do anything. One of their vehicles damaged mine in a parking lot and the owner of the business called me directly, apologized, and took care of the damage, paying the body shop directly. This should tell you a lot about how they operate. Integrity.

First I called Union Jack Plumbing and he referred me to Johnny Rooter (thinking it was in issue he doesn't usually handle). I called and they came out the same day! Tooter showed up and was just as nice and professional as he could be. While I didn't have the problem I thought I did (thankfully) he spent some time educating me on some things I could do to prevent future problems (and gave me names and numbers of the folks who will do a good job). Tooter also told me about the coupons on the website so I was able to save a few dollars there too. So nice to have a good experience! What a great guy!!

2 plumbers came to install a new toilet who shall remain nameless. Plumber 1 said I bought an overpriced toilet & it would break down & be hard to fix (Toto). They took all day, charged a fortune. Plumber 2 put his hands on the new paint & left greasy black prints on the wall. After they left I saw the toilet which was larger than the one they removed was jammed up against the water valve which was in the open position & could not be turned off due to the toilet preventing shutting off the valve. If ever I needed to shut the water off, I could not. Plumber 1 came back to fix it & said no one told him he had to worry about the water valve. They were told to install a toilet & they installed a toilet. Besides he said, Plumber 2 installed it, not me. So it was not his fault by one means or another. Then he added that it was the architect's fault for not leaving enough room. The condo is 30 years old & these big skirted toilets didn't exist then to require that much room. He couldn't admit the error. In addition, the 2 plumbers made numerous trips down the stairs to the truck, up and down, all day, never having what they needed, they drove to the store twice, & when I made these complaints to Plumber 1, he yelled very angrily at me that he was an upfront guy. On the bill was listed: Parts $89. What parts? How much each? Where's the receipts? That's upfront? In reading the other reviews it seems that customer's experience depends on which plumber they had & how simple the job was. My chief complaint about all plumbers is that they will not arrive with the tools needed for the job despite careful description by customer of what is wrong & the type toilet. They come out, look at the job, go away, go shopping, charge you, out to the truck, back in, out to the truck, maybe go shopping again b/c the first time they forgot something. it's just baloney the way they work. If I used this company again, I would not let them assign these 2 plumbers to me. I know you all would like to be alerted to who they are but I don't want to put their names into a review that shows they're so inept. Okay, initials, Plumber 1, initials are A.T. Plumber 2, first name, C.

Everything was just fine! Dennis from Johnny Rooter was on-time, pleasant, personable, and did his job well, outside, in the hot hot Austin heat.
The bill was not as bad as I was expecting, and he clued me in that there are coupons for $10 off on their website and in the yellow pages.
All in all, it was a pleasure doing business with them, and knowing my cloggy, rooty, ancient pipes, I'll be calling them again!

I've had nothing but great experiences with Johnny Rooter. They communicate well. They tell you when they're coming and they come within the allotted time frame.
What we did FIRST: We had a clogged kitchen sink drain. I called ROTO ROOTER (not Johnny) at 8am (bad idea) - they said they would be out to my house in an hour. I waited and waited until 930. I was late for work so I re-scheduled them for 330 when my wife would be home. They came at 4, told us that they could TRY to snake the drain for $260. My wife put me on the phone and I told the guy to GO HOME!
WHAT WE SHOULD HAVE DONE: We called Johnny Rooter to the rescue. We scheduled them to come out between 330-5. They called at 230 to say that they'd be there at 330. Dennis came in, diagnosed the problem in about 30 seconds. NO SNAKE NEEDED. He clogged up the kitchen sink drains, filled the sink all the way to the top then pulled the plug. Turns out that our kitchen sink is poorly ventilated and we will have to continue to do this trick forever.. which stinks.
WHAT WE ARE GOING TO DO IN THE FUTURE: Call Johnny first!
