Beware of this company, because they will overcharge you if they can, and if you try to talk to them about it, they will become argumentative.

I had a leak under my sink on a Saturday. A plumber from Johnny Rooter was called. By the time he came, my neighbor had already come and helped fix the problem. The plumber came in, noted the leak was fixed, looked briefly at the water damage, and left after about 30 minutes without any work being done. On Monday I received an invoice for $75 for the service call, and $168.50 for the "labor". A total of $243.50. The cost for calling them and having him come I understand. The labor charge was not justifiable in any way.

When I called the Johnny Rooter company and spoke to the representative, explaining no work had been done and there are three witnesses to the fact, I was told $243.50 is the minimum charge for any call on the weekend, and that I should not pursue it.

Their charging system seems quite shameless in this respect. I see there are several other people on Yelp with similar stories ("service cost twice as much as expected", "paid for a service but nothing was done", and many stories of no mention of costs until the invoice was received with exorbitant charges.

I have only used them once, and never will again. I will also do my best to spread the word that this company should be avoided.

Very nice people but they have gotten crazy expensive. They sent out two people (one appeared to be a trainee) on a non-weekend and non-emergency call. A garden hose faucet (bibb) needed replacing and I was afraid that I had messed it up since it would not come off and got a tiny bit twisted around.

The people were nice and decided that the only thing needed was to unscrew the old faucet (it took some muscles) and screw the new one on. The cost was just under $250! Seriously, they only had to unscrew the old one and screw on the new one. Took about 15 minutes and they even had me turn the water to the house off and later back on myself. And the faucet itself is now crooked!

I contacted the company and the owner feels that the charge is reasonable. Too bad that he has gotten so greedy and charges so much. He must have a yacht payment due.

I was disappointed today when Johnny Rooter did a ten minute job and charged $55 for service call and $128 for labor. I think this was exorbitant...

Our toilet broke last night and I looked on Next Door for a recommendation. Johnny Rooter got excellent reviews. I called first thing in the morning and they were here in record time.
I have a dog who doesn't always greet new people with a smile be he warmed right up to the fellas, Robert and Jason.
They were so nice, friendly, professional and efficient. They repaired the toilet quickly and cleaned up when they done, very reasonable prices. I would HIGHLY recommend them to anyone in need of plumbing services and want a trustworthy local company. A++!

I had two blocked up toilets that I couldn't fix myself. I had a nightmare experience trying to deal with American Home Shield to find a plumber to help me with my problem. I went through three of their affiliates with no success. They didn't have the tools, or were not willing to help me for the small amount of money AHS was willing to pay them. A lesson learned for me when it comes to plumbing work and AHS.

Enter Johnny Rooter. I knew nothing about this business except what I had read on Yelp and a single recommendation on my Neighborhoods Facebook page. Most of it was positive stuff. I was desperate at this point as my toilets had been down for three days. During those three days, communications with the AHS plumbers gave me the belief that my situation was potentially a disaster (broken sewer under slab, dislodged pipe, major root blockage). I pulled the trigger with Johnny Rooter.

Within 24 hours, Will showed up at my door with confidence he could fix my problem. It took him all but 10 minutes to diagnose the issue. He let me watch the process and explained every step. He did a through job and made sure everything was functioning properly before he left. It turned out to be no big deal and he charged me 150 bucks.

A Johnny Rooter magnet is now proudly displayed on my refrigerator door. Thanks Will.

Got a quote for clogged toilet. They arrived in 4 hours. Talk about FAST service!! Cameron & Luis checked my toilet and noticed I needed a new fill valve. They changed it, and the service was reasonably priced. Cameron has been with the company for 11 years. He is very polite and professional. Truly grateful to have Cameron and Luis fix my toilet. The owner, Johnny, has been in business for 40 years. Very impressed with this company and would highly recommend. Overall great experience!

Called Johnny Rooter for a kitchen sink back up affecting my dishwasher too. My initial call was answered promptly, service was scheduled within 48 hrs, & I received a call early on day of visit to confirm.

Kaine Turner arrived promptly after my call that he was on his way. He was kind & super helpful. He showed me where the problem was, gave me tons of useful tips on my pipes, faucet, & garbage disposal. We visited about other things as he made the repair. He was professional, extremely knowledgeable, and very nice man.

I will not hesitate to use this company again & will certainly request Kaine to come back out when a plumber is needed at mi casa!
